Part I Naruto was a more interesting character than Part 2 Naruto. Part 1 Naruto had grit; Part 2 Naruto was the one who hyperventilated over Sasuke, preached on and on about peace, and let Karui beat the shit out of him. Sasuke was actually likable in Part I and functioned surprisingly well as a team player then the Kage Summit absolutely destroyed his character.

The Last was 10/10. The plot is just there so Naruto can save Hinata and they can end up together, and that's the way it's supposed to be. If you want an action plot, go watch the regular series. This one was a romance.

I honestly thought NS was going to happen for awhile. After the timeskip, we had like 100 chapters of nothing but Naruto and Sakura, and the series was starting to imply that Sakura had developed feelings for him. I think even Kishimoto was wavering at that point. But once the Pain Arc happened, NH was endgame.
