There's never been a bad Lupin series and I don't understand how you can say any recent Lupin anything was bad when literally the most recent things that came out are the Fujiko spinoff, Jigen's Gravestone, Blue Jacket, and the new Goemon movie that comes out in February. All of those things were great.

what Part 4? it's a series. 26 episodes plus a special that takes place in between 2 of the episodes. I don't know when it takes place. I always assumed before Cagliostro since that takes place later in the timeline. about 12 years after green jacket to be exact. I know Cagliostro is mentioned in the show, but I always assumed they were referring to A Cagliostro since they have a long bloodline.

once you have finished with all you wanted to see, check out the Fujiko Mine spinoff series to see if you like it. It serves as a prequel to the green jacket series but it does have a main story as well as being episodic so you may need to watch all of it. Be aware it is darker in tone. Once you have finished that, watch it's sequel OVAs which is called Jigen's Gravestone. once you have finished Jigen's Gravestone watch it's sequel film Blood Spray of Goemon which comes out on February 4th.

Everything comes full circle. Hope this helps.

well the character is the same but there are differences in the show themselves. Lupin wears different outfits because unlike most anime characters, Lupin has class and a sense of fashion which is also why he has short hair and not typical faggy anime hair.

When it comes to the shows though

Green = Darker/More serious
Red = funner/light hearted/comedic
Pink = same as red but with wackier art/animation
Blue = Best of everything.

what relationship? they fuck one time. I'll admit I don't like that but it made sense why she did it. The issue with it is I don't like that version of Zenigata. I miss bumbling fun Zenigata, but it's a prequel to Green Jacket so it makes sense he's very serious and doesn't know much about Lupin yet which is why he even tried to kill him.

The convoluted owl nonsense and Fujiko's backstory could have been left out and instead just have a short arc at the end where Fujiko deals with some relatively simple daddy issues or something.

how are the character designs weird? they look like more detailed versions of the Cagliostro designs which are beautiful. The only problem is the voices which makes it really difficult since the original actors literally make those characters. the different actors play them differently and they just dont have the same kind of heart that made the cast so great. What's even sadder is you could watch the dub since those are usually different which makes it easier to digest, but unfortunately it is the absolute worst dub of any Lupin movie ever.
