His bankai was literally Tensa Zangetsu (black sword) plus his hollow (white blade) combined into one; it couldn't possibly be more straightforward. The whole idea with the Zangetsu inside is that he's transcended the Shikai/Bankai dichotomy (like Ichibei), "The Blade is Me", ect. His shikai was meant to represent that he's stayed true to himself, and also to throw off Yhwachs prediction of the future.

The real ending is that Kazui becomes the next Yhwach
