I'm rewatching KonoSuba season 1 in preparation for season 2, only 3 more episodes left.
I don't remember Kazuma being such a snarky scumbag.
I don't remember Aqua being this annoying.
I don't remember liking Darkness this much.

It's too popular I'm afraid, and I'm not saying this to be an edgy contarian. But if the reason why they animate the first season is to promote the LN, they have already been massively successful, so any sales boost coming from the second (or third) season would be minimal. Giving them less incentive to greenlight further season (ads).

Maybe they'll adapt the spinoff in the future? I don't know.

I fear /a/ might be overhyping this, setting yourselves up for disappointment.
S1 was enjoyable but far from perfect. Wiz's introduction was handled as an afterthought. Party swap completely cut. Yunyun barely had any introduction and her design was completely changed from the LN art.
Sure, most of them were probably the result of the publisher not giving Deen enough money and time to do things properly, but we don't actually know what happened.
