it's pretty common for doujin artists to make serialised manga at some point, most often they work with a writer in duo but it's not that rare to have turn into full mangaka

As far as I'm aware, almost every mangaka has made porn in their early days. It's 90% of what amateur circles produce, to my knowledge.

Now, to be fair, plenty of them don't do it under their real name.

And then we have people who go backwards, like Uziga Waita, who started making comedy manga.

It was not very good and quite divorced from the original material. He has an odd sense of humor.

Given how common it is for manga artists to make porn in their early careers, I wish it was more acceptable for them to make official lewds once they go pro. It wouldn't even need to be actual sex, just "pin-ups".

It's horrible. I just wish mame/coffee would return to the h-manga industry and draw for GfM but I guess that won't ever happen. ;_;

I'm fine with it. Lots of them do great series and, even when they don't, even considering I would prefer a nice fap to a mediocre series: I'm still happy when artists who work really hard make more money and get recognition.
