The first Fate I watched was Zero (inb4 newfag) followed by UBW. I really thought each series was about a new Holy Grail War. Characters were unique to each series (sans servants) and less relevant than the war itself and how the character/servant duos fought it. With that in context, I don't think GOFO is for me.

I only skipped Extra because I don't like the game mechanics and I don't like dungeon crawling type. Oh, and Grand Order because I can't be arsed to get into mobage. Other than that, why not? I like being able to enjoy more of a thing I like. It's no different from consuming more shows from a genre or artists you like.
