Dressrosa's pacing is the same as every other arc except Marineford saga, it's only bigger because of the amount of characters involved. Rebecca as a character is much better than Shirahoshi, she may seem worse because she actually tries to do stuff.

The fight isn't dragged except maybe a bit when Luffy is out of Haki. The rest is one of the best recent fights in One Piece.

Fishman Island was awful in every way.

Shirahoshi was way more useful and relevant than Rebecca. She had a generally pretty okay character arc where she became less of "wimpyhoshi," contributed to the final battle in a meaningful way by trying to stop the Noah from crashing into the island, and is the Ancient Weapon Poseidon making her way more relevant to the overall storyline. The only truly bad thing about her was how she didn't tell anyone that Hody killed her mother.

The most useful thing Rebecca did was carry the keys to Law's handcuffs, something that any other character could have done.

A character's worth isn't measured in how useful they are.

Shirahoshi didn't have any motivations until the end of the arc, mostly she cried about everything and couldn't do anything at all, until she revealed her powers. She was too sheltered and everything went down to the pain of her mother's loss.

Rebecca had much clearer motivations as a princess who turned into a fighter thanks to the situation she was left in and had no one to turn to with her mother dead, his father forgotten, his aunt "betraying" them and her granfather thought dead. She was left alone and throughout the arc (even if she cries a lot) she actually gets a lot of good moments. They are kind of ruined by the whining, but at least she has things going for her.

What gives? The only reason he didn't join in FI is he would have made PH and Dressrosa much easier for the trawhats (that and the fact that he said he has to cut ties with Big Mom).

He has a deep bond with Luffy by now, Luffy loves the guy like he does Sanji/Zoro. Nami and the rest of the crew have also taken a good liking to Jinbei.

After they save Sanji and bail, Jinbei is going to sail with Luffy and friends to Wano. And no, Jinbei is not dying this arc, nobody is.

I like it, although I'm probably biased because he's my favorite character, and I'm glad he isn't just stuck in mellorine-mode anymore.
