This is the first time a set of side characters have met isn't it?

And more to that point, I can't think of many shows like this where side characters do meet. SOL side cast members tend to exist in their own independent worlds a lot of the time.

Bi-monthly chapters means six chapters a year.
Two chapters to make one episode means three episodes a year.
For a 12 episode cour, that means four year to get enough content. Add a year for production and we won't see another season for a long time.

Would it be so bad if they went anime original though? I know manga readers would bitch but is cannon really something we need to worry about in a largely plotless slice of life show? It's not like they'd go around killing off or marrying characters and I doubt Inukai would get cured so if the anime can match the tone and heart of the manga I say go for it.

Just make a lot of comfy episodes where the characters sometimes see something magical and awe inspiring that makes me remember what it's like to be a younger less cynical man who was still capable of dreaming of the unordinary and seeing magic wherever I am.
