>Sawatari: ARE YOU READY TO BATTLE AGAINST THE NEO NEW NUEVO NOVO NEU SUPER HYPER STRONG DUELIST SAWATARI SHINGO?
>Crow internal monologue: Good, he forgot that I broke his Duel Disk because I thought that even together, we wouldn't have beaten BB, but surely we can beat Zarc! Right? R...right?
I can't tell if he's begging the people to watch the show or if he's hoping that the show gets better this year.
Supreme King Servant Dragon Clear Wing
LVL 8 DARK 2500/2000
1 DARK Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
If a Synchro Monster is Synchro Summoned to your opponent's field while you control "Supreme King Dragon Zarc", you can Special Summon this card (from your Extra Deck or Graveyard) by Tributing 2 "Supreme King Servant Dragon" monsters. (This Special Summon is treated as a Synchro Summon.) If this card is Special Summoned: You can have as many face-up monsters your opponent controls have their effects negated, and if they do, destroy them. Monsters your opponent controls cannot target face-up Synchro Monsters for attacks, except this one. Once per turn, when an attack is declared involving this card and an opponent's monster: You can target that opponent's monster; negate the attack, and if you do, destroy that target, and if you do that, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK the destroyed monster had on the field. During either player's turn: You can return this card to the Extra Deck; Special Summon 2 "Supreme King Servant Dragon" Pendulum Monsters from your Extra Deck, and if you do, the ATK of all Synchro Monsters your opponent controls become 0.
I don't think he cares much as long as he gets paid. That just looks like he's saying happy new years, yadda yadda.
>that the show gets better this year
There's not much of the show, since this will be the year of Yugioh 6. Simply being new and having at least little bit of hope of being passable is already being better.
Where is he, anyway? A bunch of the other useless characters got shown reacting.
Where's Ray? Is Dennis really double carded? Why did Crow get to come back before any of the before mentioned names?
Why does Jack duel as one of Yuya's synchro best friends when Chojiro had a lot more camaraderie with him and the lancers?
Oh yeah, I forgot you were flashbacked to this episode; twice in fact. All you have left to your name is carding Tsukikage now that Crow's back and his time being a card was ineffective. Of course we know Tsuki will be back by the end regardless, so yeah.
This, and make sure Kaito is nonexistent in said spin-off. All he'll do is try to make himself the main character.
At least 10 more. Next episode is more of the same that happened in the past 3 is extra-high-grade bullshit from Crow to ruin anything that could've been good with just Sawatari alone, and the episode after that may or not have anything interesting happen outside of Reiji actually doing something.
How good did the new movie with the original cast do (did it even release yet?). I could see them just trashing everything with this new literally whos and creating a new series being a sequel to the original one with the original cast, Like Dragon Ball did.
>It's 2017, months after the release of DSoD
>A Month since the YGO6 Annoucement.
>There are people that STILL haven't heard the news about CARD GAMES ON AIRBOARDS.
>There are people that STILL think DM Super could happen, let alone in this next season.
Ah yeah, I forgot about those. When Zexal ended they used that to release some of their leftover Zexal stuff.
Looking back, Arc-V has a LOT of cards from main characters still left unprinted, they got material for several years.
What's that twitter that confirms that cards will be printed? I really want this card to be real.
At the end of this episode? How the hell did he figure that out? All I remember is him vaguely mentioning that there was a method to revive uncarded people but that's all he knew.
Still mad, why the fucking Crow?
It would be way better if it was Dennis and Sawatari to say about the EGAO.
Fuck, this show would be great if it had anyone giving a fuck about it.
Actually I think PKs are better, since they float so much, and now with lost vanbrace, Yuto has access to that rank 2. Steve and Super poly are good, but once you get past him things get easy. Phantom knights never die.
Yugo's advantage is not even just the synchro dragon, but a larger amount of extra deck monsters to summon in general. Even though Yuya uses 9 extra deck monsters, most of them are hard to summon, while Yugo can just shit all of his synchros in 2 or 3 turns.
Also, I'm not saying they need to use ALL of the cards they were shown using, but just the good ones that make a 40 card deck.
>He doesn't use Magical Hats for Shadow Veils
It's like you hate being able to cockblock somebody for 7 attacks in a single turn.
Damn, I finally finished it. I started doing a ygopro character deck tournament in the begging of the year, and finally finished it.
The 2 means that the player won 2 in a roll, counting with the first game of the match, while 1 means a match victory with a loss.
It was very boring at some points, since most character decks rely much on stalling, but it's done.
It was a fun past time.
What do you guys think?
So were you using anime only decks with cards only used by those character be it manga or anime or were you using their archetypes with proper support from the OCG/TCG? Because that's the only way I could see Yugo's deck defeating Serena's moonlights.
I was using decks based on the cards they used in the anime, but the OCG/TCG version of them. No manga cards.
I tried not to use cards that weren't shown in the anime, but some characters didn't have that many cards, or basic synergy, so I added outside cards to make their decks work, like V, who has like 3 main deck cards -- I gave him Mecha Phantom Beasts. Some DM characters like Rebbeca and Ishizu, I gave them the basic staples of the time (Graceful charity, pot of greed, monster reborn), or the Barians, who I mostly gave xyz support.
Jack, Asuka, Crow, Edo and Kaito used their respective decks from their original series, and no Arc-V cards or support.
No wonder none of them made it past the second round. But man, you must of tried to fit all of Yuma's shit in for him to lose to Gauche, He probably only managed to barely bring out Utopia
These are the decks I made for them. Gauche's deck is pretty strong, and it's very tough to beat with brute force.
Akaba family scheming:
>Reiji: Everything is going well, until- OH SHIT, better hide
>Himika: Brainwashing, brainwashing, brainwashing <3
>Leo: Oh god I'm retarded hurr arrrf darrrf
>Reira: That glowing naked girl is pretty hot, I'll listen to her
If Leo was smart Yuri would be long dead. Better: If Leo was smart he wouldn' t have created indistructible, card game generated, solid monster with the power to destroy the world.
At this point I'd accept a shot of Meiru,Masumi,Hokuto,Yaiba,Shinji,Daemon,Tony,Gloria,Grace,Kachidoshi,Battle Beast,Shuzo,Enjoy and Yoko all ready to duel Zarc just to remind the audience that they exist. They don't have to even say anything just show them defending the defeated Lancers.
Yes, but I'm still waiting for what the new Subterror support is going to be like.
In the meantime, I'm just locking everything with
The Last Warrior from Another Planetthat isn't an helmet deck. Shit's funny.
>all this anti extra deck
>Zarc being broken against the m and cocky
>rituals could have a chance if he actually doesnt have any way to overthrow them
>rituals relevance are 0
Sure its raining.
Well at least there was some rituals appearance.
Now to see BW
Pendulumfor no reason too
Does Zarc not have any memories of Yuya,Yugo,Yuto and Yuri's? That seems rather strange considering that he took them all inside him. Yuya could see Yuto's memories, Noel could see Saya's memories and Sora could see Roxas's memories. Why is it different here?
The fragments were meant to be seperated, Zarc's personality overwrites theirs when he takes over.
He probably does have their memories but he himself dosen't care about their experiences because like Leo he feels the 4 dimensions are nothing more as playthings.
>You can return this card to the Extra Deck; Special Summon 2 "Supreme King Servant Dragon" Pendulum Monsters from your Extra Deck, and if you do, the ATK of all Synchro Monsters your opponent controls become 0.
So why did Zarc just let Clear Wing die when he could have contacted out, had a darkvrm take the hit and then pendulum summoned it back next turn?
It happens left and right, Twilight Town has most of those moment but he's to ditzy to realize what's going on.
Best Example would be When he first visit's the Data World to get to TWTNW and he recalls that it's roxas' version as he remembers destroying the Computer monitor briefly.
I've made these two decks. The left one is a more tubo-i, and the right one is to have a bit of fun.
Then what's Xion to him? Another sugar-eating tapeworm? And isn't Roxas that blonde strawberry lying on the ground somewhere near Sora?
>I, the Super Ultra Hyper Strong Duelist, Sawatari Shingo the Great, will put an end to this!
Shingo best boy
Woo, that 5D's wank. It feels like the D is litterally stroking my cock. Calling i now, Sawatari will do what he did before and lock Zarc's extra deck forcing him to use Odd Eyes. I guess Servant Venom will fuck up Leo and Reji.
Hasn't he run dry long ago back with all that milking done back in the Synchro arc?
To further elaborate Zaborg Monarch
1a. NS Edea
1b. Search Edea through rota then Normal Summon
1c. SS Edea with One For One
2. SS Eidos from deck with Edea
3. Tribute Summon Zaborg the Mega Monarch
4. Using Zaborg's effect target Zaborg
5. Send the following 8 cards from your extra deck to the graveyard
>2 Predaplant Chimera Rafflesia
>Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon
>Greedy Venom Starving Dragon
>Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon
>Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon
6. On your opponent's Standby Phase activate both Chimera Rafflesia in your graveyard and search for both Miracle Synchro Fusions from your deck
7. Summon Zarc or Naturia Exterio as needed via Miracle Synchro Fusion
Pendulum Fusion, it allows you to fusion summon using your scales. It came from the manga, which also has a Pendulum Xyz card that lets you use your scales as overlay units. I really hope that comes out along with a pendulum synchro card that lets you treat one of your scales as a tuner so you can use them to synchro summon.
Because he knew the incarnations of Zarcs were attracted to or would come into contact with the incarnations of Ray so he used Yuri to capture them for him
The only thing he didn't think about was "oh hey, what would happen if the incarnations of the devil actually got near each other?"
>tfw it should of been SoraxShun, GonxEnjoy and SawatarixDennis tag teams
>Tanner: Besides, Yugo, Yuya, Yuzu, and… What was he called again… Some other guy!
Okay that was kinda funny
>and servant negates it.
>If this card is Special Summoned: You can have as many face-up monsters your opponent controls have their effects negated, and if they do, destroy them.
Only thing that could possibly negate anything, and that happens on summon. Sure Zarc wouldn't die, but the scales would be dead, which means that Jack could've put an attack through.
>Reira: Father is trying to split the world back again…
Using the four cards that were brought back in my place…
So does this confirm that Leo is actually the final boss instead of Zarc? Reiji and Zarc are about to have their final duel and Ray isn't coming back any time soon so it looks like a Zarc VS Ray isn't happening. There's no way Reiji is going to win, but there is also no way Zarc is going to stay the way he is after the duel.
And the previous duel was canceled by Yusho, anyway.
>Leo is doing a literal "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" with the dimensions
If Leo is actually shown to still be the final villain, that makes all this Zarc shit pointless and really just something to stall for time until the real final battle against Leo comes
What the fuck
It's not like the Doctor was a major villain or anything and just a ruse to stall for time.
The only thing Arc-V has been good at is rusing people and giving them dissatisfying outcomes. And its music.
Can you image Shuzo getting sucked into Fusion, asking where his daughter is and Leo comes out saying he doesn't have a daughter and he killed her to get his own daughter back?
Or better yet, Yoko being told her cute little tomato is now a demon?
>yfw Yoko's pancakes bring Zarc to the Egao side
>that slow realization that everything that happened in Standard is completely irrelevant to the overarching plot
>mfw I realize each season of Arc-V is like a completely different series using the same cast
Lost her hubby, son and adoptive shota slave. What else would she do if not reunite Team satisf- I mean her bike gang. She is probably looting LDS card safes while everybody is caught in the commotion.
I wish Yuya and Yusho got to spend some time together before all this shit went down. I wanted to see Yuya tell his dad about his mom chasing him with a motorcycle. Yusho didn't even get any time with Yuzu to talk about how Shuzo had been doing and how he feels about his niece being targetted by a bunch of goons. I don't get it, Arc-V had a nice set up and cast yet all of it was pissed away, Can't even blame the legacy characters except Jack,Crow and Kaito, Edo and Asuka got completely railroaded. It's like somebody hit the kill switch on the show a long ass time ago as far back as when Yuya dueled Reji the second time. Wasted potential doesn't even begin to describe what happened to this show. I'm actually hoping Yusaku's show only lasts 2 years or a year and a half even if the 3 people aren't in charge anymore
I wish that Leo's plan was far more coherent and well-explained. I was expecting Reiji to take on Leo by himself, too frustrated at being abandoned and ignored to listen to his father's plans until he gets destroyed by his own Dark Contracts on his second turn because Leo is the master strategist. ("No more lies! No more manipulation, father! It ends here!") I was expecting Leo to explain to Yusho, Reiji, and Yuya exactly what his goals were, why carding Heartland was necessary, and how he's trying to recreate the perfect world where everyone can live together and be happy, and everyone who was turned into a card can come back, and he can finally have his daughter back.
I wanted Yusho and Yoko to be conflicted over having to give up Yuya, but both agree that it was the best option to bring smiles to everyone. I wanted Shuzo to be upset that Yuzu was going to be gone permanently, but be convinced it was the best choice by Yusho and Yoko. I wanted Himika to scream at Leo for everything he's done wrong, only to calm down when Reiji says that his father was right all along, because it's the most rational choice.
And then I wanted Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri to fucking lose it because everyone seems content with wiping both them and the Ruris out of existence if it means making everyone else happy.
"But isn't that what you wanted, Yuya? To bring smiles to everyone?"
That's a bit too urobutcher like for a kids show, anon. I wanted to see just how the hell Leo convinced an entire fucking academy to go commit mass murder and genocide to the point they started turning on each other, started enjoying it and people like Jean and The Doktor and Sanders raveled in their depraved ambitions. Just what did he say, how did he prove this to them? Why would somebody who clearly has honor like Barret join such a cause without clear proof? Even Edo and Asuka, two of the biggest justicefags in their original show were all on board with something that vastly goes against their characters in GX here. Neither of them could stand people who attacked those weaker than them in GX yet when PTSD-chan returns home in tears and besides herself Asuka just says "Well you don't need to feel bad, I'm sure the other duelists tried hard, too." Until that girl told her they weren't just attacking duelists. Then there's Dennis, he was selfish all the way to the end yet all of a sudden he's so remorseful he carded himself?
Not a single thing about Academia makes any sense except Serena.
>finally get caught up after being over 20 episodes behind
>mfw it goes from the drag that was xyz dimension and early fusion dimension to the hypest arc-v has ever been
I had no idea it had gotten this good again.
>Then there's Dennis, he was selfish all the way to the end yet all of a sudden he's so remorseful he carded himself?
Eh, I would've rather liked to see his reasons for sticking so strongly with Academia. You do get that he honestly loved being an entertainer and had fun with the Lancers.
Nah, bro. I'm talking about stuff being outrightly erased from the memories and past of the characters.
Example: Yuya in synchro forgot everything in it and had to re-learn it in the next two seasons in an even more forced way. Like, you saw his breakdown against Yuri? Over smile world and shit? While in synchro he actually himself admited that stuff and Jack had to make him realize his own duel and shit?
Because a series of episodes where characters join a duel, take the penalty then lose to Zarc's bullshit effects which incidentaly happen to be the respective summoning method isnt exactly entertaining.
Even the early synchro episodes were better.
Really makes me wonder how they are eventually going to defeat Zarc if he can just basicly negate everything on the field. And summon monsters with bullshiot overpowered effects.
Reiji is for some reason going to be the only person smart enough to destroy Zarc's scales because DDDs are all about cucking you out of your cards
I have no idea why Jack didn't use Tyrant's effect. Maybe going too fast has finally caught up with him.
"Reset" isn't the right word. Every single character has either been shafted or had everything remotely likeable about them be thrown in the gutter. The story is such a half-baked mess of contrived drivel that you have to unplug your brain if you want to appreciate it even a little. The animation is consistently the worst I've ever seen in anime. The duel writing is atrocious. There's no tension, nor an endgoal for anyone; the only thing there is to do now is to defeat Zarc, and maybe Leo. The Xyz and Fusion arcs, aside from a handful of episodes, have consisted of nothing but filler. How is any of this even defensible?
anyone got any ideas for how to actually get Zarc live?
I can only use the yuus and zarc's anime cards, and one copy of each dragon/astrograph.
Synchro was garbage minus only a couple friendship cup duels, fusion as a whole has been loads better.
I'm not too bothered by this scene since Yuya is fighting at this point, he's not really all there. I'm not going to say there hasn't been fucked up character development, but it's really not a first for a yugioh series.
Yeah characters like Sawatari and Gongenzaka have been shafted, but side characters usually get the shaft later in the series.
Arc-v has literally been the most consistently interesting yugioh series bar maybe Zexal II.
Yeah the filler Doctor plot was really great, along Leo's stupid actions and plans, boring duels with Ruris, Asuka not doing anything, shitty duels with Yuri (sans Yuya), and characters that have shafted dueling Zarc and doing fuck all.
>Crow is the "surprise" character
Fuck this shit. If someone from the original like Jonouchi showed up to save the day that would have fucking saved this piece of shit but why would Ono let that happen?
Are you serious? It is not hard to get Zarc out at all, let alone keeping him alive. Even though the duel should be over after you summon Zarc anyway but whatever maybe you're just a shit duelist
Run magicians. Both the dragon magicians and the regular dragons. Have Startime Magician, Astrograph, and Chronograph Magician. Skullcrobat Joker and Tune Magician. Odd-Eyes Fusion, The Pendulumgraph Spell and Traps, as well as Sky Iris. You know the deal.
I mean really anon. It's not hard at all.
This challenge was way harder than the dark magician one or the HERO one because all the good cards for zarc are IRL/manga exclusive.
Is it yours? Zexal's ending was great. Ark Cradle was decent, but I know there were a lot of people who liked it considerably more than I did, which is not the case with Arc-V. GX remained consistent throughout and therefore wasn't disappointing in the least. The only bad ending prior to this was the first anime, which is because it was a shitty adaption, and the source material was the best YGO got.
YGO is far from a high standards anime, but Arc-V doesn't even meet those standards. It is NOT the norm. It is an anomaly and you're a cancerous damage control faggot for attempting to drag down the rest of the franchise to defend it.
Has anyone noticed that Yugo was the only Yu that was literal nobody (no one knew him) in his dimension and never interacted with any Synchro characters?
Think about it, Yuya was well known in Standard by the end of the Miami Tourney. Yuto was well known to the Resistance, Kaito, Sayaka, Allen, and was best friends with Shun and even had a (romantic) relationship with Ruri. His ghost interacted with all of these people. Yuri was well known in Academia even by Jean; Yuri interacted with Dennis, Leo, Asuka, Edo, Sora, Barrett, and even Serena during the flashback (and ending if you count that). At the very least he met Serena.
What about Yugo? He was never known by anyone not even Jean knew who the hell he was. Yugo never interacted with Crow, Jack, Shinji, Sergey, Jean, Enjoy, the kids, Sam nor even anyone in the prison NOR underground because he was never sent there. Melissa only mentioned him when she had to when he dueled and then got disqualified. The whole time in Synchro, Yugo only interacted with the Lancers, Yuzu, and literal nobodies when he was with her. Otherwise the only Synchro people he dueled and interacted with were that one Duel Chaser and Rin. Yugo didn't even go to Gallagher's underground tourney.
Same with the Ruris. Yuzu was moderately known in Standard, Ruri was well known in Heartland, Serena was moderately known in Academia, and nobody knew who Rin was in the City and no one interacted with her.
Ono and the writers REALLY fucked this one up. Yugo and Rin might as well have been the Ritual Yu/Ruri because nobody in their own dimensions knew them nor gave a shit about them.
>tfw you realize that Yuto, his ghost, and Yuri (which combined had less than half of the screen time than Yugo) interacted with 10 times more people than Yugo did even with the crazy amount of screen time he got and how often he appeared in all seasons
>GX remained consistent throughout and therefore wasn't disappointing in the least.
When was the last time you watched GX? Yeah season 3 and 4 were great, but season 1 was very SoL and could turn people off while season 2 was plagued with pointless filler and should have been half the size it was. This is coming from someone who likes GX more than most of the other series.
Let's not forget 5D's either which is really just a good 70% filler and 30% shit happening.
>The only bad ending prior to this was the first anime, which is because it was a shitty adaption, and the source material was the best YGO got.
Are you a nostalgiafag? I like the original yu-gi-oh but duelist kingdom is a fucking mess and the final arc can hardly be considered yugioh at times, though it's still enjoyable. Speaking on the anime it's plagued with god awful filler.
Yeah there have been some filler duels in arc-v, but it's never gotten so bad where an entire season was just pure filler like most of the other series.
>one plot point compared to arc-v's 20
Pretty good argument. Also, it's about the final arcs as a whole, not just the literal ending. Zexal's was high par in context with the rest of the series. We haven't seen Arc-V's ending yet but it's guaranteed to be shit, even if it's exactly what people would have wanted coming out of Standard, because the show's ALREADY gone to complete shit.
>Yeah there have been some filler duels in arc-v, but it's never gotten so bad where an entire season was just pure filler like most of the other series.
Synchro was a whole arc of filler and Xyz was offensively bad and destroyed characters.
oh I don't deny that, I'm just saying that ZEXAL's ending wasn't great, as awesome as the final arc was.
fucking yuma vs shark still gives me chills.
>duel after duel, episode after episode that doesn't move the central plot forward
what exactly happened in the Xyz arc that progressed the central plot? I mean, even the synchro arc had the HITOTSU NI scene during the synchro dimension attack.
They were. They did nothing for the plot and the Friendship Cup was a waste of time. Xyz arc did nothing positive for any of the characters in the show. They are suffered from it.
Leo is a fucking dumb twat and Zarc is hard to care about. Even Reiji and Shun were better for the brief times they were playing the antagonist back in Standard.
All I ask from Yugioh 6 is less shit villains.
At the very least they introduced or expanded characters that showed up and played some kind of role in later arcs.
Compare this to shit like Crash Town that serves no fucking purpose and is just there to bring back Kiryu then never mention him again.
Crash Town did resolve and close the book on a character's arc though. What were Jack and Crow's arcs? Thanks to Yuya I have seen the value of entame so I can job to this dumb cowboy dragon?
Synchro accomplished absolutely nothing for the plot except to reintroduce characters from them in other filler episodes, and didn't even conclude properly itself.
Nothing happened in Xyz. Nothing happened in early Fusion except them getting to Leo, which could have taken an episode. Reiji and Yuya vs Leo was totally pointless because the duel got cancelled and had no consequences, and established nothing that hadn't been already in the previous exposition. Reiji vs Reira was pointless, as all it served to do was reestablish the development they had been given in Synchro after having just taken it away.
The Zarc arc is a ridiculous waste of time where characters arrive and spend an episode doing nothing, and not dying. It's all just a waste! It'd perhaps be redeemable if the characters were good, like in 135 (ONE episode), but they aren't! Arc-V has no base level of quality in any form - it is the bottom of the fucking barrel in every regard, and if you honestly enjoy it, you need to end yourself
>At the very least they introduced or expanded characters that showed up and played some kind of role in later arcs.
No they fucking didn't. Nobody from Synchro or Xyz has helped advance the plot or even gotten character arcs. They're just fluff. For all the shilling Jack and Crow do they barely even count as characters. Sawatari suddenly talking to the Crow card this episode was forced as fuck.
I feel like the original plan was to have Sawatari be friends with Crow. Which makes sense with Sawatari being the spoiled rich kid and Crow being poor all his life. Could of been good, but then they got distracted by Birdo Shilling with Crow and shun. Which the show forgot about anyway.
>at least crash town was entertaining.
Are you serious right now? Crash Town was boring as hell and dragged on for way too long. Yeah Jack and Crow are there for fanservice reasons, but shit so was Kiryu.
You're talking like fucking up characters or shafting them completely is in some way new to yugioh. Remember Aki, Carly, Asuka, Misawa, Kenzan, and probably plenty of others that aren't coming from the top of my mind?
Sorry it wasnt cant activate, but
>All monsters you control are unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters.
which makes the plays ok again.
Arc-V didn't just shaft a few characters. It shafted the whole original cast and even fucked up the cameos. Aki, Carly and Asuka at least completed character arcs before turning into nothing and Asuka got some follow up. Misawa got fucked over but got a happy ending and Kenzan was never supposed to be a big deal. All of the Yus and Ruris have shit character in Arc-V with Yugo and Rin being completely irrelevant in their own dimension. Yuto was written out extremely early only to come back randomly, Ruri was a nothing character, Yuzu was turned into a damsel, Serena was turned into a joke and Yuri's motives were terrible. Everyone knows that happened to Yuya. Not a single Arc-V character has come out for the better at this point in the show.
>duelist kingdom is a fucking mess
It's only a mess because Kaz had to make the card game an integral part of the story thanks to his editors and didn't really know what he was doing at the time because he had to come up with card game rules to fit a story he never intended to do. Storywise it's sound unless you mean the anime version which was a mess because it changed many things.
>final arc can hardly be considered yugioh
Is this bait? So to be yugioh you need card games or something? That's bullshit. It capitalizes on stuff that was foreshadowed well in advance, the themes that have stayed throughout the entire series continue to exist, and it contains all the egyptian lore/occult like elements that made the original yugioh unique. Hell the whole thing in itself is a game since it all goes back to Bakura's TRPG and games are another important part of what makes yugioh "yugioh."
>Nobody from Synchro or Xyz has helped advance the plot or even gotten character arcs. They're just fluff. For all the shilling Jack and Crow do they barely even count as characters.
>The Zarc arc is a ridiculous waste of time where characters arrive and spend an episode doing nothing, and not dying.
Clear character talk going on right here retard.
While there are characters who are shafted or not fully utilized they at least have screentime, aren't completely forgotten, or get some duels. There are characters like Misawa in the earlier series that are just completely forgotten or Hayato who was trashed completely.
>Storywise it's sound unless you mean the anime version which was a mess because it changed many things.
Yes i'm talking anime wise here, it's not fair to judge a manga quality that had more time between chapters and one person heading to an anime that releases weekly and has multiple people involved.
>Is this bait? So to be yugioh you need card games or something?
Have you been living under a fucking rock? Yes it's been that way since Battle City arc.
I like the pre duel monsters yugioh manga the best, but yes it's been a means to sell a card gamefor a while.
Sawatari's actions this episode are proof that Ono could not give less of a fuck about this show, he's just having fun with it. He got 5 episodes of his favorite archetype animated with broken ass cards that will never see release, he got his two favorite characters from 5Ds in the mix while every other cast member sucks their deck and above all else, he got to shit on GXfags by turning their character into a cuck with his ultimate monster being a 5D's reference all over. I guess he's cool with Kaito because not once did the guy lose a duel when he was on his own, Ruri just tried to murder him rather than duel him.
Hayato resolved his family problems, got a career in his dream job, and then exited the show since he had nothing more to do on the island. How is that being trashed?
What's the issue if they really couldn't think of anything meaningful to do with him? They wrote him out by letting him pack up and leave, instead of disappearing inexplicably or continuing to be a useless tagalong like the numbers club. I doubt you really care that much about koala boy.
>yes it's been a means to sell a card gamefor a while.
Maybe for the anime it has to but it doesn't apply to the manga, at least the original one which actually focused on telling a story above everything else. It also does have 2 duels as well so it hasn't completely divorced itself from the card game aspect.
An asspull of Dennis coming back would've made more sense. He is a magician after all.
This entire Zarc battle is so fucking underwhelming. Zarc does nothing but sit on 7000LP with his fat dragon ass while everyone and their mother joins the duel, only to get penality'd and subsequently BTFO after a turn or two of accomplishing exactly nothing.
This feels like fucking filler.
I don't know man, for me it is the worst season of yugioh ever. It hurts to see how they reuse characters from past series but they are not themselves, so it seems like a cheap excuse to make new art and sell old cards at the same time.
I honestly cared more about one time duel characters than the ones the story is forcing us to see.
The real answer is so that viewers don't have to sit through Zarc setting up his field again. Might have been alright if they gave him different plays and setups each time, but they weren't going to put in that kind of effort.
So the compromise is making everyone look retarded and gimping themselves while facing the biggest threat to the universe
Zarc: Come at me, new challengers!
I’ll conduct the greatest entertainment show ever by destroying the world!
If you think you can stop me, go ahead and try!
SAWATARI-SAN: Screw your “Destroy the World” nonsense!
That’s not entertainment!
Zarc: My loyal servant and bearer of the dichromatic eyes!
Reduce the enemies before you to ashes with your scorching eyes!
Yuya: Next time on Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V:
The Eyes Tainted by Darkness
The fun has just begun!
>but shit so was Kiryu.
So an arc that resolved his character is fanservice?
Or would it be better to have him not appear again.
Like, see this characters that was super close to the main characters and became an antagonist then was defeated and never heard of again even if he's alive?
It much worse.
>fat dragon ass
You're right. He needs to do something other than sit on it.
>While there are characters who are shafted or not fully utilized they at least have screentime, aren't completely forgotten, or get some duels. There are characters like Misawa in the earlier series that are just completely forgotten or Hayato who was trashed completely.
Getting screen time doesn't mean shit if you don't do anything with it. Hayato was written out as was Misawa. They didn't take up screen time. Those are characters they cut their losses with and at least got happy sendoffs. Arc-V actually treats its characters important to the plot like shit. Arc-V has the worst handling of characters in the franchise.
What's sad is that the filler episodes are more enjoyable than this shit. I may not have seriously liked any of the filler duels, but at least they had something interesting in them, even if it was only a deck's gimmick. This, on the other hand, is literally just the series' biggest one-dimensional autist playing a helmet deck that's a hard counter to everyone other deck in the show.
Sawatari and Keikakuman are the only reason I'm not skipping the rest of this autism overload, and even then, we all know they're going to job hard just so Yuya can asspull his way back to life and EGAO Zarc.
>Sawatari and Keikakuman are the only reason I'm not skipping the rest of this autism overload, and even then, we all know they're going to job hard just so Yuya can asspull his way back to life and EGAO Zarc.
I know that feel.
Reminder that the only way you can have sex with Serena is in the missionary position, while honding hands and tongue kissing for procreation and a lot of cuddling after that
>Yuya is such a bad protagonist that taking him out of the show has had no negative effects on it
>The fanbase doesn't give a shit that he's gone and no one is begging him to come back
>People are actually dreading it
>tfw standard is literally an after thought now.
Why did Synchro ruin everything?
>thinking there are people who care enough about the show
>There is a YGO ARC-V thread
>You are posting in it instead of doing something else with your life
>"thinking there are people who care enough about the show"
Good one m8
This one's actually an omelette with Tabasco. Still counts.
Full page of that.

Not sure what else more is there. I think I remember seeing one where Dennis threw a pie at Yuri or Shun, but that was about it.
>get turned into cardboard
>get turned back into fleshy thing from cardboard
>wonder why mundane things like broken bones are fixed
Seriously though, I would say that the 'card form' has your physical form stored as data/the carded guys soul 'saves' the general makeup of your physical form or dna or whatever but not how damaged it is, so you would come out like your saved form/remolded form as like a melted ice sculpture being poured back into a mold and refrozen, but crow had visible damage when he showed up, didn't he?
>Shun and Kaito literally did nothing as Zarc started with the same field and same lp before and after with 1 extra card in his hand
>Jack and Gongenzaka manage to give Zarc 1k extra lp while making Zarc use the card he drew from previous turn, Zarc's turn isn't over yet and with anime effect he can special summon 2 darkwurms back, field and number of cards in hand are the same before and after with 1k extra lp
>Dennis could've been the one dueling next to sawatari next week
holy fuck crow ruins everything. Sawatari and Dennis both use ENTAME pendulum decks which would've been perfect for next weeks duel.
>trusting Piece of Shit subs 100%
The NAC script translated that part as something like
>Please Crow, protect them
Sawatari pleading at a carded Crow still doesn't make that much sense though
FURIKITTA GENKAI WO MATA NORIKOETE
BOKU WA TSUYOKU NARU
AKIRAMETAKU WA NAI KARA
>Leo rushes his daughters resurrection and the merging of the 4 worlds
>fucks it all up and now his daughter isn't resurrecting
>the demon whose resurrection he is trying to prevent has succeeded
>wants to split up the worlds again
>is wixxos good?
First season is okay but nothing to write home about, 2nd is boring and pushes the melodrama 5x harder.
Boring as fuck and even slower than Yugioh
>be an evil villain trying to take over the world
>play a children's card game seriously
>"fuck let's redo this ok? I've got nothing man"
>hero: "nah fuck you bro"
>"BUT I GOT A BAD HAND"
>"DIRECT ATTACK! BAM I WIN BITCH"
>"fuck man this game SUCKS"
when will a final boss duel be this realistic?
NIGENAI DE KONO KIZUNA WO SHINJITE
OVERLAP has excellent animation and some of the best visual direction ever for an OP. It's definitely one of the best openings ever made, just like JoJo openings prior to DiU.
This is a gen among anime OPs and EDs. The quality is FAR beyond anything Jojo has ever produced:
Can we all agree that that is the best animated ending in YGO history?
