I always thought it was a bit of a missed opportunity that we never saw much of Suzuka & yamato interacting with Fuuka outside of chapters set in the past, where she's a kid.
Given that this is a follow-up to Suzuka, and a fair chunk of the readers would be fans of that, you'd think a lot of them'd be interested in seeing what the old protagonists were like as parents(I suspect yamato was a soft touch).
But they only show up in the present once she's already dead.
