The members of the winners of the final Grand Prix get to compete to become Divine Idols. At first it looks as though Tricolore's going to win, but then Salami and Nonsugar edge their way into a tie for first place and they're warped to this celestial arena. Then Chiri is like ikki ni kami aidoru ni narimasu wa but she gets zapped by some Divine Lightning and drops out and they have to dance and sing avoiding it. Sophie looks to be having the easiest time but she runs out of Red Flash, gets blasted and then Pepper and Mirei drop out as well. Eventually Lala and Non pull off some impossible dance move to repel a dozen Divine Lightning strikes and their Prism Voice (yeah you know that shit comes back) repels the final one and both of them are warped to Idol Valhalla where they meet the Saints and it's like after you become a Divine Idol you can't return to the real world but you become a privileged existence within PriPara and Non is like fuck yeah and Lala's like I can't do that man Non congratulations and Non's like okay finally I chouten ni tatsu and the Saints are like Lala you baka you can't not become a Divine Idol now your idol self is lost forever and you have to compete as your regular loli self and then Non creates a real Junon, Pinon and Kanon with her new Divine Idol magic and Lala and the four Nons have a celebratory orgy.

is it me or do aikatsu stars songs have less sticking power than OGs?

I can name 10 OG songs off the top of my head, but the only stars song that I know is aikatsu step

maybe because when you first started watching aikatsu they were the first songs so it was easier for you to keep track and remember them but now that you've watched 200+ episodes of idol anime and listened to 50~ songs or so they're starting to blur together.

This was an okay episode, it was mostly build up for the upcoming S4 election. It wasn't nearly as good as last episode, but the scene at the end with Hime and Yume was pretty nice. I also wish we would get more fun scenes with the teachers like the old maid one this episode.

It's doing the same as the last Akari gen year. They projected 2.9 bil for the first half of the year after the first quarter results (hence why we thought it was doing better), but it ended up earning 2.4 bil instead. Though interestingly enough, they full year projection was raised (then again every full year projection aside from Youkai Watch and Digimon was) from 5.6 to 6 bil.

That's pretty much exactly what I was going to say. Not really anything to write home about, their Ema things weren't really unexpected although Yume's just being ZENBU ZENBU ZENBU ZENBU showed her goal is still "just do it". The final scene with Hime was nice in concept and playing the OST version of Start Line (I think) felt good, it could've been storyboarded a bit better.
