Essentially, Lucifer went insane over the pain it caused him to lose his body each time and he took it out on the world along with other demon kings, causing flooding, pestilence and the fires of war. This resulted the demon kings becoming split, one pro human and one pro demon. There was also something in the french wiki about Mephisto and Samael fighting for days on end and they ended up destroying a huge chunk of Gehenna, but I'm not sure this is true yet. Anyway, they kind of co-existed until a hundred years ago until Lucy said "I HAD IT I'M BLOWING UP THIS PLANET" but mephisto was like "chill dog, we'll just clone our hosts and have an endless supply of human bodies. They did this in the old exorcist cram school called the asylum, it is where Shiro and Angel were trained and where the Blue Night originated. However, the clones werent all successful, so they then made an immortality elixer, or tried to and then they succeded in making their first host, which was Amaimons body. Although suddenly, something possessed one of the hosts intended for Lucifer, at first the Baal didn't have a clue who it was until they figured out it was the concept that created them so essentially Gehenna. And as Satan is physchotic as he is, he went on a rampage through out the world relishing in his person and desires (e.g raping Yuri)
