If it's a non-lewd figure you can harass the post office for a refund, you can also ask mandarake to refund you, then you might get double your money back. I did it once when my packages were stolen and delivered to my neighbors who conveniently moved away 1 month later when I realized they had received it by mistake. Getting a 6k refund is decent enough, only a small loss.

The difference is that the scaled figures are scaled. This means that, for example, a 1/8 scaled figure is 1/8 the size of the actual character if it existed in real life. Prize figs, on the other hand, come in a standard size and can be disproportionate with respect to other character from the same series. Assuming you're talking about scaled figures of the same character then you would have a point. It wouldn't make sense if the same character is larger in 1/8 than in 1/7. Of course, an argument can be made that perhaps their base contributes to the fact that a 1/8 figure is bigger than a 1/7 figure. If you're talking about scales of different characters, though, then their in-anime height may explain the size differences.

Either way, the two factors you assumed away (price and quality) are very important factors in any figure. As such, because prize figures lack those qualities, that would be a good reason to leave them out. Well, that and because the question posed specifically directed us to "scale" figures lol.

Anywho, post what you want, man.
