Mizori and Asuka drama were a drag. Only the last few episodes were good. Overall the second season just isn't worth watching.
Euphonium said everything it wanted to say in the first season. Second doesn't add much at all. You are seriously better off just watching something else entirely.

I watched the entire first season as it was airing. The hype surely built up since then. I mean people were hyped while it was airing but after that people really seem to love this show. I thought the entire first season was a boring snooze fest and didn't find anything likable about it. Characters were boring and completely forgettable (minus their somewhat appealing character design) and the story wasn't worth following as it was so boring and pointless.

The reason you find it unappealing is probably because it's written and directed like a live action drama, not an anime (because it's based on a non-light novel, inspired by the author's personal experiences in high school band). The characters aren't really "anime characters" besides their appearance. Have you ever been in a high school concert band before? This anime captures the spirit of it very well. The animation of the performances is impressive as well. The percussionists are actually shown to play their instruments like real percussionists for example. They could have just put out bullshit and a lot of people wouldn't notice, but they actually put a lot of effort into it.

But it's a drama, so you should expect drama. Some people just want everything to be comfy and they're looking in the wrong place.

What about Haruchika?

Recently finished this and was a very nice show. I have nothing to complain about but I didn't find any of the character's melodrama annoying but kind of being dragged on for a little too long. It's understandable that one has to choose between their studies or club activities but speaking from experience school and bamd activities both are very demanding. Alot happened in my personal life durring high school and I pretty much began to give up on everything so I was dropped from band because I couldn't commit. I do regret the choices I made and feel I would have been better off if I left the school band on my own terms. Though our band never got anywhere and never won any awards. We were mostly mediocre at best but I did like making music. This show made my nostalgic for those times and I miss my sax which I had to pawn due to bills piiling up. One day I will return to it and work had to be of yse at something since music is the only thing I seem to have knowledge in.
