This show isn't even as daring as most previous Trigger shows. It's like it was made for western audiences.

That's part of the charm though, like how the charm in PSG was how it borrowed from raunchy and juvenile western cartoons the thing that makes LWA great is how it does the same from a more Disney/Pixar-ish angle while still noticeably being most prominently anime.
I find the Professor Layton movie was much the same in that regard, like it's something you could actually watch and enjoy with the family without it being awkward.
