So I know you guys only discuss moe shit, but can we have a thread about thoughtful, depressive or insightful manga? Preferably something psychological, it's ok if it's psychedelic but i don't want nonsense, I want something personal and gripping. I don't know what to read next.
Looking for manga like this:
Pic related
Homonculus
20th Century Boys (read all his other stuff)
Freesia
Push Man and other stuff by Yoshihiro Tatsumi
Suicide Island
Just something I can read while listening to lo-fi and ride out this horrible horrible winter depression.
Inside Mari
Shōjo Tsubaki
Boku Girl

You and me both, bruh.

Just use the genre search on manga updates with some tags related to what you want, it's easier than getting recs out of /a/.
Double You Ace Air.

Asano's work in general
Tetsuya Toyoda

Mangaupdates has a shit system for recommendations, I only get recommended mainstream stuff like FMA, old stuff like BLAME or actual cool stuff that isn't translated.
Just to add some recommendations: Usamaru Furuya has a nice disaster manga called 51 ways to save her, usually he's just drawing perverted and psychedelic gag manga but this one has a more "normal" plot. Lots of rape though. Main girl is a realistic goth loli chick.

Not using the recommendation system you dongus, the genre search, just check seinen, search only manga, optionally check the option to exclude non translated stuff, then if you want add a tag/category option of what you are looking for like "Depression". Then just sort through the results however you want picking out things you think sound neat.
That's how I find new English stuff
