Ya I did watch them, but they didn't hit the spot. they were just extra bits, not the whole mood of the series to me. I don't know why, but I think it was the very pleasant landscapes of Biyori combined with the carefree-ness of the setting. Would be very hard to properly combine something exciting (monster girls) and something passive (carefree youth of Biyori's characters).

Rach does interesting stuff when shes actually present, she just isn't usually passively there in scenes like most of the other characters so you don't get as many little quips or character insights from her.
I think she's harder to 'frame' than most characters for Crab. Even Cerea is just 'leave extra room behind her and draw a big skirt', but with Rach since she doesn't cover her spider half you have to actually be pretty cognizant of her leg position and stuff in wider angle shots.
