Waking the Dragon had the problem of being typical Yoshida-written garbage, all his stuffs (GX S4, 5Ds post 64, ZEXAL) are pretty much the same shit with different characters and he reuse the same message.

Tournament arc was a light breather, plus it had Kaiba OTK a guy from a massive disadvantage.

I'm surprised no-one has done a re-scan or a rip of the original YuGiOh series yet, considering it got a re-release recently, as well as a digital edition. Some redditor already did it for GX/5Ds/ZEXAL

I like this manga version better than anime. There is no Yami hogging the spotlight, Jou doesn't lose to Otogi through Duel Monsters which he should be better than him at, he doesn't wear that dumb dog costume, Yugi demonstrates his growth, Otogi has more depth to him than his anime counterpart who's just throwing a tantrum for no reason.
