Thoughts on this new anime?
It has cute girls.
The atmosphere is chill and relaxing.
The uniforms and food porn are great.
The politics and twists are enough to keep me interested.
Jean is a pretty cool guy, but his lungs will not last.
Imouto is best girl.
I'm glad this guy turned into a weirdo stalker.
>I'm glad this guy turned into a weirdo stalker.
Both siblings have their own stalkers.
it's really good. I'm very interested in why there is a coup d'etat in their nation. i'm glad we get to see the happenings of their world with a mc who is aloof and misunderstood. the subtle nuances may not be caught on by some but it's a mature series. you might have missed that tobacco has a high tax and mc gets it for free, or that the nation is the shape of a chicken.
Does this show have any bad girls?
Comfy as fuck.
Imouto is too jewish.
Pretty good so far. But I hope that the plot getting a bit of momentum after the first 2 episodes. I don't mind to watch a slower show, but these breadcrumbs of story bother me.
>You will never nibble at his earlobe, trailing kisses down his neck and leaving hickeys just above his collarline
>You will never make his cool facade crumble and be the only one to see his blushing face
>You will never slowly undress him and cuddle under his blanket, making slow sweet love with Imouto-chan listening through the wall
>You will never help him forget the stresses of his position
and his coup d'etatby taking him in your mouth and swallowing all his love
Why even live bros
Jeanposters all belong here!
>He will never 'help' you with the problem in your pants as he shrugs off his coat and roles up his sleeves
>these breadcrumbs of story bother me
There's actually quite a bit given to you. You can see the forks in the paths that the director general can take. You also see where the head of the five officers group has chosen to recheck the angle of why the director general is doing what she is doing.
It's all necessary in order to avoid sacrificing any innocent person to gossip. So it's a tightrope of office politics. Then there are other considerations that could be possible. For example, by disgracing Jean and then pulling down the sister, the management of the giant condominium/apartment building would switch to a new family line. Perhaps there is a candidate that wants that job but is unable to get it due to its position being inherited so far.
Really enjoying it. Love the jazzy soundtrack and the MC seems cool. The setting certainly makes me interested in seeing more, and the threads not being spoiler heavy is always nice. Also god damn that OP.
Big twist near the end of the series:
The bird's not really extinct.
It's wasn't. I played the scene twice to make sure, and I know a good amount of moon. Not that to need to be fluent to hear sanjuu.
Besides, that's clearly a big plot reveal meant to contrast Jean thinking they're friends of 15 years. I'm hoping for another twist where he actually ends up helping Jean, that would be cool.
Next episode's summery is out. Faggot prince Miyano will appear.
is nothing sacred from this obnoxious faggot?
Voicing the faggy prince suits him.
And most male VA's do BL CDs; that doesn't make any anime with male voices intrinsically fujo.
what's her pen name? i need to know for reasons
This is Japanese writing so there's two explanations to claiming he's watched a guy his entire lifetime before they knew each other:
>1. Jean's family had a reputation known to Nino (owned the building, worked in ACCA/police, etc.) and upon meeting Jean in school he recognised him as 'that guy's kid'
>2. Jean's name was on exam listings and stood out to Nino for whatever reason
Failing those it could be some other nonsense like school rumours.
A few thoughts on this anime. For starters as others have stated, God Tier OP. I love the style and vibe of this show, perfect balance of comfy and intrigue so far.
My theory on what's going to happen revolves around some hints in the OP. I do think that Jean is related to the royal family somehow. Maybe not a direct prince, but a decedent of a pretender to the throne maybe? That would explain why everyone is so suspicious of him without much evidence to go on.
Now as for weather or not Jean is actually involved in plotting a coup, is still up for debate. Regardless, either Jean, Nino, Mauve, the head of the 5 chiefs, or some combination of them are up to no good.
I think it has something to do with their background, being brought up in the same circles and Jean never ever noticing Nino until they got to high school or something.
I just hope the big tweest won't have to do with Nino doing harm to the Otus family due to revenge bullshit from being ignored since they were kids, because Jean clearly thinks of him as a friend.
I wonder if there's an actual coup d'etat in the plan or if the higher ups are just paranoid and pinning stuff on Jean. Everyone outside of his office and his family seem to be out to get Jean.
Grey looks great. Dowa and Swiss looks good too.
reminds me a lot of Gangsta, at least with some of the Americanized architecture, character designs, and the carefree attitude of just about everyone. The lack of power levels and dumb fights is a great bonus though
>you might have missed that tobacco has a high tax and mc gets it for free, or that the nation is the shape of a chicken.
that's all said pretty openly. You'd have to be fucking dumb to miss any of those things
We don't know much of the country's system though, so it could mean shit. In Russia some nobles from families not directly related to the Tsar were called princes and princesses as well (actual slavic word is knyaz though) even though they weren't the Tsar's children.
Well, it all depends on whether you got to episode 2 or not. Last week everyone assumed Jean was filthy rich because he could afford fags and had his own building, but now it seems like it wasn't like that.
He said something to the effect that his family owns the building in episode one.
Incidentally, being a property manager would make him much richer than simply owning a penthouse apartment.
People who own buildings are usually multimillionaires
That said, even if they never mentioned any of those things, that wouldn't be 'subtle nuance'. That'd just be speculation and intrigue
Having watched the first episode, I don't know what the fuck it's even about, and nothing in that first episode was enticing enough to make me want to stick around and find out.
Also holy shit were MC's co-workers annoying. The fuck was that even about? It's like they were from a different show.
absolute best, GotS
Tanaka atsuko voicing her is the icing on this cake.
Mixed feelings. On one hand, it has one of the heaviest and most badly-executed expositions I have ever seen (and it continues in a similar vein in the second episode instead of dropping it like I hoped) and yet it's interesting enough to keep my attention.
I'll probably finish it, but I really don't know whether I like it or not at this point.
Patrician anime of the season.
These interpretations don't really make sense in context, though. He was bragging about Jean never being able to notice him watching. If he was just vaguely aware of his existence due to his importance or whatever, this would be a bit hollow. No reason to be proud of that.
>I'm very interested in why there is a coup d'etat in their nation
Because the king is being controlled from the shadows by the Cardinal who wants to grab power, and Lilium also wants power over all districts for himself. Jean is current king's grandson.
Does the king know about his two grandchildren? And Is the princess(Jean's mother) older or younger than the current prince's parents? Is the current prince older or younger than Jean?
I realised I fucked up the 2nd question.
If the prince is the king's son of course his parents are older and the princess(Jean's mother) is his sister. But is she older or younger?
Madhouse are working hard to deliver you Acca.
