Aesthetically I like GaoGaiGar, but watching it, it just felt like a kids mecha show for it's time. I know Final is something else, but like, I don't get the love.

It's kiddish at first yeah, but then it goes to G Gundam tier then to another beast in itself. If you can deal with the first half, then it gets enjoyable.
Even then it's worth it just for Final because ITS SO FUCKING GOOD.

There's also some historical context that goes with it (No real betrayals as commentary due to alot of distrust in other mech anime, pays tribute to the hyperbolic episode titles in earlier mech anime, etc).
