It's overrated for sure but still not a bad show by any stretch of imagination. 12 episode lenght helps it immensly as it never drags and is a nice, robust package with a nice plot, marvelous soundtrack and some great moments when watching for the first time. Still, nothing worth loosing your head over.


Stray from the movies at least until a sequel is announced (if it is ever), as Rebellion will just leave you kinda unfulfilled.

The show is great and so is the movie.

When I watched it I was expecting some great story telling with amazing direction and all I got some ten episodes of worthless trash. The only decent episode was the Homura one and even then that one episode didn't salvage this trash heap.

Still the anime of the decade so far and it looks like 2017 will be another year where nothing exceeds it

I am >>151806647 and I went in with the bar really really high. Maybe if I had set it low I might of enjoyed it more but I could see all its flaws as plain as day and wondered to myself why this anime is recommended. So now I have this burning hatred for it cause I got tricked into watching a dumb dark magical girl show that wasn't even amusing. It reeked of pretentious.

You can tell a lot bad about Madoka but not that it's soundtrack is bad or misused, and for a TV show with QUALITY it manages to look great and have many memorable scenes.

It's plot may not be World-class, but in my expierience it's nearly top of the heap as far as TV anime go.
