Also his son is meant to be a Christ allegory while the main antagonist of his Part is named Diavolo, which is Italian for Devil. DIO isn't meant to represent 'God' since he was always an asshole but it works in the context of Part 5 where Giorno never actually knew him but still idolises him and wanting to live up to his father leads him to doing great things, even if his father only ever did awful things.
