How does this make you feel?
He's talking about the missing glove in the chapter that was fixed in the tankobon.
A real fuckup, wow, everyone will notice this
Who gives a shit holy fuck
Plot errors are much more important
>Incoming next arc of OP
>RGB vs. Magenta/Yellow
Did Oda buy a new printer or something?
>Reiju is yet another pink haired princess
>>152464944 (Only Reiju)
I closed Photoshop without saving so I had to redo it.
The retard trio's hair looks darker don't know why.
I googled how to do this 15 minutes ago.
>Everyone thought they were just blond
>Instead they're fucking sentai
>people are upset about this
Honestly, looking back it shoulda been obvious considering how they all have a color in their main names
Wonder what sanji would have been.
You guys do realize this is just to drive home the fact that Sanji is untainted with Judge's experiments and is the closest to biologically being his son, right?
Which makes his treatment even worse.
Sorry, didn't realize there was a new thread.
Choosing a favorite Paramecia type is really hard, there's a lot of really great ones.
I only dislike Nami now, her character has devolved a lot recently and if not for WCI it'd be Sanji but since he got more character again he's fine.
And Oars totally counts as an animal.
I'm not a fan of the colors
this should be done in order to tell apart characters that look very similar
but I feel like they had different enough designs that this wasn't necessary
maybe because they were genetically enhanced that it altered the hair color or something, but regardless I still don't like it
>How does this make you feel?
That the post time skip color schemes they choose for characters are so fucking ugly.
Honestly I kinda like it. All these wild colors against Sanji's powerful blonde almost gives the vibe of a superhero team or something.
I do find it interesting that the Dad's hair is an orageish yellow though.
What's wrong with Carrot's colors?
Nothing, they are great. When they were revealed people were going nuts about it looking unnatural and her being blonde. Some time passed and nothing was complaining anymore.
I think the Vinsmokes' color schemes are very interesting, and having them all be blond would be boring.
I think that most people that are complaining will realize that the only reason they look odd is because of all of them being together. Seeing each color scheme on its own makes them a lot more natural.
>Can see part of Sanji's other eye, but not the pupil or eyebrow
What did Oda mean by this? Sanji has literally never been drawn like that before except for a few smear frames in the anime.
Something like this would have been a lot better desu.
Are they fucking brain dead?
>Black Leg Sanji dresses in Black, mostly because of his gentleman personality and shit
>Red, Green, Yellow, and Pink named guys probably dress in Black too, despite most wanting to have fuck all to do with Sanji
Are these people honest to God retarded?
Maybe we'll get lucky and something similar to what happened with Kuma will happen to them
>Chopper is bad at facial recognition
Wow. It's almost like we learned this a decade ago or something. How strange.
Cause everyone points out the hair of every new character they meet, right?
Inb4 "le le oda cock sucker xdd"
>"he looks a lot like Sanji"
>"he doesn't act like Sanji though"
If Oda had this planned he would have made one then say "his hair is green though". Obviously Oda came up with this shit 2 days ago
>Does Oda expect us to take X seriously
I can't even take Akainu seriously with his body.
It's a series that really doesn't take itself too seriously, that's one of the best things about it.
I can't understand how after over 850 chapters people don't get this. If they'd had blond hair maybe it would feel more realistic, but that was never the point. It'd be pretty boring to have five new blond characters, giving them widely different color schemes helps differentiate each of them more, instead of them just becoming Sanji brother #1, Sanji brother #2 and Sanji brother #3.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhut up. Let me dream.
I don't see the problem
>complaining about "coolness" in the arc where this is the main antagonist
>and her color is even more ridiculous
Definitely not Momo, he can't fight without Zunisha. Every Strawhat needs to have at least some fighting ability.
Not in the manga.
Looks like shit. The only thing worse than the rainbow colors is everyone being blonde. Only Reiju should have been blonde, and even then, she would look great as any color other than Pink.
Judge and his wife son's can go fuck themselves.
Do you know who this is, Spee D. Reader?
You could at least have given me the obvious example, ie Shanks.
There are obviously canon hair colors, my question was going more as mentioning a character's hair color when introducing him.
>he doesn't have to be that strong
Yes he does. The lategame is clearly going to have all of the Strawhats and Blackbeard pirates fighting. Everyone of the crew has to be strong enough to keep up with at least a Level 6 Impel Down inmate.
Are you missing the point? I'm not saying Zoro's hair isn't green, I'm saying that characters don't go around mentioning everyone's hair just because. It's a very weird thing to do. Which is why upon seeing Yonji they wouldn't mention his hair color, instead focusing on the similarities.
But this completely went over your head.
Only need to add a yellow duck.
>muh battle shounen with epic battles
The crew doesn't have to only have strong people, they need to have strong people to fight against their enemies, but that doesn't mean that anyone who joins has to be strong. Momo joining wouldn't make the crew weaker, and it'd fit with the theme of raising the newer generation, especially since we've seen how the big pirates of last generation had partners traveling with them.
Pink makes no sense..
But oh well
Power Rangers is stupid and childish
Of course they wouldn't have mentioned his hair. He already said he wasn't Sanji so there was no point.
But that's not what you asked.
>Name one time characters have mentioned the color of someone's hair.
And then when people actually do you get defensive about it.
All you had to do to not sound retarded was say something like:
"Why would they mention his hair colour?"
"After all he already told them he wasn't Sanji when he took the hood off."
My comment wasn't meant to open up a big discussion, it's obvious a hair color has been mentioned at least once. The thing was to make that guy think about it and realize how uncommon it really is.
Answering is just trying to brag about your OP-knowledge.
That clearly doesn't have the same punch, even if it's a more correct argument. If I say it's uncommon, it doesn't mean that this time it couldn't have happened, so it doesn't say much. Saying it never happens makes the other guy think about a counterargument, and realize what I'm trying to argue by themselves.
Is Sanji Donald then? I'm ok with this.
The most funny thing there is 4th brother - Phooey Duck.
Luffy is so stupid its hilarious. hahaha, I guess he was only noticing at the curly eyebrow!
I'm not a newfag. Dressrosa just has really garbage pacing. It drags on forever and Rebecca's WAY worse of a princess than Shirahoshi. By the time I got to Doflamingo's fight I was ready for it to be over and even then the fight dragged on so long that I'd already lost interest before it was over. 4th gear is cool and all but that wasn't enough to save the fight for me.
I like it, it makes them look like sentai team
Dressrosa's pacing is the same as every other arc except Marineford saga, it's only bigger because of the amount of characters involved. Rebecca as a character is much better than Shirahoshi, she may seem worse because she actually tries to do stuff.
The fight isn't dragged except maybe a bit when Luffy is out of Haki. The rest is one of the best recent fights in One Piece.
Fishman Island was awful in every way.
>I like it, it makes them look like rangers team
>All these colors to please his underage readers
You love colorful things don't you, pissfags?
>Wonder what sanji would have been.
Is anyone else really pissed how obvious it is that Momo is going to join the straw hats?
All the Wano characters are complete and utter shit but Oda keeps trying to force them down our throats
Gear 5th plus awakening, after a long fight with a lot of supporting allies.
I expect Kaidou to give Luffy the beating of his life several times before finally getting defeated.
>Rebecca as a character is much better than Shirahoshi, she may seem worse because she actually tries to do stuff.
Shirahoshi was way more useful and relevant than Rebecca. She had a generally pretty okay character arc where she became less of "wimpyhoshi," contributed to the final battle in a meaningful way by trying to stop the Noah from crashing into the island, and is the Ancient Weapon Poseidon making her way more relevant to the overall storyline. The only truly bad thing about her was how she didn't tell anyone that Hody killed her mother.
The most useful thing Rebecca did was carry the keys to Law's handcuffs, something that any other character could have done.
>people weren't expecting Power Rangers colour scheme
>people weren't expecting that Sanji, being the only unmodified "failed" clone would also be the only one with the same hair as his father
I mean, it all makes sense, what were you expecting.
A character's worth isn't measured in how useful they are.
Shirahoshi didn't have any motivations until the end of the arc, mostly she cried about everything and couldn't do anything at all, until she revealed her powers. She was too sheltered and everything went down to the pain of her mother's loss.
Rebecca had much clearer motivations as a princess who turned into a fighter thanks to the situation she was left in and had no one to turn to with her mother dead, his father forgotten, his aunt "betraying" them and her granfather thought dead. She was left alone and throughout the arc (even if she cries a lot) she actually gets a lot of good moments. They are kind of ruined by the whining, but at least she has things going for her.
>Reiju the damsel in distress of this arc
Whelp, so much for her joining.
>tfw dellinger will never kidnap you and tie you to a bed, then ride you
>tfw dellinger will never force feed you viagra to keep you hard after you've already ejaculated 3 times inside of him
>tfw dellinger will never kiss you and whisper sweet nothings into your ear as you whimper from your sixth orgasm within an hour
>tfw dellinger will never milk you for all your worth until you've become a mindless sex toy that can't even utter a single comprehensible word
>tfw dellinger will never fuck you and your mouth like you're a living onahole
Why even live?
>people against Jinbei joining
What gives? The only reason he didn't join in FI is he would have made PH and Dressrosa much easier for the trawhats (that and the fact that he said he has to cut ties with Big Mom).
He has a deep bond with Luffy by now, Luffy loves the guy like he does Sanji/Zoro. Nami and the rest of the crew have also taken a good liking to Jinbei.
After they save Sanji and bail, Jinbei is going to sail with Luffy and friends to Wano. And no, Jinbei is not dying this arc, nobody is.
She never had a chance to begin with. Jinbe and Carrot are the only ones with any chance whatsoever at the moment.
Heh, I like Jimbe, but it feels like he'll be joining out of obligation or friendship rather than because he's got a dream urging him to travel the seas. Tho it's not that big of a issue, I suppose.
However if he joins then Oda should use that as a plot during the Reverie arc where King Neptune tries to get FI recognized as a legitimate country and the WG point out the Fishman once allied to them is sailing with the enemy.
I really like Carrot, but she has zero chance of joining. Jinbe will join for sure though.
Nobody. The crew is too large even without Jinbe.
But if I absolutely have to pick somebody, I hope it's someone we haven't seen yet. Somebody with a "Final Crewmember" vibe to them, like a former Roger Pirate, or someone connected to the Void Century somehow.
A Roger crewmember would be awful.
Following your idea I think it would be some sort of ancestral beast, something like the last creature alive from the period. Or one of the ancient weapons. That would feel like a "Final Crewmember" and tie to the final farcs to the series.
There is no need for Luffy to fight Kaido
Because Kaido will already be killed by Zoro by the time Luffy gets to Wano
They're not niggers, it's just a common hentai trope to draw males darker so that the feminine paleness of women is more visible. In Japan, paleness is feminine while dark (and not black since they don't care about them) is more masculine and rough.
Just check any doujin, when the artist wants to make a scene clearer he makes the male darker.
Do you think Fujitora will appear in Wano? I'm having a hard time thinking how he could appear without it feeling like a repeat of Dressrosa.
In fact I feel like Wano is going to be very similar to Dressrosa, except bigger. I feel like there needs to be an arc between WCI and it to pad things a bit, and not just Reverie, something with the crew.
>Do you think Fujitora will appear in Wano? I'm having a hard time thinking how he could appear without it feeling like a repeat of Dressrosa.
I'd rather see Green Bull
>I feel like there needs to be an arc between WCI and it to pad things a bit, and not just Reverie, something with the crew.
That won't happen, the rest of the crew is already on their way (and has probably already arrived) to Wano. If anything the early chapters will play out similar to Zou, with the Marimohats' exploits being shown in flashbacks
>D: Oda-sensei, out of the 5 crew members Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Nami and Sanji, what animals do you think they most resemble?
>Luffy's a monkey.
>Zoro is... a shark.
>Usopp, an armadillo.
>Nami's a cat.
>And Sanji's a duck.
>But there's one thing I AM confident about.
>I THINK CHOPPER IS A REINDEER. (DOOOON)
>Volume 20, Chapter 177, Page 26
You absolute moron.
I did not expect Sanji to cry like this. Maybe he got overwhelmed by the emotions of his past, maybe the whole situation seems hopeless to him. Maybe Oda wanted us to think of him as kind and thus gave him an emotional reaction. This arc should mean a lot more than it does. Does it connect with any of you on an emotional level? If so I would love to hear how.
Stop being a hack and make SaNa happen Oda.
Sanji cried because he lost all hope. He thought marrying pudding was the right choice to save everyone.
Reread the last chapter, speed reader
I like it, although I'm probably biased because he's my favorite character, and I'm glad he isn't just stuck in mellorine-mode anymore. Of course, I'm still waiting for him to get his big redemption moment where he kicks his family and/or Pudding's ass and maybe apologizes to Luffy and Nami. He also needs to have his ideals with women change by the end of it all.
It seems to be a thing that mythical zoans can produce something (have an additional power to normal zoans in conjunction with the myth)
>Phoenix fruit grants restoration
>Buddhu fruit produces shockwaves
>Kitsune fruit produces disguises (when a leaf/rock is placed over head), as they're mythically known to do.
I guess with the kitsune fruit though, Kitsunes are known to place the object over their head to transform them into a human as a disguise. Since Kinemon is already human it disguises him just with typical human disguises (glasses + moustache) and clothes.
Is this the first time where everybody don't agree with Oda decision?
Why doesn't Franky just build a lazer gun for Ussop?
>being the lord's son
A lot of people called Momo being some kind of royalty instead of Kin'emon's son, but I doubt someone got that his father was a Daimyo, most people thought it was the Shogun.
not this bad
i actually hope we get a hardcover deluxe version with all the chapters with colors when the series ends
This is perfection and now I'm sad
The appeal of hot siblings is that they match
Also they don't look flat-out ridiculous
This reminds me of when that glasses girl In Naruto who hung around Sasuke turned out to have red hair or something
The Vinsmokes match in their eyebrows. Having the same eyebrows and color of hair made them all too similar, different hair colors gives them more variety as a group.
>This reminds me of when that glasses girl In Naruto who hung around Sasuke turned out to have red hair or something
That made a lot of sense though, being related to the Uzumaki clan.
>Having the same eyebrows and color of hair made them all too similar, different hair colors gives them more variety as a group
I thought all the incredibly varied hairstyles was meant to be the point of differentiation.
They'd probably get a few Jump veterans and have them discuss the future of the series with Oda's editors to reach an agreement on the future of the story, then give it to a famous author.
Someone, probably one of his assistants or editors, would pick up where he left off using his notes. A series this big and profitable has got to have some sort of plan for that.
A more interesting question would be if his health gets so bad he can't continue like he used to.
Reminder that we could have had Franky as a midget.
>We could have a cool swordman Reindeer.
Don't remind me
Awesome. Great to see Sanji featured right alongside Luffy in the same position, size, etc.
I think the Vinsmokes aren't as important as Big Mam currently, and she/her family should be the cover villains but I'm not bothered in the least by the choice. Love the composition, love the colors (especially the gradient in ONE PIECE).
>I did not expect Sanji to cry like this.
Well here is one theory that might make the whole thing more interesting. You know how Sanji pretty much always goes off and acts lovestruck around beautiful girls? Well, what if this time it wasn't just his normal infatuation? Maybe he really fell i love with Pudding? I mean something has to happen right? If it is just your normal "the girl he got a crush on crushed his heart" kind of thing then there would be little to no real consequence to him overhearing her telling his sister about the plot to kill them. If it was just something like that then he could just have found out at the actual wedding and it would have had more impact. So him finding out beforehand might be because he really likes her and is planning something stupid on his own.
This volume covers part of Sanji's past and Luffy's fight with Sanji, which is one of the biggest parts of the arc so far. The last cover had been focused on Big Mom and her family, so it would have been kind of repeated, and the Pudding reveal will be in the next volume.
I never wanted to breed with anyone more than I want to with Dellinger. That perfect, curvy body. Those bountiful breasts. The child bearing hips of a literal goddess. It honestly fucking hurts knowing that I'll never mate with him, pass my genes through him, and have him birth a set of perfect offspring. I'd do fucking ANYTHING for the chance to get Dellinger pregnant. A N Y T H I N G. And the fact that I can't is quite honestly too much to fucking bear. Why would Oda create something so perfect? To fucking tantalize us? Fucking laugh in our faces?! Honestly guys, I just fucking can't anymore. Fuck.
If Oda really was aiming for that I think Judge and Sanji would have literally the same hair color, but it looks darker and more like orange. It's still an interesting idea, and we'll see with how the arc goes.
Honestly they look like random characters now whose designs could have been used for any antagonist anywhere else in the story (excluding the eyebrows). Seeing the spiral eyebrow, black clothes and blonde hair entirely drove the point home that this is Sanji's family and put a lot of weight behind that. It's also a bit retarded that for an arc so focused on genetics, Oda so willingly breaks the rules of genetics and gives them varying hair colors that don't make sense with the parents.
>inb4 genetic manipulation changed it and it does sense
why would hair color ever be correlated to supernatural powers outside of dragonball? It's stupid to think scientists would in any way influence their hair colors, so why are they all across the rainbow?
Not to mention the superhero spandex colors ruin the Nazi motif Oda was going for.
Is it me, or all of the Post TimeSkip princesses have Pink hair? Shirahoshi, Rebecca, and now Reiju. Also Momo transforms into a Pink dragon. Is Oda up to something? Is Coby a princess!?
You are completely missing the Tokustatsu vibe he was going for, which is the base for the Sora stories. Black clothes would've made no sense with their nicknames too.
The eyebrows are also a VERY big point for them to be randoms, much more important than simple hair color.
They basically just hoped "Strawhats go to a casino" would be more than enough to carry a movie. The first 30 min or so was good and only got worse as the movie went on.
The most serious of groups in One Piece always has silly characteristics. Color is way too minor to make them ridiculous, if anything you should be complaining about their gadgets and suits.
I liked seeing Lucci and Spandam again. Glad they didn't show Lucci fighting though. Good way to hide his current power level. Tesoro was a decent villain. Cliche as fuck, but still amusing. His execs were pretty stupid. I don't even fucking know how Usopp beat the woman. A fucking slot machine?
Basically, the Vinsmokes are supposed to be like Power Rangers, which is why they have color coded codenames and were chosen for children's stories (although they were the antagonists). For this to really work their outfits had to be majorly of their color, or they would look like normal uniforms.
The hair is arguable though.
best movie so far.
I liked the silver arc leading up to gold.
I liked all the characters in the movie.
The motivations for the villains, the navy, and the strawhats all seemed at least fleshed out in a way that made sense. Nami's friend being being the low point of the movie.with her double and triple cross to add tension was the worst thing about her and the movie.
Just HOW much power do Editors in Jump have? Can you imagine having the job to decide what's cool and what's not?
Also, how much of One Piece alone has been altered and changed because of some unknown entity persuading Oda to do this or that differently?
Oh yeah I completely forgot that Power Rangers was Nip in the first pace. Thanks Anon.
I still think that blond hair would have artistically looked nicer on all of them though.
It helps to think of them individually. When I first saw the picture the amount of colors overwhelmed me and made it look too cartooney and fake. But when I separate each Vinsmoke on his own instead of as a group they don't look really bad, and it also helps the Tokusatsu vibe without the need for helmets.
Of course, this is mostly rationalizing as I believe blond would've been the right choice in the end (unless Oda reveals something that makes this the right one)
One Piece is so popular that Oda might be able to do whatever he pleases now. But the editor basically helps the author have a second opinion or view on something, as it's hard to gauge what works or doesn't alone.
For the changes to Morgan you have to consider that this was one of the first characters that appeared in the manga, so he was still a novice and needed to be guided.
Well, the Supernovas have played a huge role in the story thus far
>"Oonishi: I started from the chapter where Kid, Law, and other Supernova Rookies showed up. But they weren't originally planned.
>Watanabe: What!? Really!?
>Oonishi: It was already decided that the crew will be separated at SA, but we figured that may not be enough to spice things up.
>That's when Mr Oda said "Would it be more interesting if bunch of new characters showed up?"
>Then 3 hours after that, he not only finished the designs of all of them, but had the fixed name ("name" is manga term for rough draft of the chapter) with all of them already drawn in."
From what I've read, Oda's editors don't outright give him ideas. They just tell him if something is good or bad, and to focus more/less on certain things. They don't "invent" anything, just tell him how he should handle things. That might not sound like much, but it can make a huge impact.
Fun fact, Oda's 7th editor (out of 9) was with him from December 2010 - June 2014. From the start of Fishman Island, to halfway through Dressrosa, leaving right after the birdcage activated. You know, the most commonly disliked era of the manga. I'm not saying Oda's blameless, but this just shows much an editor can impact things.
>Also, how much of One Piece alone has been altered and changed because of some unknown entity persuading Oda to do this or that differently?
I know one specific example. At first, Oda didn't want to include Senior Pink's backstory, but his 8th editor told him it was really good, so he got him to put it into the story.
>Reiju looks good but pink hair is overdone in one piece
>Ichiji looks fucking weird. His colors are boring
>Niji. I like pompadours and blue hair but a member of the main cast has a blue pompadour already
>Yonji looks good
Aside from the main story and the major plots, Oda doesn't seem to care much or sweat about the details. Wasn't there at least that one time back when some fan messaged him about the name of one of his characters and his response was basically:
"Huh? Oh, that sounds good. yeah, lets go with that".
Because he didn't really care about minor characters. So if a fan had even a passable idea that didn't change anything overall, he didn't care if it was made canon or not.
Oh yeah, minor and trivial stuff from fans/editors he'll throw in. But he tries to avoid adding in really big plot points and characters unless the idea partially came from himself.
Why should he waste time giving a fuck about the personal details of background characters? He has enough to do.
Let the fans decide their names and birthdays if they like those irrelevant individuals that much.
That's what I said. He doesn't sweat the details of shit that don't really matter as far as the important plots go or the overall stories.
I actually like the color schemes. They are cool because they are lame.
Be honest guys, do you think that even with other supernova's and shit, Luffy stands a chance against a Yonko? This early in the story, where Luffy struggled with fighting just Doflamingo, who with all his power and resources was scared shitless of Kaido?
For that matter, why are we only considering Luffy, Law, Kidd/Killer, and Zoro for the supernovas? X-Drake will likely be there, Apoo is apparantly under Kaido now, Hawkins we don't know about. Moreover, and even if it's a stretch, Capone who works under Big Mom might have to leave after he shot Pekoms (might also have a stake in beating Kaido), and Urouge's location is random so far and he's had an interesting interaction with Kaido.
All things considered, Kaido will probably involve Luffy, Law, Kidd, Zoro, Killer, Apoo, and X-Drake (maybe/maybe not Hawkins, Capone, Urouge, or Bonney). It certainly feels like taking down a Yonko and upsetting the world's balance in a major way is a job for the combined strength of the "worst generation".
I haven't read anything since Luffy was climbing the thing for like a year to fight Doflamingo.
Is it worth catching up yet?
Yeah the next two arcs (Zou, and currently Whole Cake Island that's heavily involved with Big Mom and Sanji's backstory) are pretty interesting. Oda dropped the ball with Fishman Island and Dressrosa (arguably with Punk Hazard), but recently it's been pretty good
>Rebecca as a character is much better than Shirahoshi, she may seem worse because she actually tries to do stuff.
Tries and constantly fails and is punished for doing so. Shirahoshi was saving Fishman Island by sacrificing herself, Rebecca only managed to get attacked over and over while her dad tried to keep her pure.
