It does, but this also has to benefit the studio as well. They both get benefits about it, so if you get an anime if you are an author of a LN/Manga, you should be considered fucking lucky no matter how the anime comes out, since maybe some faggot will actually read the source material and purchase your shit, even if the studio did lose.

That's not how it works at all. Anime are funded by production committees. These often include Tv stations/merchandise/publishers/production studios ect. Studios are usually not on the committee unless it is original. (And even then, they are often lesser members) Almost all studios (Sunrise and Kyoani excluded) are mostly just contractors given a set amount of cash to produce an anime.
