Nah, the show is.
The animation felt off for some reason.
isnt that basically every battle manga?
>heh he's good, guess I have to use "that"
Using the most powerful moves works either way, if you do it early and it hits, you'll be in better shape and can wail on him more easily.
Slowly weakening him and using him may finish him off, but you may also by a little fucked so you would not pull it off as strong.
>Villains having trouble with heroes
what animes do this?
This. I never got why people complaint like OP did about that. Especially if it's a secret move the opponent is not aware, having in peak condition of the body and mind will only facilitate in any possible dodging or bullshiting in general.
> Even bothering with a "trump card" instead of just overwhelming them across the board with superior stamina and technique.
This. If you don't know your opponents defensive, evasive and healing capacities, using a super move early could be ineffective
>the enemy is fresh and could evade
>the enemy didn't took enough damage, so maybe he will not be hurt, but not defeated
>the enemy might have some shield/armor/magic that reduces of nullifies damage
>the enemy might have a healing spell that regenerates himself
Best way to use a super move is after you think the chances of it hitting and defeating the enemy are the highest
>so exhausted it becomes a fist fight
>Someone else finishes the fight just as the hero's knocked out cold and the villain's barely left standing
