I would be perfectly fine with her not able to keep the balance and falling off the bike, that happens even if you rode a normal bike during childhood.

My point is, even on this bike with training wheels, she still had to press pedals to actually move forward - I don't see any handle sticking out of the bike for her parents to push her around with. Unless we assume her entire experience with bikes as a child was just sitting on one without actually moving forward, which isn't likely.
If, even if, that was the case, the usage of pedals is a common knowledge if your brain is advanced enough to go to high school.
