Nothing to apologize for. I've always said Cú is the best FSN, and a terribly misused Servant. No wonder he kicks when fighting for himself.
As Caster he's strong, but it really doesn't suit his tastes.
>Ochd Deug Odin - Great God Crest
>In modern terms, Matrix Wodan. A Noble Phantasm activated by invoking all the 18 original runes conferred by Scathach together with the release of the True Name. The power of the rune obtained by the great god of Northern Europe is temporarily released to bestow large-scale magic damage on the enemy camp. Furthermore, surviving enemies will have all buff effects dispelled, the parameters of their abilities will be forcibly reduced by 1 Rank and, in case they possess constantly active Noble Phantasms, those will halted for 1~2 turns.
>A extremely powerful trump card but, fundamentally, it is not employed in "FateGO".
>There is also a possibility that use-restrictions have been applied by Odin-- but details will be left as unknown for now.
>With Territory Creation, he can create a territory that simulates Scathach's gate NP. However, he refrains from using it since it might get his childish mentor mad.
>Rune Magecraft has Ranked UP due manifesting as a Caster. Other than attacks, he mainly uses this to temporarily simulate the effects of other Skills, such as Magic Resistance or Clairvoyance.
>The Cage of Scorching Flames Rank: B
>A giant composed by countless tree branches makes his appearance. Said giant wears flames on his body and applies intense heat and flame damage by rushing on the target. The cage on the torso of the giant that appeared as a Noble Phantasm is empty, hence the giant rages while seeking the offerings to the gods. This is not a secret art of the runes, but a Noble Phantasm of the Celtic druids, given to the Child of Light who manifested as a ｢Celt magus｣ that manipulates sweltering heat.
I guess his luck is slightly less shit as a caster.
He solo's a grail war as Caster and finally got to beat Archer on top of it.

Cu confirmed for Grand Caster.
Fate Grand Order anime, series of OVA's
Saber Alter not so tough after being trapped in a burning giant alter that's about to go off like a powder keg.
Wicker Man is strongest NP
I need to watch this. Cu was always my favorite Fateboy.
>Loses to a caster in close range combat
Archer didn't factor in the wood clones
Where he also hides his real body
At last my boy is getting the love he deserves
We saw Archer using NPs all over the place, we saw Medusa use her eyes.
Them not using NP is only a game thing, to make them fodder bosses. In lore they were just altered versions of themselves here.
Lads, was this scene anywhere in any of the fate works or is this entirely just fan art?
Found this wallpaper but I don't ever recall this type of scene.
>couple months ago
>friend tells me to watch fate/zero
>I knew nothing about fate series
>he tells me its a prologue but I can watch it first
>go on /a/
>ask anonymous friends if I should watch zero first
>get told to read VN
>finished reading it last week
>started watching zero
>15 minutes in
>so fucking glad I was told to read the VN
So I can safely say I'm not a secondary, r-right guys?
You did good, son.
Now cringe thinking of the literal tens of thousands of people that Zero turned into secondaries with that first episode.
Glad you're not one of them, huh?
Now read other Type-Moon shit.
>Please, Scatach just straight up demolishes this.
>She demolishes it because of a ten second clip where all we saw is her rocketing onto its hand, not actually her beating it.
Nice fanfiction you wrote
Cu Chulainn = Greatest hero ever in the region, fucked thousands of chicks, killed thousands of enemies and won thousands of battles
Scathach = hag that got fucked by Cu Chulainn along with her daughter and her sister. That's her entire claim to fame AND relevance.
Please, let's not try shitting on Scathach. She was literally the strongest wizard/warrior of Ireland. She fucked lots of dudes and ladies too if some of the stories are to believed. And while Cu eventually became more famous, he never really surpassed her either.
I tried so hard to not be a secondary, friend. For the sake of my own viewing/reading enjoyment and for pride purposes
I tried so fucking hard lad
>MFW all my nasuverse experience comes from the fighting games and I don't give a shit.
>Archer can only beat Rider
You take that back.
B rank is enough to resist it unless you fail a surprise check when she unveils it. You won't petrify much at all normally.
He failed the check though, seems he didn't realize who Medusa was in his version of the war. Because he didn't regain his senses fast enough half his body petrified immediately when normally it shouldn't have according to bio.
Archer won the melee fight, though. Cu won thanks to prep time. He had those magical stone thingies he took from the director chick.
Why did they nerf Saber Alter and Archer so hard?
Wicker Man shouldn't do shit to Alter thanks to magic resistance, and Archer should have raped Cu the moment they went melee, he killed Heracles several times and was able to fight the true Cu who had much better stats and weapon.
Not to mention how shitty they made Excalibur Morgan look.
>B-but Archer won
Cu only got in that headlock because he was distracted for a second watching over the group fighting Alter. Archer only got him in that hold because Archer also thought he was seeing a few moves ahead by throwing Kansho, but it turns out he was outplayed. Even when Archer went for the kill he couldn't do it, and it was revealed that Cu was prepping the entire situation. He was never in danger there definitively, he wasn't caught, he was gaming the situation.
Hell, I don't even know how to create a metaphor for what you just said. Its just "Well you were pretending to be down, but but I definitely won even though I didn't because I was sure I won at that one point when it turns out you were tricking me. Even though when I actually tried to go for the kill I realized I was never in control. No fair, doesn't count, I won because I thought I had it for a moment even when it was revealed I didn't".
>Wicker Man shouldn't do shit to Alter thanks to magic resistance
Her magic resistance is lower than normal Saber's, and Wickerman isn't even a magic attack. He's not blasting her with magic, he's invoking the Druid's cursed idol to immolate her with itself as an offering for god. Its damage is pretty straight forward and physical. It just kills by fire.
>Cu was prepping the entire situation
Indeed. He won thanks to prep time.
Without the rocks he borrowed he couldn't have distracted Archer and have time to replace himself with the wood clone.
Cause Order's fights are derived from an rpg where one blasts through a batch enemies one after another. He killed Rider, Assassin, not-Rider, Archer, and Saber Fucking Alter back to back with ease; straight up impossible feats if in any other medium.
Still, they could have gone for a double kill in Archer vs. Cu, and have the MC boost the shit out of Mashu with command spells. Or at least clarify that the servants were nerfed.
Alters are more arrogant and cruel
Despite people memeing UBW its not that good in most situations. Takes a long time to get up, uses all his prana fast, its said that a master of their craft unlike Gilgamesh would be able to counter it, and other issues. Archer has always suited more towards pulling out individual items and using those one at a time like he was doing.
Crane Wing was pointless to use, that's a formation attack that he saves for fighting monsters. This wasn't a monster, this was someone he thought he could beat, until it turned out he couldn't. He thought he understood Cu, Archer was arrogant though. Caster Cu's abilities were too different from what he thought he knew about the guy. Crane Wing also doesn't work unless you can perfectly read the opponent in several ways. Alters are filled with bloodlust which probably ranks down his insight.
Also Cu can just poof away his weapons using his magic, crane wing relies on a four attack pincer move which wouldn't work in so many ways. But its also just unlikely his alter self would use it since its suited towards a calm skilled user, rather than Alter.
>the cage...is empty, so the giant rages while searching for an offering to the gods
Does this mean the Irish performed human sacrifices by setting people on fire? What the fuck
Speaking of Altera:
>Although she is classified as one, her ability surpasses those of Heroic Spirits, and she is able to battle Scathach to a standstill.
based on in-game dialogue:
>Scathach: You've taken my attack. So, your title of "Great King of Destruction" isn't just for show.
>Altera: ...I'm the one who's surprised. It took on my sword but it didn't get destroyed. What is...that spear?
So while I can believe that an apprentice can surpass their master, is it that Scathach took the top again in regards to Cu? Martially, that is.
The MC will roll the gacha and unlock Berserker servant Frankenstein's monster. I know because I've played the game.
They go to 14th century France and fight evil Joan of Arc, who summoned a bunch of other bad guys with the help of Gilles de Rais (Caster from Fate Zero), while the protagonists are aided by the original good Joan and two random servant chicks who have no reason to be there, both of which are just as villainous as the enemies but are on the right side so it's all good.
Hey I remember something about archer and saber sort of recognizing each other like months ago when I went into a F/GO thread. Is that like part of the story or just some side/special event thing?
Saber has a special line if you also have Archer
> The Archer cloaked in red... To be able to fight with him is pleasing, but also sad. Whatever path in life he has chosen, that Heroic Spirit is destined to continue fighting.
Servants can be assigned to My Room, where they essentially act as wallpaper for the library and talk when you poke them. Some of them have unique lines referencing others if you've rolled them, usually about how much they like or dislike a particular Servant.
Thus far, Arturia and Emiya have only shown up in events, discounting Saber Alter and Shadow Emiya from the prologue.
Gilgamesh while not being serious
Saber I guess in a similar situation to Sparks Liner High
Long range I guess he could be a lot more effective especially if he was serious and used shit like Hrunting
I dont get this UBW meme, it's Shirou who says UBW won't allow him to beat a servant who has took a weapon to it's highest level. EMIYA =/= Shirou.
He is a servant by default, and has much more powerful weapons inside his UBW than Shirou has, just look at the meme that is Illya Shirou to see what happens when he gets a wider array of weapons (and yes I know everything in Illya is "scaled down") So Archer with UBW could beat servants, since again he is not Shirou. Another example is heaven's feel Shirou while alters are weaker just with Archers arm and one blade from UBW he wreckts shit.
