Just use scouts to kill everything from a distance after giving them the accuracy order first.

Use the rocket dudes to kill the occasional tank and the engineers to restock them if you have to. Don't use anything else.

It was way to simple and most of the units you have are not even useful. Welkin or whatever his name was is completely useless once he gets into his shitty tank.

It's a mission that practically requires a perfect first two rounds which can be save scummed.

Basically, use the Edelweiss and your Lancers to take down all the machine guns on the side

then, all you need now is a Shocktrooper to sit at the base camp so no-one slips in and takes it, one lancer to knock down the walls, an engineer to keep the Edelweiss in one piece and a few scouts. When you blow up the radiators, with no more machine guns, the scouts can approach unchallenged. Make sure the last radiator to be destroyed is the one that's on the right hand side of the tank, so it's on the other side of where Selvaria is

It's a fun mission, really, Selvaria really punishes you leaving cover

It was fun, gameplay was hard mode compared to VC and VC3 given that you pretty much only had 5 open slots. It felt a lot like Pokemon in a way. I do like the anime cut scenes they added into it.

For people playing without spoiling themselves, that's the first mission where you get slapped on the ass. It was not hard but most haven't really figured the game out at that point so getting carved up by Selvaria laser was rough.

The only real difficult mission in my opinion was the flame tank infinite reinforcement one, which borders on BS, and that's really only difficult once mostly become of the element of surprise.

1. Grind EXP/cash on side missions if you have to.
2. Orders are broken as hell, especially ones that prevent damage, or ones like Demolition Boost that allow rifle-armed infantry to be tank murderers.
3. Get rifle grenades on your Scouts to flush people out of cover; "leapfrog" multiple scouts to murder units that just got flushed out of cover.
4. Don't underestimate the utility of your Engineers, whether it's by healing your tank/units or keeping your Snipers and Lancers at full ammo.
