What's the best tablet for reading manga? I can't stand doing it sitting at a computer.

ipad or you're a poorfag piece of shit
>>
Just get something cheap.
>>
>>152112686
I use an e-ink reader. You can use Kindle Comic Converter for the conversion.
>>
>>152112958
I actually have a Kindle Paperwhite. It's great for books, but the screen is too small to read manga pages properly. Scaling them down to fit its weird resolution ruins some of the details.
>>
>>152112686
The new bigger Kobo, of course, what else?

Don't listen to retards that suggest lcd screens like >>152112836

This one? Is the size good enough for manga?
>>
Kobo Aura H2O is good. e-ink is much better than a tablet.
>>
how does e-ink work with comics that has those first color pages.
>>
>>152113181
Better than everything else. If that's not enough for you then it's your choice.

Try reading shit on it at the store or on a tablet of the same dimension and decide.

Use your fucking brain.
>>
>>152113245
Who cares? 99% of the pages are b&w.
>>
>>152112686
Might as well ask this here, but what's the best manga app on iOS? I've been using Manga Reader and it's pretty good, I just want to know if there's a better one.
>>
>>152113320
MangaRock is pretty top-tier.

This isn't Reddit, champ.
Sage is not a downvote.

I find the best tablet for reading manga is just buying the manga. Plus it has the advantage of, you know, feeding the artist so they can make more.

I have the Kobo Aura One. It's the perfect size. The pages are scaled down about 10% but it still looks great. The E-ink is looks crystal clear but like I said you'll need to convert files to cbr or cbz, I use Kindle Comic Converter for that.

>>152113245
The color pages get translated into black and white by the reader. If you use a converter it does it for you. The image shows up in greyscale.
>>
>>152113526
I'm an EOP and not everything is officially released in English.
I do buy a lot of physical manga when I can.
>>
>>152113573
>you'll need to convert files to cbr or cbz,

all you need to do to convert zip into cbz or rar into cbr is to change the filetype name
>>
I just use my shitty htc phone with the mangarock app, which is the only app I've ever actually bought. Shit is pretty good for some quick reading on your couch/bed.
>>
>>152113642
Yeah but for whatever reason some of the archives I converted weren't working properly but worked after I used the converter. Plus the converter will do things like rescale the images and stitch together double spreads for you.

Tablet.
Nexus 7 still get recommended by /g/.
>>
What are your thoughts on the Samsung Tab A 10.1" for reading/watching?
I'm thinking in getting one because it's the cheapest good 10"+ tablet I could find.
>>
>>152112686
Kobo Glo HD, pop off the back panel and swap the built in 4GB class 4 microSD card for a 128GB UHS-1, then read to your heart's content on the 1080x1440 eInk screen.

Or you could go to Amazon Japan and get their special 32GB Manga Kindle Paperwhite.

If there's no difference to screen size, pass.
>>
>>152113320
see >>152113368
Works wonder.
>>
I use Tachiyomi on a Galaxy Tab S 8.4

Unlike Manga Rock there is no account and purchase bullshit, it just reads manga and is fully open source.
>>
Chink shit.

Ie. Any tablet(yes, ipads are also tablets and yes, they are also chink shit) in the market.
>>
>>152115195
>Glow
>Not aura one for that sweet sweet 1872 x 1404 7.8 inch screen

>>152115273
I read that the manga edition has software optimizations that speed shit up, though I think they are going to roll those out to every kindle eventually they haven't gotten around to it at least last I heard.
