If you want it to look prefect use a redrawer. If you want it to be good enough then ghost out the existing text with a 10-20% mask over them then make sure and use a white stroke around the letters.

Yeah it's fine, but use your judgement, the object is to not make it distracting. Draw the readers eye away from the old words as much as possible. Also, make your letters larger and try to use a similar font. Basically try to cover up the old wording as best as possible. Try using obelix pro for that top panel.

For filling in any little background details you cant hide with text, the Clone/Stamp tool is super useful. Definitely would recommend learning to use it. With a few minutes of work after erasing text, you can have something at least passable for a redraw.

I liked the kind of magical slice of life chapters though, nice and cute and low stakes, but still fun and exciting. Especially the loli-er versions of Kiriha. Both plot and PLOT are nice but I wouldn't complain if we got more of those earlier style shenanigans again.

I'm rereading now that we're catching up again, and damn right, that HS arc with monster of the week in retrospect does feel like a chore right now BUT on the other hand, it also serves a clear purpose.
I mean, everything seems planned from the start, there's no wasted chapter (usually). Intro chapters set up a bit of lore, explain the in-universe physics and all that shit, and we're introduced crucial characters and info right from the start. It ties nicely from the HS arc into the Mayoiga one and so on.
I wish it had been shorter, but other than making the fights shorter and throwing even more exposition (which tends to be a terrible tool in writing) I don't see how it could have been faster, or maybe instead of so many Amasogi at the start, we could have done with just one to explain the rules, one or two to introduce Sunao and the Mayoiga faction and then cut the exposition of the Mayoiga intro and do it sparingly throughout the chapters.
Then again, I'm no editor, and now that the HS dumbass friends are gone it's all super nice.

i have translated plenty of hentai doujins to spanish.
First you need the fonts.
Anime ace is the most basic.
Patch tool and Spot healing brush will be really useful for redraws.
Use the pen tool to redraw lines you need to emulate the original lines the best you can.

That's the most general stuff that i can think of.
if you have any other question i'll be glad to help although i'm an amateur.

I started scanlating almost a decade ago, even back then I got grilled when I used Anime Ace as a noob.
One criticism of Anime Ace is the way it does certain letters. The O and E are especially disliked, the A is also pretty bad imo, the B is top heavy and looks awkward. Stuff like that.
Wild Words isn't perfect, but it's miles better. Sometimes you'll find other fonts that fit better certain styles, but Wild Words is a good standard. If you can get hold of the lowercase wild words font set, you'll be enjoying it a lot.
