Have you Shirobako, anon? Concept designs comes first, then vareity of facial reaction headshots, then key frames, and then to render all of that to be animated. The character designer's job isn't to do the key frame and animating, but to literally design and make sure that everything is consistent by overlooking all the staff doing key frames or in-between animations. Any good artist should be able to handle the position of character designer, who actually gets paid a lot, just under the director and their job isn't as stressful (if they're experienced and good illustrators) compared to most others staff.

That's the thing about single minded fanatical devotion to a cause. It gives amazing strength to people and allows them to achieve so much, but at the same time such incredible inspiration will often erode any common sense a person has and replace it with burning self righteous fury.
Our MC was able to turn revenge into a motivation that completely changed his life and made everyone around him see him as a new person. As a result though he's incapable of allowing any of his actions to be motivated by something other than revenge, regardless of whether or not it serves to his benefit.
Seriously though Aki is still better than the class rep, but for the main heroine to be so close to being beaten by a side character is embarrassing.

You're kinda seeing or perhaps hoping for something that isn't there. While her personality flaws are pointed out and voiced by the MC, the atmosphere and style of the writing doesn't make it serious or a thing to direct anger towards. Most of the dumping and haughtiness that she does is played off for laughs or admiration by several of the others who looks up to Aki. If I were fansubbing a short note at the top pointing out the difference between 男の子 and 男の娘 would be acceptable. But many girls around her admire her for being a brutal princess. Some guys are afraid, but it's generally not shown or dwell upon. Those boys she dumped might, at least the guy she turned down in class who wanted to get back at her did, but he's inconsequential to the overall narrative.
Aki is entirely aware that she is pushing people away and hurts then to not get hurt herself. And that is depicted in a sympathetic narrative.
