This. Threads like these, and how often we get them really drive home how many of you people are actually, factually autistic.

1. Nazis are evil.
2. However, even they have limits.
3. Pillar Men are super evil.
4. Kars wants to break limits.
5. Nazis want to stop super evil.

It's not that hard of a trope to understand. It's a matter of escalation, the Pillar Men are so powerful that the Nazis recognize their strength as something that could affect humanity. Sure, they had plans for utilizing their power for their own purposes, but those were quickly dashed.

Its easy to forget that most of the germans in the nazi army were just normal guys and Jojo's really just reinforces that. And the fact that the arc takes place in the 30s before the nazis really get into the genocide aspects helps reinforce this notion as well. The Germans had plenty honor but it was masked by the events of world war II and the choices of their superiors at the end of the day.

Stroheim's introduction is literally him murdering a villageful of innocent people for their blood and 'rewarding' a brave boy who tried to sacrifice himself for them by killing them all instead of him. And his actions in Switzerland nearly led to the Pillar Men obtaining the Red Stone early, if it wasn't for Joseph then Ultimate Kars would've happened then and there and killed everybody he pleased. He was presented as an ally with nobility, but also a scumbag.

Not at all, the Pillar Men didn't give a shit about 99% of humanity. Wamuu ate some Nazis after they provoked him, Kars killed a couple of guys about to run over a dog and ACDC killed Loggins, but that was pretty much it. Note that they're the ONLY villains other than Kira who are never shown to mass-kill civilians - Dio killed tons of villagers and later a bunch of people in Cairo, Diavolo got half of Rome killed with Green Day, Pucci killed tons with C-Moon, and Valentine wiped out miles of land with people on it with Love Train.

Wamuu said he only cared about fighting and not ruling, Kars just wanted to be perfect, and ACDC was just along for the ride.

The Japanese allied with the Germans, so it's not so unreasonable to have a show where that "historically we were on the same side" angle might result in a different outlook, esp combined with the attitude that even though the commanders may have terrible motives individual soldiers in their troops may still be decent people. Because it was written in the 80s and set before the war began when everyone the world over thought Hitler was awesome and the Nazis a positive force for change in post-war Germany. Part of the joke is how Joseph sings his praises but we as readers know what happens just a few short years later. Araki is a pretty left wing guy but he's not an oblivious idiot so he's not going to make every Nazi appear comically evil for no reason.

Pillar-women were most likely just as fierce as the men, and the anime showed him and ACDC being attacked by them as well as guys. They weren't helpless and cowering.
And the Pillar-Men also had an extremely low birth and death-rate, as is appropriate for any long-living species that isn't increasing. Santana and Wamuu were the only kids, and Kars and ACDC took and raised them.

That doesn't count for anything when the whole point of locating Aja (amazing album by the way) in the first place was to become the ultimate perfect beings to subjugate the human race as Cars had planned, and the fact that they literally genocided the fuck out of their own race and went several thousand years out of their way just to make it happen. Even if AC/DC was a lovably eccentric asshole and Wham was a badass honorable warrior, you can't deny they were still evil as fuck and their methods were flat out brutal.

Absolutely not. Reread, Kars wanted to become the Ultimate being to improve himself and (above all) to be immune to sunlight. It literally never says he wanted to subjugate humanity ever, he didn't give a crap about humans to the extent of having casual but intimate conversations where he humbled himself to Wamuu in front of them, without even acting as though they were there.

And he genocided the fuck out of his own race in self-defense, there weren't many of them around in the first place and they sentenced him and ACDC to death, attacking them en-masse because they didn't like his stone masks.

If you want to bring up his genocidal tendencies then bring up the time he and the others tried to wipe out all hamon-users (including children) because they posed a threat to them. Humans in general and his own species were never his intended targets.

And while I did like the Pillar Men's dynamic with eachother in the earlier chapters, it became quite clear by the end that his allies weren't as important to him as the stone. Yeah, I'm pretty certain the Pillar Men never mentioned anything about using their power to dominate humanity, all Kars was focused on was reaching the ultimate summit of evolution. He never actually said what he wanted to do with his power, simply being immune to sunlight was originally his end-goal before he decided to kill Joseph.

It's the humans who talk about the threat of the Pillar Men and how they could end up upsetting the balance of life on Earth, not the Pillar Men themselves saying that this is any part of their plan. It's understandable that they'd be frightened - humans are the natural prey of the Pillars, after all - but all they could really do was expect the worst.

Kars' ambitions were kind of like bodybuilding, as in he wanted the perfect body. Given how ruthless he was in acquiring said perfect body it'd be understandable of people to think he wanted it so he could beat people up, but really it was simply having it that he was after.
