Everything about her was great (the design, the voice, etc...), but they just had to write her off into the background into non-relevance. That's the one thing I'll at least never forgive towards the EVOL writers (amongst the more severe problems with the show's latter half).

She'd only be considered a mary sue if she actually did something and stood out, which she didn't. I would argue she had it more rough than Rena who did help out the team with her powers in at least two episodes, though one of them was also a ham-fisted fight in the last episode or so.
