I really hopped that they'd show us how Junko was the leader of angry reserved course students opposing corrupted money hungry HP academy and how she manipulated everyone in 77 class using their passions and weaknesses but I guess that was too much for 12 episodes so we got brainwashing animu. It downplayed Junko's role in Despair accident greatly and kind of ruined her for me.
On the bright side I was happy to see everyone animated, new character designs were cuter than in previous adaptation. I wasn't enthusiastic about new characters at first but these threads made me love them. It was a fun ride.

I had fun with the memes and the shitposting.

The series itself? Very so-so.
