TINTIN NEW BEST BOY!
Previous thread of discussion. >>152426394
Now this is some character posting i can get behind
I agree, even when rape of the class fujo is involved. We are entering the silver age.
What kinda problems do you think Tintin caused?
Mirio is probably the best character addition in the last few months. Thank you Hori.
It seems like Mirio probably has a cruel side considering what Amajiki said. Maybe he's been training under this guy.
do your magic drawfags
I keep hoping there will be more to Deku then just slowly becoming accustomed to all might inherited power. It's not that it isn't strong, it's just kind of boring to know that every fight is gonna be the same, even superman had flying and lazerbeams
Whats the deal with the guy in these threads that calls Jirou or anyone that likes her a fujo and has this strange obsession with mineta/minetafags
Is this some complex inside joke Im not aware of? No one seems to acknowledge this guy.
I think his ability to come up so suddenly in people's back isnt that hard to understand. If you made your body passable to all known friction and materials, I think a strong enough jump can deliver you far enough distance, but you got to do it in a place where gravity wont hinder your speed, so a solid surface would be the most optimal place to do it.
But it is though. You only need half a braincell to realise its the same guy. And its only been happening since the poll.
He's really salty for some reason. I dont get it man, it was only a popularity poll who cares what the rankings were.
Well, considering some of A1 students have low sel-stem themselves, yeah. Jiro will probably hang herself, while Momo will an hero with a self made shotgun bullet to the head.
Grapes will choke til death with his own balls.
? What? Anon are you alright in the head?
I don't have any time to do any drawfaggotry, but my shoop skills are good enough.
What are you even talking about you retard?
Put on a pair of glasses and he'll look like Johnny Bravo.
Yeah anon im sure your post here
>Well, considering some of A1 students have low sel-stem themselves, yeah. Jiro will probably hang herself, while Momo will an hero with a self made shotgun bullet to the head.
>Grapes will choke til death with his own balls.
Was completely relevant to the post you replied to
>It seems like Mirio probably has a cruel side considering what Amajiki said. Maybe he's been training under this guy.
Yeah, if you read the tidbits between chapters were he talks about new characters he seems really attached to them. I doubt we'll see anyone (except maybe All Might) killed off for a long time.
>Not OP but still getting this buttblasted
>Shitty theory outta the ass
>Only relevant part being the 'cruel side' highlighted in the chapter itself
>Replied while making fun of characters traits
>Y-you didn't answer the right way durr hurr
Again, I understand. You're retarded.
Anon I think you have brain damage. Nothing you say makes any sense.
Speaking of Tintin. I actually liked that CG flick from back in 2011. I do however thought it had some uncanny valley problems in there. Although it was overall enjoyable, and the car chase scene was really great. Wish they try again with a new style. Like they did with The Peanuts movie.
Is this foreshadow for something? Does Kirishima knows this "Togota" guy?
Must takes a lot of concentration to maintain that while talking to people. We plainly she him spooking Izuku when he was taking out the trash. Phasing through walls, and having a conversation. Of course he is not over exerting himself in combat. And people can talk while holding their breathe. It would come out better if their were a accent when he was talking of huffing. It would also make it clear if animated, and hearing the VA talking holding his breathe.
She hasn't done anything yet, so no. Although if she turns out to be another Toga in disguise, I'm fucking done. If you;re going to add more female characters, at least let them be "real" new characters.
I'd mark out if Hadou is the traitor, and managed to use all of those unimportant trivia to create tactics against our heroes.
We don't even know her abilities. The rest of the female at least has abilities to make them interesting. As of now she is just another ditsy blonde. Just like Kemi minus the leet style, and DSLs. All her character was Toga's, and not actually her own. Even Parana-chan is more interesting because of her fan-girl tendencies, and weird quirk.
UNDER DA SEA! Actually Parana are fresh water, so never mind what I said.
This man is the cruelest.
What if the girl's quirk is getting to know antything she asks about someone, and that's why she never waits for a reply? It would be pretty deadly.
They're looking at Aizawa who was the teacher then - that kid causing trouble is why Aizawa is so quick to expel people.
and that boy was...Bakugo's mom
What if Tin Tin and Ochako
bond over their mutual need to do camvids to pay their tuition?
...Because not caring about your own teammates is a pretty strong giveaway for a traitor?
Seriously, why do people assume he'll just suddenly go full traitor mode at random moments?
a pursuing assault, he can make certain parts of his body intangible but when he doesn't have time to regulate it he would just fall through the earth, so if you make it so he doesn't have time to unfaze then he would essentially be trapped in the center of the earth
They have to be tangible to attack so you gotta basically attack them in that moment when they attack - the problem is he seems able to phase bits of himself at a time so you gotta attack the part of him that's attacking and he's really fast.
I want to respond without reading the thread like a faggot, so sorry if this was already posted. I think the drawback is that TinTin has to hold his breath for quirk to activate, like a turn on and warm up button. How this ties up with talking while intangible? I don't know. Maybe there has to be nothing in him until he can breathe out, so he has to wait for clothes to drop. But this face is the face of holding breath.
Also I don't really trust him. There is something sinister about his smiles. Both in director speech chapter (where we mistaked him for Talking hypnotiser guy), and in this one.
Also his quirk is inconvenient - no suit, so he has to be barefoot and naked all the time, probable activation drawback, relying only on physical capabilities.
his quirk isn't anything flashy. The guy makes full use of his ability by presumably doing lots of cardio to hold his breath for as long and as often as necessary while maneuvering around his opponents very quickly.
Explain further pls
Whats this elfs end game and whats his power?
What the fuck does any of this have to do with answering the rather basic question? It just seems like TinTin is a bit of a dickhead who likes to show off.
Despite calling the first years "brats", I can't help but feel that the emo kid in the corner is in reality the "nice one"
you fucking retard
you complete moron
you entire bag of fucking nimrod nincompooped brained asinine dickfuck
the point of this was to show them how becoming an interning hero is basically an entirely new plane of existence and only those that want to truly become super heroes should pursue it because the pressure it causes can cause you to crack like they mentioned right before he fought.
He only got that good because of his internship. Rather than telling them about how much you improve from the internship, he showed them the difference in experience/technique acquired from it.
I actually have to agree. The stupid "journey ahead" question thing he does in his introduction makes him look like he's trying too hard to be liked. He's an All Might wannabe.
I agree with the latter. I think Hori is trying to imply he's a glory seeker. Its literally in his name.
So next chapter is Satou, Kirishiman, Iida and Deku against the ultimate pervert.
faceplant Momo is cute
This is a pretty long thread already so sorry if someone already brought it up, but have you guys realized yet that Tintin was clearly trained by All Might?
>closest to being No.1, according to Aizawa
>was trained by "a certain someone"
>was highlighted as the previous potential successor of AM years before Deku according to the last panel of #121
His face isn't out of manga style for no reason.
Here. Sorry if everyone already figured that out.
Wait, are there actually people not putting it together?
Tintin's internship WAS WITH ALL MIGHT.
Shit happened to him, he caused some trouble, All Might took him in, turned him into basically All Might the second, with him being the one that All Might was considering for a successor, but it didn't happen.
That's what Chicken was talking about. Tintin's quirk isn't what's amazing, it's the training and skill he got from the No. 1 himself.
Deku's probably gonna end up learning shit from Tintin since All Might isn't really available for technique/sparring exercises.
It's coming across to me that TinTin is obsessed with the concept of being #1. With him pointing out that he's the main attraction of the trio and putting all focus on himself. I feel that enough is why he wouldn't be picked, as this is more Endeavors thing.
> Deku is inspired by All Might by his desire to save everybody, so mimics his behaviour in battle and helping people
> TinTin is inspired by All Might by his fame and popularity, so mimics his public personality and bravado
>Sugar Gorilla didn't get slammed in the Tin Tin assault
is he going to be relevant for once
Probably Mirio uses tactics, like
>Moves inside the ground
>came up behind long/mid rangers
>put his hands inside their head or heart and deactivate his quirk for a milisecond
>Instant take down due to shock
>Dissapear as others try to avenge them
>repeat until all was left was brawlers
You might be onto something look at his face when Deku kicks him. And this image of him exhaling
When are the lazy first years with subpar quirks that can't carry them are going to start getting physical training like Tin Tin?
I imagine things are gonna be a bit different with the chapter next week.
Like, all of the students have faced villains before,
but if you'll notice, the three from the Stain fight are either still standing or not pictured.
I feel like Deku, Iida, and Todoroki are gonna hold better against Tintin because of their full on kill or be killed villain experience.
Kirishima and Satou are gonna get knocked the fuck out though.
You are a special bunch of speed readers. It's not that he didn't get picked. All Might had not the opportunity to pick him. They don't know each other. He knew no one from UA and Nedzu proposed him to come and find a successor. Had he met Mirio he would have probably found him suitable and gave him OFA.
About the breathing thing, I think you are right, but I doubt it will ever be explained I think it's just a convenient drawback which you can give to a character with a OP power, remember pic related
If Deku, Iida and Todoroki are the only ones who can manage against this guy no one else in the class deserves the licence they got.
I know he's the best but the last page just makes everyone look so much weaker than Mirio looking so much stronger.
Bakugou has too much of a strong personality. He is literally the face of his class and the mos popular student. Had he been there, Kirishima would have not have so much lines, or perhaps he would have because he would be agreeing with his pal. Deku would have never been able to interrupt him while he's talking. He needed to be out to have a more balanced dynamic in that scenario.
>I know he's the best but the last page just makes everyone look so much weaker than Mirio looking so much stronger.
Because they are. Deku, Ida and Todoroki are much weaker. They are not going to do well or anything, they will change strategy, perform a bit better, and get rekted.
Dude, fucking everything from his mannerisms, to the scene of All Might thinking of possible successors and looking at Tintin, to the remarks about him "training with a certain someone"
all point to Tintin having done his internship and trained under All Might.
All Might probably took in Tintin under normal circumstances and trained him up to evaluate him and decide whether to give One for All to him.
Ultimately, either he decided Tintin couldn't/shouldn't have it, or Tintin turned the offer down for whatever reason.
All Might gave Deku One for All so easily because both he was reaching the end of the line and Deku had special circumstances/a time crunch.
God I hate when they introduce some OP cheat chars without even mentioning them at all in previous history
What draws retards and shitposters to these threads, anyway?
I remember when people could at least remember basic shit. But now it's as if no one's reads it anymore and chooses to instead have facts spoonfed to them?
If UA sent him a request, there's no reason he wouldn't check it out. Principal handed him a sheet of paper so at the very least he must have looked it over and rejected him. I'm not saying that they'd met, only that AM turned him down.
I don't think you get my post. He was famous even before he went to UA. He became even more famous with the festival, the Kamino thing and all. Which is why Meatball-kun wanted to kick his ass. Even Quake implied that when they met. Bakugou is the most popular 1st year student.
The only thing that makes me call his training with All Might into question is the fact that All Might is kind of a shitty teacher.
The only thing he wasn't complete shit at as an instructor was being a training coach for Midoriya, but that's just planning out a diet, and making an exercise routine, and being a bit of a meathead is what he naturally excelled at.
Tintin's technique was refined to near-bullshit levels from what we're seeing and being told by Amajiki. I have serious doubts that All Might - the same All Might that can't explain shit to his own successor, and needs constant cheat sheets and self-help books to teach an introductory class - taught Mirio to go from entry-level shitter to borderline No. 1 hero territory.
Don't try to rationalize intangibility, if you do it becomes a nearly useless power, you couldn't even stand on the ground with it, use it once and you slip in the ground unable to hold anything and just go on forever to the center of the earth.
Every author just make the limits they feel like
We saw when Nedzu requested that to All Might. All Might might have seen his file, but other than that he did nothing with him. Deku is his first apprentice. Nedzu himself know why All Might is what he is and saw these qualities in that boy, among the best students of his school.
>it's the training and skill he got from the No. 1 himself.
All Might is a shitty teacher. A really shitty one. It's a fact in universe. Stop with your bullshit.
Why are people saying Tin Tin quirk is subpar and it is all him? He is literally a logia user which can prolly only be hit by very few things, he would have lost right there if wasn't for his quirk, and no hero rely on their quirk alone. Imagine if was someone with a quirk like eraser, he would have lost right there. All might would have never put himself in that situation, this is why deku is the sucessor
>It's just a guy who can phase in and out of things
I don't understand, classics powers are nice and all but this one's boring.
But maybe it ties into the fact he's a reference to Luffy and OP's powers tend to be pretty simplistic with a lot of applications.
What happens when two people with the power to shift through matter collide?
>Popular implies people like him.
Not in this context. His classmates don't dislike him but he is disliked by many because of his words. And it's one of the reason he is so popular, along with the rest.
It seems pretty clear from the picture that All Might was called into UA and trained him for a time and found him lacking for whatever reason. He's probably trained several people.
So I've been wondering this for a while. How did Tooru pass the Initial exams to get into UA.
I'm not sure how shed' have destroyed robots nor how she'd out compete anyone (even Deku) in the quirk assessment test.
Perhaps she refracted either sunlight or light from other robots exploding, and used that to blind robots?
Also, she could probably sneak up on stationary bots and fuck with their wiring, if they don't have thermal vision.
>Fry Robot's camera with her light-refracting ability.
>Mess with Robots wires.
You don't have to destroy a robot to get the points. Just stop it from being able to move or hurt people.
Naw, he is just confident. He is humbling a bunch of first year elites who are getting to big for their britches because of a few special circumstances. Guess what, so has he, and the other 2. They are not rank the BIG 3 nation wide nothing. They are the next Generation of heroes.
This actually could be possible.
All Might is a shitty teacher in general, but his one on one with Midoriya at the start shows he has potential.
Also, remember that Tintin would have been with him at a time when All Might was more All Might.
Tintin could be an excellent student to compensate All Might's poor teaching. Tintin emulates All Might basically, so he could have simply learned through example rather than actual thoughtful lessons.
Or maybe it's a complete asspull and Tintin was trained by the mysterious #3 Hero we have never seen throughout the series.
Why do people assume she's always had the refraction move?
She's only ever used it in the license exam, literally at the same time everyone else was showing off the special moves they had been training.
I think the concentrated light refraction stuff is all new to her.
If the two phrases are connected, maybe Tintin did the same thing he's doing now (fighting because he wants to prove how much others are strong) to that kid. Tintin won and the said kid (let's call him notBakugou) got so buttblasted he turned villain. UA thought it was Tintin's fault since he "bullied" him and lectured Tintin hard
>all the speedreaders
You faggot, Tintin IS Togata.
Tintin gave up on becoming a hero and got in trouble.
Then All Might came by and beat some sense into him so hard he became All Might 2, Electric Boogaloo.
I can see where this idea is coming from but All Might isn't a very good teacher. He was a natural genius who was able to learn things easily so he's not good at helping someone who is having difficulty understanding their quirk which it seems is exactly what Tintin needed help with. I really can't see that there is anything that All Might could have done that would have helped him teach this kid how to be this skilled with his quirk. I can understand your reasoning but I'm going to be skeptical until there is further proof.
>this smiling motherfucker is going to make Bakugou look like a complete scrub
I'm hype as shit desu
If tintin interned with All Might then the timing simply doesn't add up. Internships are in the second year and AM would have been training deku at the same time. I dislike the idea of cheating.
How long until deku realises his lower half is not intangible to stop his pants falling off?
>Bakugou has too much of a strong personality. He is literally the face of his class and the mos popular student.
This is the peak of Bakufujo delusion.
>Had he been there, Kirishima would have not have so much lines, or perhaps he would have because he would be agreeing with his pal. Deku would have never been able to interrupt him while he's talking. He needed to be out to have a more balanced dynamic in that scenario.
You do realize that Bakugou was sidelined throughout the License Exam arc right?
>Pinky's starts feeling warm and wants her to stop before she melts of hole through her pants and the floor below.
Plot prevented Kacchan from being in fight. Otherwise he would have made it difficult for Mirio to shine that much.
Kacchan would have realized that Mirio needs to stop breathing to perform his quirk and then he would have created lots of smoke from his explosions, limiting Mirio. That's why he couldn't be there.
He does have a bit of an All Might look too him, Not surprising he's closest to #1.
Hope we get Amajiki next.
Seems like Deku was a piss poor choice right now.
He's done almost nothing to show that he deserves it beyond being the lead character really. Kind of wish they sort of dumped the school thing and had them do this internship a lot sooner.
Maybe make up a bunch of low level non killy cutty or HOLY SHIT ITS MOTHERFUCKING ALL FOR ONE! ERREYONE GETTING RAPED! tier badguys and disaster situations for them to take on and prove themselves.
I suspect he may be up so we have somebody to drop in a one on one fight to have the mains figure out TinTins actual weakness but still not quite beat him due to extra bullshit.
if next week we see more of Sasuke and Girl-senpai, I'll probably draw them as Archie characters. Tintin is Archie. Girl is the blond one, and Sasuke is Jughead. If not then maybe its another panel edit.
>Bakugou is going to fight Tintin by using an AoE attack until either Tintin has to exhale or Bakugou runs out of sweat
>tfw when you were afraid of Tintin before
>Now he just down right terrifies you
Please don't hurt me Tintin.
>Deku and Todoroki are about his level
Todoroki? Yes, maybe slightly stronger. Deku? No. Deku can't pull any of the shit Baku and Todo can do with their quirks. He got better with that 8% but he's not at their level at all.
>He's done almost nothing to show that he deserves it beyond being the lead character really.
You realize that only now? His nature made him a decent candidate yes, but All Might also admitted that he chose him because he had no quirks. He wanted to give someone a chance as Deku reminded him or himself. Many characters would be better OfA users than Deku. But this is a shounen when a miracle allowed a kid who had nothing to become a hero when there are talented of quirk users who would be better. All Might was special because in his era the community was full of anarchy, but it's not the case now.
oh, Sasuke could be her Veronica
I just had an idea what if he materializes thin layers of his feet to not sink in the floor.
Honestly given how AfO spoke about Best Jeanist's quirk I'd peg him being a more likely contender - both have high skill cap/steep learning curve quirks.
Nah, he just tangibles against specific things - the question is if it's full Shadowcat levels of bullshit where he can walk on the molecules of air so doesn't fall into pit traps and shit.
Tokoyami. But he is not at TodoBaku level.
Endeavor is already number 1. But he is not the kind of number 1 they need. Mirio is the best hope for the future, like all these kid players they say will be the new Ronaldo or Messi. Endeavor wants to form his son to become what he failed to be.
>Endeavor wants to form his son to become what he failed to be
a loving husband and father?
an actually decent human being?
someone who cares more about saving people than becoming the #1 hero because they've outgrown such stupid shit and have realized that the thing that really matters is the people they want to protect?
I am of course, joking I am well aware what Endeavor wanted
Reminder that Kaminari trains by plugging himself into power outlets
>he just tangibles against specific things
Fuck, this ability is solid as fuck
> the question is if it's full Shadowcat levels of bullshit where he can walk on the molecules of air so doesn't fall into pit traps and shit.
probably not, i suppose that he requires a lot of concentration to select the things that he can't phase through
Are you fucking retarded? The abilities have fucking nothing to do with each other. It's not even confirmed, nor implied, that he needs to hold his breath to use his quirk. It's just people speculating.
In any case the ""RIPOFF"" would be Froppy.
Bait so retarded it made me reply.
Why is mineta even trying, his superpower is superfucking useless, even the big hands girl is better.
So what happens if he makes himself solider while he has hsi fist or arm inside someone?
If he is able to get one of his grapes on a opponen'ts feet his mobility is gone, if he had the average human's phisical strenh he would be OP.
The problem is that nearly everyone could beat him with a sngle arm
Tintin fights only with physical attacks, right? He can't attack you whilst intangible or his fist will phase through you, so the answer is to just predict his movements and sucker punch him when he goes close.
You can probably create a bullshit explanation that says that he can run on air by making himself lighter and pushing on oxygen with his feet.
Hell you can even bullshit up some super speed by him making himself weight a few ounces while using his full power to run as fast as possible.
I would rather guess it was with unshown №3 hero. All Might, Endeavor, ?, Best Jeanist.
This whole thing shows A1 just how important getting quality internship is - you can go from mediocre with impractical quirk to so-broken-it's-unfair in just a year. Since, well, UA is a shitty college from what we have seen so far.
>Write All Might out of the story, couldn't keep dragging that weakening plot point on forever
>Oh fuck the fans really liked the super upbeat muscleman hero
>Here's another super OP Hero who has been conspicuously absent until just now
So I went back to the camp attack AGAIN. Aoyama is the traitor.
First off timetables, Hori was generous to provide them.
NORMAL BED TIME: 10 PM
REMEDIAL STUDENT BED TIME: 2 AM
Aoyama cowers and doesn't know what to do when the heroes and villains are fighting
This is in addition to him being out of his bunk at 2 AM and along with Ochako, being the only non-Remedial Students to be tired the next morning
>Why isn't Ochako suspicious then?
Don't let me started on her, but she's not the traitor. Since she's pictured asleep in the bunkbed along with Mina, we know she's asleep by 2 AM. She probably stayed up to do what she always does.
>But Denki was missing from the bunk beds too!
Denki is remedial student. Him still being up at 2 AM is fine since that's his bedtime - could have been washing his face or changing into PJs. Or since he's Denki, he didn't get all his work done in time.
>But wouldn't the students notice Aoyama's beam?
Nope. Flares, Fireworks, and bonfires were liberally used by the heroes to celebrate the night before - and you could mistake Aoyama's quirk for it since in later chapters its used as a flare. In addition to it being a quirk training camp, so late night "training" of a quirk wouldn't be too supsicious
Bunkbeds: Note no Aoyama, and note Mina's presence meaning this was shot at 2 AM at the earliest
Remedial Student bedtime vs normal bedtime
Aoyama and Ochako being tired the next morning despite having a normal bedtime.
Aaaaaand your theory is shit.
They aren't tired.
They're doing their fucking training.
Ochako get motion sick when she forces her power
Aoyama gets stomach aches when he forces his power.
>no sign of sugar boy
>"OBVIOUSLY SUGAR BOY IS THE TRAITOR!"
>Literally reminds us of the time Aoyama outright stood up to the Villain Alliance
Remember, he's the reason they saved Tokoyami, cause he lasered Mr. Compress in the face.
And Mr. Compress outright didn't understand what the laser could have been.
Hori's editor really needs to tell him it's time to let go. Mineta will never be liked by the readers and forcing it every time will just make it worse.
Because the laser isn't a quirk. It's technology.
Aoyama also has guilt and wants to sacrifice himself in the Provisional Arc
I wonder what for?
>"MY HEADCANON HAS TO BE TRUE! LOOK AT THIS ONE LINE OUT OF CONTEXT! IT PROVES IT"
Great tunnelvision faggot.
He's literally NOT EVEN TALKING TO THOSE TWO IN THAT PANEL.
He's addressing the fucking remedial students in regards to their different sleep schedules.
THEN he addresses Uraraka and Aoyama to tell them they barely made it through. They're "in the same boat" because they were basically as shit as the remedials, not that they were tired.
They aren't tired you dumbass, stomachache and wanting to puke are their quirks' downsides when used for too long, and you can see that they are in the middle of training their quirks.
Nah. I'm right. Aoyama's self sacrifice out of guilt make no sense in 108 unless he's the traitor.
He's up later than 2 AM. He's not a remedial student. The "tired" line isn't needed to establish that, Mr. "Tunnelvision"
You can argue the pointless argument as many times as you want, Aoyama is up at 2 AM. Literally canon. Explicitly so. Can't counter it, can't deny it.
Bring up the other guys who were up at that time and I'll tell you why it doesn't matter.
behind all of 1-A and side characters
>Nah. I'm right. Aoyama's self sacrifice out of guilt make no sense in 108 unless he's the traitor.
It does make sense, Aoyama wants to stand out so bad, yet he always gets ignored, that's his whole personality, he just thought that sacrificing himself in a dramatic way would give him attention, while also helping the group. Think of Karamatsu from Osomatsu-san.
He says he wants to be "like everyone else" - not "I wanted to stand out."
Being like everyone else is actually the opposite of standing out.
About is popularity, Minata ranked 18 in the first popularity pool, 17 in the english popularity pool and fucking 31 in the most recent popularity pool
He is now below every member of class 1-A, no one likes him and there must be only 3 or 4 people here trying to force him as a meme
Except he's not.
He clearly suffers from side effects of using his quirk.
And you are trying to imply that the students don't have fucking physical records about this shit?
Remember, there's a FUCKING CENSUS. If Aoyama didn't have a quirk till recently like Deku, they'd have that shit on record.
Actually fuck it, it's not wanting to stand out, look, he asks his mom and dad why he's different from everyone else
>Aoyama is up at 2 AM. Literally canon. Explicitly so. Can't counter it, can't deny it.
It's never said nor shown that he is awake, that bed could've been of however wanted to get up or pee, even Aoyama, and if not that, the panel only shows a small part of the room, Aoyama's bed could be outside the panel.
