My first thought when i began reading arc 4 was "for fuck's sake, just go and talk to Emilia about her past right now, that would solve half of your problems, moron". Isn't it obvious for any normal human that whiteknighting anyone to that insane extent would get you and especially your object of desire nowhere. How can he bounce between opinions of his conviction that Emilia will overcome the trial and that he don't want her to suffer even when it needed to her to accept her past to walk head high in future, he's just doesn't get it how people work, especially consider that Emilia is mentally almost child. He spent 4 loops literally doing nothing, getting bit's of information, getting rekt by everyone, getting everyone rekt because of his stupidness when all he needed to do is just to turn on his fucking head and ask right people the right questions, and tell them that they should listen to him and to what he needed to say. The rest of your rant aside I can actually agree that the WN made it too obvious that Roswaal was behind pretty much everything too early. That scene from really early on where he pulls out his gospel and starts creepily caressing it pretty much gave it away. Even though it's natural for Subaru not to suspect he's that much of a shitter I dont think the readers could seriously think otherwise.

In the LN its a lot less obvious since Frederica is actually acting pretty weird and Roswaal is actually doing "useful" shit like sending Ram back to the mansion or telling Subaru how he can get Beatrice's help. Also he doesn't just randomly reveal he has a gospel to Subaru for no reason. Of course in retrospect its obvious he set frederica up and the other shit doesn't matter since he hired Elsa (in fact it makes sending Ram back even more of a dick move) but without foresight I honestly don't know if I would have called that.

Even now arc 4 is being shortened, some plot points made fast and other stuff like that. And they are also arranging certain things.

For example one of the things that happened in the WN but didn't in the LN, is the fact that apparently Puck and Emilia never fought the cult, while in the LN she froze one of the hands. In the WN he couldn't do that or else he breaks contract apparently, and remembers everything he lost prior to becoming a spirit.

Not to mention how WN has a lost loop where he goes to Beatrice and she mentions Rem, despite the fact Beatrice should have forgotten about Rem in the first place, and at the end of it Subaru dies due to being forced to suicide.

Probably. Their world is smaller in population and maybe size. Some individuals would draw out the war though. And if we somehow count the witches then everyone would lose, Earth included. Reinhard would never have to worry about a firearm for instance or a nuke. Wilhelm can do all that crazy shit without magic and so can Rem even without her horn. Magic takes a bit of learning so it's not as accessible as guns are but it's way easier to conceal. Certain types of magic have things we can't fight against or never had to deal with before. Like Ram's illusion. So while we have the advantage it's hard to say at times.

Regulus probably wouldn't pursue, as he probably wouldn't be very interested in her, but Batenkaitos already ate a bunch of the memories of everyone else in the Whale hunt. We can assume he already knew Rem was an important participant, and I think quite a few of them were aware of her connection to the man who provided the info on the whale. A few of them had probably seen them about to makeout. The kind of passion she shows is probably exactly the kind of thing Ley likes to eat.

Now, his physical abilities aren't unimpressive either. He has a large scar on his shoulder from Rem's flail, meaning that little punk somehow survived a blow from it. If Rem tried to run away, he'd probably have given chase until she collapsed out of exhaustion.

So, anyone else notice that Re:Zero is usually pretty obvious in announcing which sin Subaru is going to be struggling with in any given part of the story? In the first Arcs, I think there are plenty of mentions of how late he sleeps, how he's never worked before, and isn't going to school. I'm pretty sure he also thinks of himself as a NEET in one of the sidestories. He also gives Rem a speech about relying on others, and there's plenty of focus on how she overworks himself. This all comes to an obvious conclusion with the Betelgeuse thing.

Then the story starts focusing on Greed, and again it's still very obvious about it. Perhaps even more on the nose about it than it was with Sloth, if that's possible. While Greed was largely resolved with Echidna, Regulus is still the next Bishop to go down.

So, I was wondering if any conspicuous lines came up in Arc 6, but I think we all already know which Sin came into focus in that one. I mean, with all the talk of Mabeasts, Ram's mana starvation, and fixing Rem. Still, we need the personal expression of Gluttony from Subaru to seal the deal. Now, this next line is important only in the context that the Bishops of Gluttony don't feed on anything physical, and the emptiness they try to fill most certainly isn't in their literal stomachs.

Satella is an imbecile, probably a bit dumber than Emilia, and was ultimately coerced into consuming the other witches and ultimately devouring half the world by a bigger bad, probably using Subaru as collateral. There are already a couple big names who could be or be connected to that person.

That theory comes from that although Satella and The Witch of Envy are incredibly powerful, they have yet to have done anything, aside from assimilating the other witches, displays a clear amount of forethought towards a greater goal.

I was also thinking about the reasons the other witches don't hold a grudge for Satella doing what she did. I came up with either Satella and the other witches believing that devouring half the world was necessary for some unexplained reason, or that only Satella herself was acting under that impression, but the other witches never blamed her for being under that impression, which would make sense if she was either simple, naive and easily manipulated, or that she was blackmailed and coerced into doing what she did.
