Can someone explain me this,is Irisviel a servant now?
It's an alternate universe where Iri was the best homunculus or something, so summoned Artoria and they won the grail war there, but would have led to the end of the world, so there was some kind of bullshit where an Assassin Kiritsugu was summoned by the... I forget what. Grail?... to intervene.
Then Iri became a caster because reasons. I don't know.
>we could have had just a plain sequel to FSN instead of these kinds of garbage alternative universe stories
"We need to revive this dead character to milk more cash off of her popularity, so we'll make her a goddess whose dressed like a stripper"
-Someone at Type-Moon
Why would we need a sequel?
The Grail's done. It's finished. Extra finished after HA.
Making a proper sequel means either bullshitting with the kaleidoscope again like HA which would be repetitive, or picking a single ending which is something they won't do.
You guys think thats bad? If so, what was the General reaction to primate murder around here?
Kiritsugu never met Isrisviel and went on to become a Hero of Justice and signed a contract with the World becoming a Counter Guardian.
The HGW then occurs with Artoria and Heaven's Feel comes true with Angrya. Kiritsugu is summoned to fulfill his duty of stopping the madness while (You) Gudao, Mashu, and Fou become wrapped up in the events.
Despite not meeting each other for some reason Kiritsugu and Isrisviel have some lovers bond as well.
>Taking form as the Holy Grail through having bonded with it, she differs from the nature displayed by the corrupted Fuyuki Holy Grail that contains All the World's Evils within it, instead being deeply colored by the aspect of “'Irisviel von Einzbern' as a wife and a mother.” Continually protecting a lone guardian, she is "forever far yet close at hand, never distant yet always out of reach."
Basically her and Kerry's bond of love is so strong that it exists in all multiverses, or something. Which is pretty
Of all the rediculous bullshit ass-pulls and non-explanations that the Fate has accumulated with all its endless rehashes, its actually pretty minor.
Who knew she could be such a yandere, eh?
How Irisviel is a servant = She's not, we just kidnapped the real living Irisviel at the end of Fate/Zero event. She's able to fight as a servant since she's a personification of the completed holy grail. This is her in holy grail form.
That's literally how it works
We kidnap a lot of grails, at the end of HF event we'll likely kidnap Sakura as well. We've already stolen Ilya and Kuro as well.
By what cause this miracle happened? A terminal of the Holy Grail. An infant that returned to the Greater Grail turned into a Servant as its manifestation. She continues to protect a certain guardian cursed by fate that exists in a place far away.
Unlike the disposition that represents a polluted Holy Grail, the Holy Grail of Fuyuki that concealed ｢all the evils in the world｣, she is strongly endowed with the aspect of ｢Irisviel von Einzbern｣ as a wife and mother. If we were to apply it as a Divine Spirit, she is an existence furnished with an Earth Mother Deity-like disposition.
Why has she manifested? What will she perform as a Holy Grail once getting in contact with someone with the qualifications? There is still no answer for both of these enigmas.
Divine Goddess Core: C
A skill that expresses being a perfected goddess. Although her disposition is close to one, since she is not a manifestation of a proper Divine Spirit, its rank is confined to C.
Resolve of Dedication: A
Feelings towards a loved one, which won't even flinch at self-sacrifice. Applies plus modifiers in regards to the effectiveness of defense & healing-type spells, skills and items.
Song of Grail
O White Holy Grail, Sing Praises Rank: B
Connecting the Holy Grail with love and motherhood, it temporarily grants a sincere and pure prayer. Not the function as a wish-device, but simply a Noble Phantasm that her own existence sublimated.
>>He said it several times
No, that's just a meme that got out of hand, to wave away anything in the fanbase, including things that have actual explanations. Its just become another way to shitpost at this point to end all discussions.
Someone doesn't like what's being talked about, they just spam that in response.
>>archer is probably from a failed illya route
This was already deconfirmed
he's from a shittier version of Fate route, where he didn't save Saber. Of course he cares for Ilya since he spent a year or two watching after her after Fate route. Until she died a year or so after the war due to her body shutting down since this is her fate ever since she was modded. He most likely could only watch it happen slowly.
Shirou then went off to London with Rin, not as lovers though. Then he wandered off to the middle east, had many adventures, stopped a nuclear plant from exploding, and died after being blamed for something he didn't do by a former friend.
>archer is probably from a failed illya route
He was confirmed to be from a Fate route where he failed to get Saber give up her wish. The only person he vividly remembers is Saber. That scene in the opening of the game before the Prologue? It wasn't Shirou. It was from Archer's POV.
Also the Ilya that we stole was Prisma Ilya
He remembers them all, just not immediately. The summoning really did jumble his memories slightly. He remembers Rin after hearing her name its noted in his materials. He worries about Taiga in an aloof away in UBW.
>He remembers them all, just not immediately.
He remembers all through a fog. Even after he recalls his memories. That's how Nasu wrote the scripts for UBW, and why Rin couldn't recognize Fuyuki because it was like some kind of mist like and blurry faces everywhere when they shared memories. He knows who they are, but they're kind of distant.
The only scene he recalls vividly with the details and not blurry shit is his meeting with Saber.
This is EMIYA's most important memory. One guess which failed route he came from.
>tfw there exists an infinite amount of universes.
>tfw there exist a universe in which Gudao/Gudako fails to restore human history and Mashu is permakill.
GUDAO and GUDAKO CG Servant when?
Irisviel's form as the HG is literally a cup, not a hottie MILF.
Did a F/GO writer speedwatch F/Z and get Angra Mainyu using her form and memories as an avatar confused with the real thing?
Because otherwise the bit about not being corrupted makes no sense. Corrupted or not, she still becomes a cup. That is not Angra Mainyu's fault, it's how Old Man Acht designed her.
Irisviel loses prana as she obtains heroic spirit souls, then transmutates into the cup. She dies as an individual, and her soul becomes bound to the greater grail forever.
It isn't Dark Souls where absorbing larger, more powerful souls turns you into Chaoshander Giantdad and allow you to kill servants. It just weakens you then kills you. If you're Irisviel, anyway.
Then having read the LN translation, I'm even more confused if Urobuchi wrote it. It's a direct contradiction to the mechanics explained underlying her progressive weakness and collapse.
That was never explained as being due to the corruption at all -- it's the Greater Grail that is corrupted, and Iri isn't the Greater Grail.
She turns into a cup because that's how she was designed, at least in the F/Z universe. If it's that she was designed to power up and "awaken" instead, wouldn't that be wasting the mana the Greater Grail needs to provide the winning mage so they can bore a hole to the Akashic Root?
I really wanted Saber to saved her
She does, in the halls of Chaldea.
In the Material Books, she has a line for her as well. (Along with Kogil and Alexander (Young); Emiya (archer) and Emiya (assassin)
And Angelica Servant. I was disappointed when we only got a CE.
Disregarding Dark Irisviel and her elemental counterparts much?
Why does Mashu bully Serenity? Will we ever see the return of yandere trio?
I want Irisviel and Arturia to fuck.
>he's a Counter Guardian
>on the planet earth
>he does it for free
>he takes his "job" very seriously
>he does it because it is the only amount of power & control he will ever have in his pathetic inmortal life
>he deletes people he doesn't like because whenever he gets upset he has an asthma attack
>he deletes people he doesn't like because they interfere with the large backlog of little girl he still has to fail to protect
>he will never have a real job
>he will never move out of the Throne of Heroes
>he will never be at a healthy mental state
>he will never know how to feels to cook for someone again
>he will never have a girlfriend again
>he will never have any friends again
Nah, a few threads back had a lot of talking how Merlin domesticated him.
I think it's just cause most people didn't bother with/play Tsukihime so they don't know about how the original was.
If Taiga can be a servant, then everyone and their fucking grandma can be a servant.
>This was already deconfirmed
>not an ilya route
she' the kouhai character
that type appears to be cute and cuddly but is actually a possessive and clingy bitch in heat that is one bad day away from going full yandere
serenity just wants head pats
>not always summoning Killy as Archer and basically auto-winning every time there's any kind of Grail War or magical conflict
>garbage alternative universe stories
>Unironically make more money than all Fate/Shit combine
>Tsukihimeshit got thrown down to the trash so type moon can focus on this "garbage"
Nasu asked Urobuchi to write a Zero event for Grand Order.
Urobuchi, running out of ideas like usual, couldn't find anything better than take Illya's Dress of Heaven, put it on Irisviel and call her a Servant.
At the same time, he took Kiritsugu, made him a nigger with white hair and red clothes and called him a Counter Guardian, because every Guardian must have black skin, white hair and red clothes like EMIYA, right?
God, that event was so awful.
> having read the LN translation,I'm even more confused if Urobuchi wrote it
Butcher wrote the prototype of that event but he had to rewrite all of it because Nasu didn't accepted the story which was was to '''''edgy''''' and ''''brutal''''' to be a part of this mobile shitfest. The scenario had to be plain, simple, with cutsie wootsie tone, bits of fanservice and waifufagotry, on the top of that it needed a happy ending even if all of this contradicted already established lore from F/Z and F/SN and character personalities. All of that so the event like the whole game could pander to the biggest possible number of hikikomoris and fat whales who self-insert as MC and live their dreamed lives as a fake person inside of pseudohistorical harem. As a gatcha game maker you don't want them to be sad or despondent, the product has to make them happy and excited so they could continuously spend more monies on your shitty distraction device. If fate have ever had any artistic merit then grand order is a thing that completely buried it. Nasu and whole type-moon sold any remnants of their dignity for shackles covered in losers' semen and lowered fate and themselves to the level of kancolle, and idolshit, as expected from a porn making company.
I blame Nasu
>The Fate/Zero event will be fun, of course! during the planning phase a year ago, there was a character that we were writing as a surprise for players, and when I asked Urobuchi to write a story with that character as protagonist, he gladly accepted it. But during the plotting stage, even though I said, “Write something with a happy ending for once,” first he asked me, “Can’t I have this character kill this other character and end it there?” and he gave me a plot that was even darker than Fate/Zero. I said, “What kind of festival do you think we’re making here?! Gen, you should believe more in dreams, aspirations, and the bonds between people!” and had him revise the whole thing.
Was this guy a Kiritsugu ripoff?
That shit came from Nasu, like the horrible romance between her and Kiritsugu. What Butcher wrote was about Waver maturing journey which was what he gave a shit about in Fate/Zero when Nasu forced him to focus on his shitty Emiya family.
Reminder: 99% posters in this thread didn't even read F/GO. Maximum - translated parts and synopsis.
Kiritsugu Emiya (Assassin) is by Nasu, as is Irisviel (Dress of Heaven). It's in mats. He's always the hack about them and true love. He's the one who forced Butcher to remove Waver scenes from FZ because he was too "protagonist-like."
Butcher handled Waver's story which was the best thing to come out the events which were always shit tier. You've to be stupid to dislike FZ event because of Nasu's meddling nonsense, when it had a solid story of character development and fulfillment.
Knight and princess
Short and tall
Oneesan and milf
Green and red
They're two great tastes that taste great together.
> direct sequel
> to a vn with 6 different endings
you got f/ha, which was basically ended with Nasu telling you to stop obsessing over f/sn, go outside and get on with your shitty life
>these kinds of garbage alternative universe stories
i do not give a shit about a single one of these. and i hate it when companies do this. same with muv luv.
i don't care if it has "muvluv" or "fate" in its title, i just want to know more about what happens to the characters in the original title.
alternate timelines especially is the WORST. fuck this shit.
-Shirou is a Servant
-Rin is a Servant
-Taiga is a Servant
-Illya is a Servant
-Kerry is a Servant
-Irisviel is a Servant
-Waver is a Servant
Who isn't a Servant at this point? I don't think Kirei is one yet right?
Turn around, start running and never look back.
You get a strong servant for free when you begin (I got Erzebet Bathory as an annoying teenage idol), 10 free gacha rolls every day (they will always be shit but you can find more servants) and a support slot where you can get someone's overpowered p2w waifu to wipe the floor with your enemies.
You pretty much know what happens to them after any given ending.
Shirou reaches Avalon through a MIRACLE of LOVE in Fate.
UBW anime covers the only ending with real uncertainty, UBW.
HF has them living happily ever after with Shirou inhabiting his new Aozaki Touko brand body.
Side stories allow them to expand on characters whose existences were ephemeral in the first place (Heroic Spirits) or are decidedly killed to death (Ilyasviel).
What you should want is something entirely new, something that isn't milking Fate and exists in the same continuity featuring brand new characters dealing with a new sort of crises within the expansive bounds of the Nasuverse.
no, what i want is something like mahoyo or fate zero. where we focus on the past or future of characters in the main series. even if it's side characters.
what i don't want is a repeat of the [holy grail war] formula, with more hero inserts.
what i don't want are alternative timelines that are inconsequential to the original story.
if i just wanted more worldbuilding, i could go read some extra material books or something.
that being said, i'm being judgy here since i haven't played any of other games, not even fate/extra.
>what i want is something like mahoyo or fate zero
kinda what he said
> not even fate/extra.
fate/extra is "a repeat of the [holy grail war] formula, with more hero inserts.", for your information, with main difference being that it's set as a tournament instead of as a battle royale
but that doesn't account anything lorewise, you still can summon only historical figures as servants the exception being counter guardians.
It's just the nature of the game is that way, there are many things in the game like that, like they're ignoring the status list and thus a simple Roman soldier can kill a servant.
>what i don't want are alternative timelines that are inconsequential to the original story.
Alright good, because FGO is more important than FSN. It's the 'core' of the franchise and the only route of FSN which has some weight is Fate.
That final outfit is really good.
So when is Nasu going to shill Artoria and Gil again? Because Solomon has left them in the dust as rulers and iconic importance to the whole world of Fate. Extella in general also sidelines them.
FGO burned all history, this destroyed FSN timeline too. That's what you get with someone fucking with time locked foundation places (the divergence in timeline are up to a point: there are events that must always happen, if these are destroyed, then all human order is put in jeopardy). Waver, etc is from there. Merlin set Fou loose after Fate route happened, so Fate route is directly connected to FGO.
FGO is a story that explains where Heroic Spirits come from in the first place, and the origin of magecraft, miracles, and the end of the Age of Gods, Mystery and the beginning of the Age of Men. Garden of Avalon, a LN with Artoria's backstory, also foreshadows it.
There is no Holy Grail War formula in FGO besides Fuyuki. There is a Grail and Heroic spirits, but it's basically singularities of those important foundation places that emerge with Servants of ages as helpers or antagonists in helping the protagonist group to fix shit.
>past or future of characters in the main series
FSN plotline is already finished, why would you want to have another story with the same characters? The thing about the Nasuverse is that you can have a lot more of wars fighted by other masters/servants
I think that you have a missconception of what Nasu wants with Fate
Now for all the problems I have with Zero, this is one thing Uro did right. No shounen tier plot twists where everyone always have the unique perfect counter to the enemy's unavoidable overpowered ability
> it's a reality bending attack that reverses the rules of cause and effect and strikes the heart with certainty
> unless you have, like, B luck, then it's just a pointy stick
i almost miss Nasu's chuuni wankery
It's over, they don't need masters anymore. FGO was fine since it's really hard to make this big crossover of all Fate stuff. But new extella showed that only servants that suck your dicks are actually metters.
Why else would she let Merlin parade her around britain dressed like a magical girl.
And now, we enter UN/Mage association butting into Chaldea's operations.
But Epic of remnant huh?
Rayshift into the future? Maybe.
too bad, Saber fell in love with a Shirou instead. That Lion Doll she has in Chaldeas is proof.
Still, I wonder when Saber becomes relevant again. Like an actual character in the story, not just mentioned or something. (Outside of her Archer Form)
You can't dodge normal Gae Bolg, it still pierces you. Luck just prevents your heart from being pierced.
If the heart was actually pierced by Gae Bolg, it would explode into thousands of thorns to basically destroy the body.
No, I meant Idealism Saber, not Realist Arthuria.
Though I do wish she pops in too.
The Mage Association and the UN gave permission to Chaldea to perform their investigations in the first place. Now history has been restored and humans are back, there's the problem a whole year and five months have been missing. So the Mage Association is freaking out and is now investigating Chaldea.
Epic of Remnants is supposed to be a mystery/puzzle solving adventure before Part 2 begins. Something part 1.5. The theme has moved out the Age of Gods because Solomon KO for good which was something addressed already in Garden of Avalon.
>Still, I wonder when Saber becomes relevant again.
There's still Grand Saber. But while she was one of my favorites in FSN, I think her story ended. There's little else left to explore of her. Her Lancer versions are ok because they are new.
> it's a curse that inverts the laws of cause and effect by writing the spear hitting the enemy's heart on his destiny and having the spear be thrust as an effect
> unless he has B luck, in which case it still fucks up destiny and casuality but just hits you in the wherever
that makes even less sense, you'd think that where the spear hits would be a breeze to pull off compared to reversing cause and effect
Don't worry, Nasu now ships Seibah and Emiya so he can give her dickings to forget Merlin :^)
>tfw other pairing that is starting to become popular is GudakoxKingHassan
Gudako pleases old assassins for quartz
Merlin, I mean, Mari gets pissed at Roman when he talks too much about (you).
Gudako can be shipped with anyone.
But she has good taste in kings for choosing Hassan.
Correct. He should be shipped with Olga's father.
this needs the carnival phantasm treatment
Chaldea sol has a pretty high comedy potential due to the sheer outlandishness of its possible inhabitants
She's voiced by Seiba's VA.
Yes, that's the pairing with -basis- and the fanbase's choice when he was just Doctor Roman. After Merlin's appearance and Roman's 'secret' as Solomon, now fujos and gayfags want him with Merlin, Guda, Mauricebilly, Goetia or Gil (mostly Roman appearance) while otomefags are into GudakoxSolomon. Poor Da Vinci got brushed aside.
We're getting close already.
Isn't it Maurice William?
But Roman x Da Vinci was already gay, why don't the fujos like it?
Does Nasu need to introduce an additional third bishonen Da Vinci form in addition to his old man and Mona Lisa appearances to appeal to them?
I'm giving the fujos some leeway because mostly they picked Roman's design, and by having the sense to include Olga's father who was the only one, other than Da Vinci, Roman trusted. While shoujofags with Gudako go for Solomon's design mostly which seems more like they latched because of tall, white-haired pretty boy.
We don't know how is spelled. Nasu can be autistic with english names too.
Goetia in his King of Humans form.
Roman viewed (you) as his heir of sorts. It's retarded to ship him with Guda when he obviously had fatherly feelings. Olga's daddy was his Shirou so at least that would make more sense.
Lion King x Agravain is pretty popular (Lion King is Camelot Singularity Arturia, not the boring summable Lancer).
>or picking a single ending which is something they won't do.
Ywn see Shirou's adventures in the clockTower with Waver sensei and Luvia using her position as his employer to make Rin jelly.
But also, her fur cloak is white and her eyes are like lime green and glowy.
One's a divine spirit who lost her humanity, white cloak, light green glowy eyes. (More like yellow tinted eyes)
Search tags are usually Lion King, Goddess Rho, or among other things.
The other's a semi-divine spirit, but still kept her humanity. Green eyes, red coat.
wish we had this.
If you wanna be technical, it's the brown skinned silver haired guy who has a redhead alter ego this time.
Only know of this one.
>wish we had this.
It's better we don't or she'll be ruined by waifu pandering fanservice. Agravain saw Arthur as a god, so is fitting he gets the special attention of the goddess version.
Most of the fanart is the Lion topping the shit out of him.
Stupid fanservice garbage like most of Grand Order cancer.
The feelings don't just fade away. The Greater Grail is made from the template from which Iri is made from, so making a Servant container, shape it along the template and stuff it with the mind & soul of Iri (that is, as you yourself said, bound to the Grail) is not really that far-fetched.
She's described as a terminal to the Grail, which is a similar wording to how Arc is a terminal to the World or Acht a terminal to Jubstacheit (aka the castle). Think of it less as Iri being an independent being and more like the Grail (or a part of the grail) made an avatar for itself.
T H I S
Anon fucking nailed it. This shit is what's wrong with new Type-Moon. At least FSF is a loose sequel since it actually happes chronolically after one of the routes.
Lion King, actually held camelot for a long time, and making it prosperous. Even to the point that she had all the Knights under her command, including those who would've betrayed her.
She's a bit colder, since she's a realist.
The summonable one is, sort of moe once you take her armor off.
"Master, please dont stare at my boobs."
also, her bond level 5
"Now, my holy lance is freed. I can show you its true power from now on. My chest has also been freed? ...Master, what are you saying?"
Lancer Arturia is your standard underdeveloped waifubait who will like (you) and has really no substantial part in the story.
Lion-King is the antagonist in Camelot and wants to pull a Dust of Osiris plot to make humans survive as records. She has a really touching backstory, as result of Bedivere fucked up, was consumed by the spear that destroyed her feelings and human empathy but tries to do what she thinks is right. Summons the knights to carry on. Lion King comes from her "culling the weak" approach of things. She gets her feelings returned in the end when Bedivere gives her back Excalibur and thanks Bedi as he dies (plus plays a hand to preserve his corroded soul). She chooses to give advice but doesn't join you, instead while the Singularity collapses, she awaits for Agravain in her throne room. Last scene is between them, as she comforts him while he dies in her arms from the injuries Lancelot gave her. Agravain, who was suspected as traitor and spy of his Mother by most of the knights, confesses his only wish was to make a kingdom worthy of her. In general, she has a characterization and a character arc that isn't she falls for (you).
>what i don't want are alternative timelines that are inconsequential to the original story.
That could describe everything from KnK to FGO. They're all self-contained stories set in alternate timelines. Some characters are shared, yes, but that's obviously not the focus.
The only exceptions have been the FZ/FSN/FHA line and the Fate/Ex line.
Olga of Kiev caster\avenger
Peter the Great rider
Dmitriy of the Don rider
Aleksander Nevsky saber\rider
STILL no Ivan the terrible
No Kutuzov (where the fuck is Napoleon btw)
No motherfucking Koschei as saber\caster\rider
And that is not counting minor bogatyrs and spiritual\nechist fuckers.
Where are slav servants at?
A Servant is not a HS. Most servants are made FROM HSs, but from the very beginning with FSN you had exceptions (Artoria & Kojirou).
Sometimes you can use other beings as templates. All you need is a soul. Gods, people, aggregation of curses, so long as they're bound to an identity and capable of manifesting a consciousness it's all good.
And waifus who are dead in Fate go to Tsukihime world.
When are Arthur and Proto Gil going to show up in Grand Order?
No. Lancer Arturia is an Arturia who bonded with Rhon and grew up more realistic, didn't have regrets when she died and became a semi divine spirit.
Lion King's background is actually like Saber Arturia, she didn't age, chose Excalibur, etc. The difference is that Bedivere didn't return the sword the three times she asked. At the third time, when he went back, Arturia was no longer there. She was taken by the spear that didn't let her die, so she became a goddess who stayed alive for over a thousand of years, in the meantime, part of her memories and all her human heart was lost (she also aged). She changed into a full goddess and became the guardian of the end of the world tower. She appears in the Singularity because she decided to go there. There she summoned her knights.
>Last scene is between them, as she comforts him while he dies in her arms from the injuries Lancelot gave her. Agravain, who was suspected as traitor and spy of his Mother by most of the knights, confesses his only wish was to make a kingdom worthy of her.
Agravain stomps into the room, leaving a river of blood behind him and missing (I think) an eye and an arm. He tells her that he dealt with Lancelot and will quickly work to restore the kingdom to full strength following the rebellion.
When you're reading it it's kind of clear that he's so out of it from drugs and bloodloss that the things he's ranting about doing make no sense; reconstituting the guard, organizing things in her honor, all while the actual plan for Camelot is a record of humanity that will, in their best case scenario, have vanished from the world before the week was out. He still lists them as if he seriously intends to do them as soon as possible with no regards for his blatantly lethal injuries.
What at that point is Arturia again calmly orders him to have a rest instead. She remarks fondly that he always worked too hard to his own detriment. he relaxes and collapses into her bosom.
Illyaverse world was burned down. It's in the magical girl collab. And the scenes we see in the manga are previous to 2016, anyway.
Time was restored along with history thanks to Solomon.
You have no idea what a singularity is, it seems.
Nasu said KnK world was DESTROYED. This is the reason why Ryougi fights with (you) because she wants to save her loved ones. Waver knows his timeline (which is FSN AND FZ) was destroyed too. You're stupid if you think this is self contained when has all the fucking backstory of how the Ages of God-Mystery-Men came to be in ALL timelines.
It's not self-contained - UBW is self contained for example, because it affects absolutely *nothing*. If you actually read the story you'll know. That's why Nasu says FGO is the core of Fate/ universe.
What Solomon did affect all the Fate universe because it was basically the fucking mystery that was hinted in GoA and Fate franchise: how the fuck did the Age of Men came to be and what role Solomon played? Why did magic and magecraft wane? Why is science catching up? We knew this was happening but we didn't know why.
>her world got burned by Solomon
Goetia nigga. Stop slandering Solomon.
She basically went to Camelot Singularity, killed the asshole who was fucking up with the singularity, by herself.
So now, she exists outside of the throne of heroes, awaiting her next chance to protect the world?
With Excalibur on hand too.
And an army of genderbent Shirous.
They were all destroyed. Characters from those timelines will remember this and have issued the grand order of protection of the human history and age of men by Solomon. Other Beasts are going to appear, while we don't know if they'll be as dangerous and accomplished as Goetia, they all threaten the Human Order.
Plus their worlds -all- lost a year and five months since it began. They aren't going to carry on as usual. Their Masquerade has fallen. And parallel timelines are still affecting. Mushashi comes from a parallel worldline, for example, and this is gonna keep going on 1.5. Nasu expressed his wish for FGO to be the compendium of Fate to end all Fate. Other continuities bent to fit it.
Like I said, it's not like UBW which doesn't even matter outside of a character study. This is impacting to other places big. Melty Blood manaka was forced to make his manga an AU spinoff to FGO by Type Moon, Sakurai and Narita were postponing their Fate novels until part 1 finished. FGO has the hierarchy over other Fate works and over other Type Moon ones as you can see how they changed the poor MB mangaka plot to explain the Lev-Flauros thing.
Yes, that's Lancer Arturia. You can notice too because she's draw by waifufags without class.
Dont have a lot of Lion King pics.
But seriously, we need more Lion King events. Dont mind if we dont get her, i just hope she rampages somewhere.
Dual wielding Excalibur and Rho.
That'd be a sight.
That just means it's answering questions posed in other works, but it's not changing or invalidating the events of other works.
What kooky-ass definition of "self-contained" are you using.
Oh boy, you didn't read the ending of FGO. The worlds lost a year and five months of history. It's Nasu's end game plan so normies realize magic is real. It was an universal game changer.
The people one day went to bed on july 2015 and suddenly they were on 2016 December. Do you think it's not going to be a big deal everywhere? Each writer is going to handle the fallout eventually. Except those who set their works previous to 2015.
They haven't gone back and added footnotes to, say, Fate/Extra going "btw there was this weird year where literally nothing happened that was odd".
Literally not true. Nobody has stopped anything. Not Case Files, not Strange Fake, not Extella, and the others are already over and done with.
> most important nasuverse story since fate is told in tidbits separated by hours of grind and filler in a mobage
that is sad
also i wonder why he went out of his way to fuck with other spin offs, the mobage was already popular enough, it didn't need the publicity
>Wake up a year and a half later.
I'd be fucking done with magic and it's bullshit at that point.
If that actually were to happen, then sure, then it's no longer self-contained. But so far none of such as been stated or even hinted.
FGO has not affected any of the other stories. Your assumptions of what 'should' happen are not relevant here.
Takes place when Olga is 11, retard.
Narita stopped writing and waited for Nasu to finish to continue writing. The war takes place before 2015, in any case.
Did you actually read Extella because it completely changes Extra and CCC.
>Apocrypha is a garbagefest and it's probably going to kill hype for any future spin off
>SF never ever because of this
Are you ignoring Flauros in Case Files?
But you actually claim shit like FSN isn't 'self contained' when it obviously is? Shirou is only relevant as Arturia's love interest. His story is in general completely forgettable as far as the universe building goes.
Pushkin caster would be pretty cool, which reminds me: Tolstoy
Considering they wouldn't add anything without waifubait:
Elena the beautiful caster (Koschei daughter depeniding on translation)
Vasilisa the wise caster
Sokolnik assassin (bastard of Murometc without canon gender)
Maria Morevna as rider(?)
Melty Blood Manga introduced Chaldea in Extra world (the plot was about Sion getting summoned to Extra world before the incineration process, or should I say Extella world?). They all predicted that shit was coming. It was a tie-in for FGO. Case files introduces Chaldea in FSN/Zero. It takes place waaay in the past, Olga is 11 or 12.
It's not self-contained. The abnormality was detected and addressed as coming for them eventually. I'm not sure why you're memeing this is self-contained when Nasu says the opposite.
>sexualizing the taiga
This feels so wrong. Its like finding nudes of your sister or something.
At least it has some cool Servants, like Achilles the pussy chaser.
And yet there is not a single story that was affected in any way by the events of FGO. That is the definition of a self-contained story.
It doesn't matter what any story says happened, if its ramifications are not written in its sister works, then it's self-contained.
FSN isn't self-contained because it has FZ and FHA. FZ+FSN+FHA is self-contained.
And characters have been shared all the damn time. Doesn't mean shit.
No. That took place in FGO timeline which only has one war in Fuyuki, on 2004 which Olga's daddy and Solomon BTFO everyone like a walk in the park (because Solomon is pretty cheatmode). This was all planned by God for a reason. In all the other timelines, top hat pillar dies before he enacts the domino effect of the incineration. Usually Lev suicides to stop the demon possession (Lev's a really good person, Olga had her heart set on a good man but alas!), however this doesn't happen in FGO. Once the incineration starts, it's no longer limited to one timeline, though because the one who enacts it is multi universal: Goetia is on the Grand Time Temple which exists outside all time, outside of Earth.
Extella and Fragments, along with FGO, introduces to a concept Nasu wanted to do since Prototype: time locks of those 'foundation history places'. There is a limit to divergences, those limits are events that must always take place, even if the circumstances can vary. The fall of Britain in King Arthur's reign was one, for example, it doesn't matter if Arthur was male or female or has a body of a 15 years old or an adult. But the absolute event cannot NOT happen. If one of these shits gets burned or changed, human history is burned, human order collapses and it collapses everywhere (at least everywhere with the human order - tsukihime works on anti-history logic).
>And yet there is not a single story that was affected in any way by the events of FGO.
The ending has *just* been published, and if you follow MB manga and Case files, you know the end announced FGO is a fucking thing in Extra and FSN/FZ.
>it has FZ and FHA. FZ+FSN+FHA is self-contained.
Pretty self contained because it takes place on the same place, only the past or the future.
No, it's difficult to translate Nasu babble, but I can try. Extella introduced the novelty that all the timelines where humanity doesn't evolve in a good pace or has a future that stretches out endlessly as potential are pruned. The universe laws bends on favor to humans because of something called human order or androphobic principle is stronk. These are the worlds where the Heroic Spirits materialization and summoning are possible. What makes this human order possible is human history. The accumulation of only 3000 years of human history, for example? Is more powerful than anything the planet Earth would ever produce (yes, GAIAfags BTFO). DA work on anti-history, denying history, that's why they don't exist on the world records; worlds with DAA no longer has Heroic Spirits and vice-versa.
Beasts love humans, hate them and love them, it's complicated. They seek to protect the humans from trampling this human order which would... not have good results, as you can guess. But Goetia's plan existed in all timelines. Because he's spread his tentacles on a foundation moment: King Solomon's death. And he went outside time on the Grand Temple. This shit gets namedropped everywhere, Lev dies before he sets the domino effect on all but one - FGO- And that one is all Goetia needs to begin his incineration ritual of history. When history collapses, so does human order and humanity.
But Goetia's plans went further than that. He was going to restart the whole planet before the Genesis. Recreate the universe order, the human one, based on him, without the concept of death. That's why at one point it's mentioned "even the concept of death is dying" for the shit he pulled.
>Butcher handled Waver's story which was the best thing to come out the events which were always shit tier.
Young Waver gets the rousing spotlight at the end despite doing absolutely nothing and having no scenes or development throughout the whole event, and only getting in that position through an extremely idiotic set of coincidences, including Urobuchi forgetting his characters could do something that he had them do four times throughout the whole story.
Accel Zero is very, very far from being anywhere near well written or coherent, and the only way its central characters don't come out as irresponsible psychopaths is if you assume they are literally the most important thing in the universe and that the people they risk fucking over on whims is unimportant. The only way this opinion is anywhere near coherent is if you're a Zero fanboy who creams his pants at any appearance of Waver and Iskander regardless of how horribly it is handled.
GoA has a scene where Artoria wonders about the nature of her feelings for Merlin to illustrate how she never lived for herself to the point where she could not even categorize her own emotions. The omniscient narrator is extremely clear on how she has no idea what romantic love is since she never experienced that and that this was definitely not it, but you bunch of tards believe anything anybody tells you and run with it, including but not limited to fanficion, so a shipper kept repeating this bullshit for months until someone just translated the passage to shut him the fuck up.
tl:dr no, it's the opposite of true.
He doesn't. Even his profile in GO states that he's a person who has never had a single friend, he doesn't let people get close. Artoria included.
After the fact, the only thing Merlin really feels now about Artoria is guilt. His guilt for meddling in her life and fate is what led him to willingly enter Avalon and become trapped.
Yes, he does. You're fucking autistic like Merlin to not get it? He doesn't understand human love but he fell for Arturia and it frustrated him. Merlin was overjoyed when she got a happy ending, even if he also experienced a complicated troublesome feeling when he assumed she had an extraordinary encounter (it's jealousy, you twat, that's why he flashbacked to her 'confession'). He felt guilt for the first time in his life because he loved her. That guilt made him a prisoner for ages.
He released Fou for him to see the same thing and experience the same as he did when Arturia got her happiness. Fou's feelings for Mashu and Merlin's for Arturia are supposed to be parallels.
>The Magician does not UNDERSTAND human love.
It's Arturia who doesn't know what love is (know by the way is synonymous of 'experience'. The translator was too literal). Merlin doesn't understand human love, Arturia has yet to experience it. But he loves her. That's why his heart was crushed by their farewell which is what is in his mind when he's trapped in the Garden.
>The accumulation of only 3000 years of human history, for example? Is more powerful than anything the planet Earth would ever produce
what does that even mean
how is history "strong"?
also having humanity be backed up by the laws of the goddamn universe seems like a bad idea, writing wise, because one would think the universe would have the power to stop stuff from trying to fuck over humanity, yet Solomon had to sudoku to stop Goetia
Goetia was outside the time and space using Solomon's body in a Grand Caster vessel. So technically he was powered by humanity. What was problematic is that he usurped Solomon's position and power.
>how is history "strong"?
The most powerful and perfect weapon of Gaia is powered up by human ideals and exaltation of glory. History is cumulative of lives, deeds, and actions of men, glorious or not. Gate of Babylon is the embodiment of men's ingenuity.
History is fucking powerful. Most nips TM fans are agreeing that Goetia's incineration process was the most exalted form of fifth magic mixed with other asspulls.
He's a retard.
Goetia's incineration of human history proceeded backwards for a reason. I'm making up the exact dates here for simplicity, but the principle of how it works stands:
-Burn all human history from 2000 onward. Harvest energy. Take it into your temple outside of time.
-Burn all human history from 1900 onward. Harvest energy. Take it into your temple outside of time. Because your temple's time axis is separate from the course of history, the fact that burning everything in 1900 would mean there's nothing to burn in 2000 is irrelevant, because the energy you already yanked out of the time axis won't get retconned out of existence even if your actions within the time axis do.
-Burn all human history from 1800 onward. Harvest energy. Take it into your temple outside of time.
-Keep going and doing this until the beginning of human history.
Goetia abused time fuckery to harvest not just all of humanity's lives, but rather all of humanity's lives who knows how many times over and over and over, thus getting far more energy than has ever existed on earth at at any one time. His energy harvest yielded "Humanity's Total Amount of Energy" multiplied by an unspecified but definitely enormous number.
Ignore the idiot, he just likes vomiting lore at people to sound knowledgeable. He does this in other threads too and keeps bringing up a bunch of shit secondary or tertiary to the questions asked because he gets off on showing "How much he knows"
Case in point: >>152047789
Goetia harvested the energy on earth. That's it, history is just history. It's just that "The Incineration of Human History" is the term used throughout the game to refer to the fact that everything along the timeline got fucked up. The "History" is not an actual thing you can get energy from of course, it's just use dto refer to the people throughout history.
Everything he just blabbed in that last post is retarded nonsense, which is why he's branching off into bringing up unrelated stuff like GoB. He just wants to sound clever by writing fanfiction.
The temple is outside time and space, out of Earth (it seemed like a self-contained mini universe). We get only vague descriptions. But it doesn't take part of the natural flow of time.
>so basically the universe can't save human history from humanity?
We don't know that. By the time he destroyed time, there was nothing to prune to protect it, he dismantled the order. I just assumed he could do it because of Solomon's rings which were powered by God and his self-delusion he was Solomon now. Goetia is kind of tragic character: he gained Solomon's Clairvoyance and just saw suffering and death everywhere and wanted to stop it. He just couldn't understand how death works on humans because he's a hive entity who resisted his own existence many times.
While he was pissed with Solomon's 'apathy' and 'cruelty' for not doing anything when he could change everything. It does sound he was hurt he died and left him alone as the only system. He's scared when he does it a second time. All Beasts are lonely and broken with abandonment issues. Fou was an exception.
ok that actually makes sense
i mean, side from the whole "burn history", but taking that process and substituting the burning of an abstrac concept with, say, melting all humans into mana, the mechanic behind his plan does seem pretty simple to understand.
Let me just say all of this shit sounds completely retarded and it boggles the mind that anyone can take any of this seriously, much less argue over the finer points of the """lore""" in this shitty gatcha mobage
It'll confuse the secondary here because he isn't aware that Goetia is composed in addition to himself of hive of 72 pillar demons who acted in unison according to the plan, each settled cozily on one chosen period to carry out his 'grand order'.
You're nitpicking over how this was perceived by Goetia, which is nowhere near relevant to the point being discussed or the idiotic idea that "history" is a "thing" that can be "fucking powerful" which is what he was actually asking about.
>Goetia is composed in addition to himself of hive of 72 pillar demons
oh i actually knew that, i didn't know he placed them in different time periods to suck up mana but that just seems auxilliary to the main mechanic of the plan, which is the whole time paradox stacked mana sucking
but again, if the pillars (which i assume aren't also powered by solomon humanity) were placed in time periods, why didn't the universe just nip them when they started wiping out humanity?
Now you're talking about the influence of the status of the anthropic principle at any single time, which is also nothing like the shit you were mentioning before.
Next time answer the actual questions being asked instead of shooting off into four superfluous paragraphs about concepts that have little to nothing to do with the mater at hand, and just lead up to those you're "educating" restating their questions while you confuse them further with yet more unrelated wank.
Lancer Arthuria = Slightly older more mature Arthuria, but fundamentally the same as her Saber self.
Lion King = Had half of the knights of the round kill the other half upon summoning them all. Was willing to slaughter a good deal of humanity, and potentially the rest of it as well, in order to create a record of humans having existed. Since she didn't believe there was a future for humanity.
Her logic has become entirely cold, like a divine spirit. She has wandered throughout the world for thousands of years, and has already forgotten all of her humanity.
Better than Jeanne's pick for a mortal boyfriend.
We ever gonna see Alt Scathach?
>why didn't the universe just nip them when they started wiping out humanity?
Because the idea of the universe doing anything for humanity is more retarded nonsense he parroted without understanding.
The cliffnotes version of the Anthropic Principle (real-world brainfucky cosmology theory) is that the universe bends and modifies itself to the precise conditions that allow the existence of the creatures that observe it. The "Why?" is an even more convoluted matter.
Filtered through Nasu mechanics, it's the way the dominant species's beliefs and so on exert a collective influence in the environment. Hence stuff like protective mechanics like Heroic Spirit Summoning and the Counterforce. By becoming the dominant species, humanity's influence nudged the natural laws to accommodate us better. Similar concept to how magic systems and religions get stronger-weaker depending on how much people believe in them, as well as Heroic Spirits being strengthened by fame. Not really a new thing, just expanded to include the flow of time as well. In the universe strongly affected by the anthropic principle, the timelines where humanity persists are favored.
That doesn't mean the timelines where humanity is destroyed are prevented, they're just pruned. Humanity is extinguished in many timelines, it's just those timelines are discarded. There's limits to the anthropic principle's means and there are ways to circumvent the Counterforce. The "Universe" is not looking out for humanity nor doing anything, it's our influence that bends things our way, and if Humanity gets caught with its pants down, we are fucked. Goetia simply did things in a way that even the anthropic principle couldn't bail us out of.
>FGO is a story that explains where Heroic Spirits come from in the first place
We knew that already. The human collective unconsciousness, founded by the planet Earth as a distinct race so that it would surpass the limitations of its terrestrial sphere and spread its Order/chitsujo to other celestial bodies, invests special significance in certain individuals and nudges "fate" (that is, the subconscious actions of human beings) to bring about certain chains of events that establish great events and progress in history. Those Heroic Spirits who are well known to have been the centerpieces of these events end up in a pseudo-deified state, as they are praised and admired and remembered by the masses of human beings, carving out the Throne of Heroes, a "place" in Akasha, the absolute principle and fundamental reality of the seting's multiverse, where their records are stored and can be drawn upon as Counter Guardians when truly necessary and Alaya's Counterforce (as manifested by the capacity to regulate the subconscious actions of human beings to bring about a result) proves otherwise incapable of deterring an extinction-scale event.
We didn't need F/GO's absolutely insipid Chaldean bullshit to explain any of this. It was all already there and made sense within the principles of the setting. It was esoteric and mystical and F/GO ruined it.
>the origin of magecraft, miracles, and the end of the Age of Gods, Mystery and the beginning of the Age of Men
Other than Solomon establishing modern Magecraft, we already knew all of that by CCC and most of what CCC added was retconning stuff that was already explained or could be inferred as early as PlusPeriod. Back in the day, Shinrei used to use Marble Phantasms, not Authority, for example. F/GO added nothing but idiocy and inconsistencies.
>Garden of Avalon
was absolutely trash and Rhon is a fucking stupid idea that reduces the backstage of Earth to Arturia powerwank, holy mother of fuck.
Nasu fucked it all up.
So will fucking Gudao/Gudako die at the end of Part 2 for all the dumb stunts they pull?
Konbanwa, Nasu desu. Shin character here for FGO 2.0. Do you rike it?
No nigger, there's a difference between an actual eirei and EMIYA's CG contract bullshit, but the original purpose of the Throne of Heroes is for the reconstitution of eirei in the case of an emergency. The Grail War's summoning ritual is based on hacking into this already established "natural" system in tandem with an incomplete actualization of the Heaven's Feel. That's why it makes sense that a contracted preventative measure like EMIYA could get the wires crossed with the Throne of Heroes and be summoned at all in the first place.
Arturia is, of course, a special case herself, but most of the eirei experienced being recorded in the Throne of Heroes just as EMIYA described his existence - like a book being taken off the shelf. You see similar book metaphors used for Kurogiri and Roa, beings who also experienced reality from the perception of being records at some point or another.
I forgot that I can't come into a fucking TM thread without going 100% autism. Fuck you, Nasu. You did this to me, you cunt.
Here cute Hassans for your effort.
>They will get better.
People die when they are killed. Guda(k)o will most likely end up in the Throne if they die too since they are for all intent and purposes Magi Jesus who died while trying to save Humanity/did save Humanity.
If that doesn't get you into the Throne than Humanity is a mistake.
>but who decided we're the dominant species?
>The "Why?" is an even more convoluted matter.
The anthropic principle is some fucked up shit and has to do a lot with perception. It's possible for there to be multiple universes obeying the anthropic principles of various races, and this universe accommodates us because we are perceiving it. It gets really fucking confusing when you get into the possibility that every race perceives the universe as accommodating them in some way, like we all exist in alternate-yet-superposed universes.
>It's possible for there to be multiple universes obeying the anthropic principles of various races,
But >>152050013 this was the explanation about the whole DAA bullcrap. And there was the other pretentious wall of text Nasu threw about how Solomon's Ars Nova had the consequence of the disappearance of the agent of god, so the world will be determined by the laws men weave. It seems Nasu was hastily making a convoluted explanation.
I hope King isn't any time soon, i am completely out of quartz.
Explain to me what was wrong with Goetia plan? He was going to make Humanity great again, everyone is immortal, magic has returned everywhere and is no longer circlejerked or kept hidden, WORLD PEACE, and other things.
I don't see anything wrong with it? Even if you died, to make such a thing happen you wouldn't notice it so who cares?
In some Universe (You) are a Counter Guardian. And if (You) get into a HGW (You) can summon "Yourself" from an AU who became a Counter Guardian to help (You) win your HGW.
Though the Guardian (You) might try and kill (You) so you don't walk the same path as them.
>There is a Grail and Heroic spirits, but it's basically singularities of those important foundation places that emerge with Servants of ages as helpers or antagonists in helping the protagonist group to fix shit.
Where does those Servants come from? Who summons them?
