Anime companies are all about selling the latest trends to what otaku currently like

I don't think they feel they could profit out of Fukumoto's works anymore, hence the lack of Kaiji S3 or Akagi S2

Well >>151805778, to be fairly honest it would be hard to find someone that remotely looks like a fukumoto character.

Akagi and Kaiji's live action were pretty good even though they went hardcore bishonen with the main character (Not too much with Kaiji but with Akagi damn ...).

What I really care about is fukumoto's writing (Even though I unironically like his drawings) so has long as we get good adaptations I don't mind if it's anime or live action (Even though I crave for a new anime).
