With Saiyuki and Peacemaker Kurogane getting new anime, I'd like to take a moment for us to look back and talk about all the old shows we used to enjoy, hate, and put up with from the past. What was his name /a/? How well or poor would these shows do if they aired today? How did you put up with doujin circle passwords in moon and dig around through aarinfantasy to figure out how to get BL VNs to work on your PC?

Everyone was obsessed with this but looking back on it, it was stupid, ugly and edgy but we ate it up.

Never knew if this was canon homo or not. But it was between his brother and the megane, right?

>Saiyuki
I've had this on my backlog for a while, is it worth watching without nostalgia goggles? Is the new anime a continuation or remake?
>>
>>152105257
Based on the ongoing Blast manga. I haven't read or watched Saiyuki in years so don't know if it's a continuation or prequel or what.
>>
>>152105201
It's been ages since I read it but as far as I remember the kid's older brother treated megane like shit and megane isn't even his partner fighter, just a blank fighter he branded with his name
Now I need to check if that shit already ended or something, I forgot about it
>>
>>152105512
Apparently Loveless is still going as well as Yami no Matsuei what the fuck.

It all began with Gravitation's OVA for me. Then I started to learn Japanese and bought the original manga, that stupid. But what made really lose my shit was Ai no Kusabi.

Soubi is Seimei fighter but Ritsuka still doesn't have one. The theory's that the burned body that originally was thought to be Seimei is Ritsuka real fighter. In the newest chapters Seimei took Soubi back and Ritsuka is worried as fuck because can't cope being away from him, Soubi is in a bad shape as well but Seimei has too much influence on him and he can't come back to Ritsuka. IMO their relationship is canon but Soubi is a kid trapped in an adult's body because he never had a childhood and never been loved before and he says he won't do anything sexual to Ritsuka while he is a kid.

Junjou egoist and viewfinder when I was in high school.
and yet none of them has actually ended yet. Viewfinder is pretty much faded out of existence.

I watched Yami no Matsuei in 2006. Never thought it was gay back then.
Plot was kinda okay (not worse than Sailor Moon at least) and I loved the concept of postmortem civil service.
>>
Googled to make sure the year it was made and holly shit Sensitive Pornograph is from 2004. I remember watching it without subs right after rips were available. I'm getting old.

Oh god this was hilarious.

Is this site even still alive?
>>

My first was gag shounen-ai from a website called Temple of Trunks. It was Trunks x Goku and I didn't know what doujinshi was at the time and thought it was canon manga. Tried to tell all my friends that Goku and trunks were gay. Shameful times. I thought it was cute and wanted more. Later came ff7 doujinshi, scattered one shots and finally Gravitation.

I remember being into anime as a kid, and to help us learn how to read when I entered primary school my mom often made me read manga in the public library. I was reading CCS as it was published in my country and I already thought Sakura's brother and his friend weren't just friends, but I had no idea being gay was a thing so there's that. I also read Clamp Detective's School where it was more blatant, even for a 6 yo child. I think the actual first BL I've seen was Gravitation on TV in high school, but I don't remember it well because the episodes weren't aired in the right order iirc. I'm still into shipping dudes and occasionally reading BL and fujobait.

Nothing more cancerous than attentionwhoring women on /a/ treating /a/ like the /soc/ board.

I just bought all the YoI cards... yes, it's still alive. I visit it once a year now, at most.

This was passed around at school and we had a watch party of the OVA. I should re-read it to see if it holds up. The artstyle is ugly as fuck however.

I'm surprised a shota homo show could be mainstream.

~lest we forget~

This was literally the worst. I've put up with a lot of shit in the name of BL, but never Okane ga nai.

I used to go to a pretty good forum, it had 'hell' in the name, or something, but it had the most comprehensive yaoi manga section, when downloading it was literally the only way to read. It was black and red themed, I think... I miss it, wish I could remember the name.
>>
>>152106059
I always enjoyed because I'm bi and used to hang out with gay guys a lot since I'm 13

Wait shit really? Guess I'll try watch it then. The guy who semi-owned Jeep and fucked his sister was best boy.
>>
>>152106059
I was shocked. I never thought something like this could exist. I'm talking about explicit yaoi of course. I was reading a manga thinking it was gonna stay innocent but they suddenly jumped into a rapey steamy sex scene. I remember closing the tab and waiting a little before opening it again and keep reading.

Once upon a time, Koisuru Boukun was really popular. I learned about some genre women liked so decided to see what it was. It literally starts with rape but the rapist guy is later made into a love martyr. Idk what I feel about it. I liked the seme actually and the uke was a bit annoying but funny.

Now I look back and see how horrible it was actually. What a waste of time.

Then classic things like Sensitive Pornograph and I will never forget Aki-chan in that manga. I felt so bad for him.

Then of course Junjou Romantica. I liked Egoist pair but the rest is shit.

And then Viewfinder which is both drawn horribly bad and the plot is so ridiculous but I still fap to some scenes in it. (Namely that one threesome in an onsen with that Chinese dude.)
>>
>>152110513
We're talking about manga and anime. Not a genre you like maybe but it still is manga and anime.
>>
>>152110604
You sure are desperate to blog your life story.
>>
>>152110638
Nope, you're talking about your shitty real life, your sexual orientation, and who you hung out with.

Get the fuck out of /a/.
>>
>>152110756
I'm a good listener too anon. Tell me how you started yaoi and what you like. Maybe you'll give me some good manga name I'll want to read.
>>
>>152110782
I guess you're talking to another anon. I just said what I read.

No one cares about how you installed your shitty yaoishit VNs.

This as well. Wrapping a bell around your dick became my fetish because of this.
