Actually I think PKs are better, since they float so much, and now with lost vanbrace, Yuto has access to that rank 2. Steve and Super poly are good, but once you get past him things get easy. Phantom knights never die.
Yugo's advantage is not even just the synchro dragon, but a larger amount of extra deck monsters to summon in general. Even though Yuya uses 9 extra deck monsters, most of them are hard to summon, while Yugo can just shit all of his synchros in 2 or 3 turns.
Also, I'm not saying they need to use ALL of the cards they were shown using, but just the good ones that make a 40 card deck.

Damn, I finally finished it. I started doing a ygopro character deck tournament in the begging of the year, and finally finished it.

The 2 means that the player won 2 in a roll, counting with the first game of the match, while 1 means a match victory with a loss.

It was very boring at some points, since most character decks rely much on stalling, but it's done.
It was a fun past time.

What do you guys think?

I was using decks based on the cards they used in the anime, but the OCG/TCG version of them. No manga cards.
I tried not to use cards that weren't shown in the anime, but some characters didn't have that many cards, or basic synergy, so I added outside cards to make their decks work, like V, who has like 3 main deck cards -- I gave him Mecha Phantom Beasts. Some DM characters like Rebbeca and Ishizu, I gave them the basic staples of the time (Graceful charity, pot of greed, monster reborn), or the Barians, who I mostly gave xyz support.

Jack, Asuka, Crow, Edo and Kaito used their respective decks from their original series, and no Arc-V cards or support.

Why didn't Leo execute Yuri when he knew he was a fragment of Zarc?

Does Zarc not have any memories of Yuya,Yugo,Yuto and Yuri's? That seems rather strange considering that he took them all inside him. Yuya could see Yuto's memories, Noel could see Saya's memories and Sora could see Roxas's memories. Why is it different here?

So does this confirm that Leo is actually the final boss instead of Zarc? Reiji and Zarc are about to have their final duel and Ray isn't coming back any time soon so it looks like a Zarc VS Ray isn't happening. There's no way Reiji is going to win, but there is also no way Zarc is going to stay the way he is after the duel.

And the previous duel was canceled by Yusho, anyway.

I wish that Leo's plan was far more coherent and well-explained. I was expecting Reiji to take on Leo by himself, too frustrated at being abandoned and ignored to listen to his father's plans until he gets destroyed by his own Dark Contracts on his second turn because Leo is the master strategist. I was expecting Leo to explain to Yusho, Reiji, and Yuya exactly what his goals were, why carding Heartland was necessary, and how he's trying to recreate the perfect world where everyone can live together and be happy, and everyone who was turned into a card can come back, and he can finally have his daughter back.

"Reset" isn't the right word. Every single character has either been shafted or had everything remotely likeable about them be thrown in the gutter. The story is such a half-baked mess of contrived drivel that you have to unplug your brain if you want to appreciate it even a little. The animation is consistently the worst I've ever seen in anime. The duel writing is atrocious. There's no tension, nor an endgoal for anyone; the only thing there is to do now is to defeat Zarc, and maybe Leo. The Xyz and Fusion arcs, aside from a handful of episodes, have consisted of nothing but filler. How is any of this even defensible?

Has anyone noticed that Yugo was the only Yu that was literal nobody (no one knew him) in his dimension and never interacted with any Synchro characters?

Think about it, Yuya was well known in Standard by the end of the Miami Tourney. Yuto was well known to the Resistance, Kaito, Sayaka, Allen, and was best friends with Shun and even had a (romantic) relationship with Ruri. His ghost interacted with all of these people. Yuri was well known in Academia even by Jean; Yuri interacted with Dennis, Leo, Asuka, Edo, Sora, Barrett, and even Serena during the flashback (and ending if you count that). At the very least he met Serena.

What about Yugo? He was never known by anyone not even Jean knew who the hell he was. Yugo never interacted with Crow, Jack, Shinji, Sergey, Jean, Enjoy, the kids, Sam nor even anyone in the prison NOR underground because he was never sent there. Melissa only mentioned him when she had to when he dueled and then got disqualified. The whole time in Synchro, Yugo only interacted with the Lancers, Yuzu, and literal nobodies when he was with her. Otherwise the only Synchro people he dueled and interacted with were that one Duel Chaser and Rin. Yugo didn't even go to Gallagher's underground tourney.

Same with the Ruris. Yuzu was moderately known in Standard, Ruri was well known in Heartland, Serena was moderately known in Academia, and nobody knew who Rin was in the City and no one interacted with her.

Ono and the writers REALLY fucked this one up. Yugo and Rin might as well have been the Ritual Yu/Ruri because nobody in their own dimensions knew them nor gave a shit about them.

Nothing happened in Xyz. Nothing happened in early Fusion except them getting to Leo, which could have taken an episode. Aki, Carly and Asuka at least completed character arcs before turning into nothing and Asuka got some follow up. This entire Zarc battle is so fucking underwhelming. Zarc does nothing but sit on 7000LP with his fat dragon ass while everyone and their mother joins the duel, only to get penality'd and subsequently BTFO after a turn or two of accomplishing exactly nothing.

I don't know man, for me it is the worst season of yugioh ever. It hurts to see how they reuse characters from past series but they are not themselves, so it seems like a cheap excuse to make new art and sell old cards at the same time.
I honestly cared more about one time duel characters than the ones the story is forcing us to see.

Getting screen time doesn't mean shit if you don't do anything with it. Hayato was written out as was Misawa. They didn't take up screen time. Those are characters they cut their losses with and at least got happy sendoffs. Arc-V actually treats its characters important to the plot like shit. Arc-V has the worst handling of characters in the franchise.

What's sad is that the filler episodes are more enjoyable than this shit. I may not have seriously liked any of the filler duels, but at least they had something interesting in them, even if it was only a deck's gimmick. This, on the other hand, is literally just the series' biggest one-dimensional autist playing a helmet deck that's a hard counter to everyone other deck in the show.

Sawatari and Keikakuman are the only reason I'm not skipping the rest of this autism overload, and even then, we all know they're going to job hard just so Yuya can asspull his way back to life and EGAO Zarc.
