Materials show she's pretty useless actually. She's well meaning, but useless. She just inherited things after her dad died, tried to run it but really she relies on them all Roman does most of the work, she relies on Lev for the rest. She's doesn't have the potential to be a master.

Her good parts are that she'll worry about things until her hair starts coming out, but she'll still do the right thing in the end. Also for a magus she's not evil.

She's also kind of Akiha. When she found out her dad was running cruel experiments on some created humans she fretted about it for months thinking that the one that survived would eventually take revenge on her, but she still gave that kid a job in her facility.

MMOs are dated shit, most kids have gone mobile which does guarantee more of a userbase. Also a console game that simply has DLC added is also dead six months after its out, it couldn't have kept going.

Any other way they released this and it wouldn't have finished the first few orders before being dead. Even the way they did it, it had to continuously be funded big time in order to be completed.

Also the product improved a fucking lot due to feedback from the fans constantly, the initial product would have been shit if it was a console game with DLC like some way. The game only got good due to feedback and them putting everything into it after awhile after it proved super successful. Arturia had a decent explanation and reason about 'hiding her gender' which directly affected her character, plus one of the most powerful magi at her beck and call for illusions should she needed it. Those random genderswaps are just cashgrabs without any sort of effort put into them as characters. He's not trying to apologize for Sakura no matter how you spin this, she's one of the top eight most popular characters in the franchise. Anyone that played the game got exactly what we expected with this special. Nothing amazing, just more advertising and celebrating the end of part 1 of the story.

Hmm I found the show kinda jarring.
From a canon/story line point of view.

Fistly. Skipping to grand order without covering any of the other stories set between the end of UBW/Heavens Feel and the start of grand order. (Atraxia, Unlimited Codes, Extra). Was a dumb decision. There is a lot of stuff explained about the nature of servants, the grail war, and the world of magus in those other series that you need to know to even start to wrap your head around Grand Order.

Second. Fans of just the shows are attached to Shiro, Rin and the whole Fuyuki arc. Dropping them into this much later iteration of the world without familiar characters to reference it going to upset and confuse a lot of viewers.

Third the show itself was break neck paced with a lot of little skips to cram as much into the hour it had, which made the whole thing feel rushed and left more questions than answers.

Forth. The Fight scenes where bad guys. Fate is a series that is legendary for its animation and fight scene. The ones in this where poorly animated, with very little strategy and only vague lip service to the complexity of the previous iterations of the series. (There is only so much stand there and block with a shield low frame animation i can stand.)

Fith and fianlly. Steaks wise, Including an already dead character then Killing her to raise the stakes was pointless. Why let the view know she was already dead then kill her? The death would of had more power if we didn't have that little tidbit of information and the villain was strait out murdering a potential protagonist. This lowering of steaks was doubled down when they miraculously healed pick haired mcguffin after showing her crushed by a fucking rock.
They are basically saying "These two will never be in mortal danger don't worry"

The Grand order ova was bad guys. Such an disappointing entry into the franchise.

Most of the issues i had with this installment where in pacing, animation and directorial choices. I actually kinda like the premise of the protagonist. "Your not special, you where out last choice but everyone else was murdered".The villan overlooking murdering him because he is such an unlikely person to be a threat. It quite refreshing form all the chosen ones and special snowflake Gary Stu's on recent anime.

Guda's talent is getting along with servants which proved to be the greatest talent of all. At the end of the day he's the most optimal master who did everything he needed to. Hell, in some events and parts of the story we see him put his life on the line alone doing crazy things to win the heroes over. At least two events had a normal human with no servant protecting him win over crazy heroes and survive on his own.

Understandable for a video game, where the structure allows for silent protagonists, but you've got to give something better if you're going to plaster their face in front of viewers, otherwise you could bring a whole chunk of the production down.

You'd be strange if you think they could play the same role in the story. Mashu was the same as Roman, she's parallel to him in some ways. He treated her like a daughter, he saved her from the storage tank, and after hearing her words against Goetia he decided to take action. Half the story was about her developing into a human when she was a blank robot at first, kinda like Roman. They both also only had a limited time but saw it in a different way.

You can't really inject random perfect mary sue knight and it be the same. Mary Sue knight can't develop, he can't go through character arc, he doesn't connect with Roman at all, or Guda. He'd just be another servant like the others. Mashu was important for the story rather than just a source of power.

The problem with your argument is that you're looking at the MC in the prologue, where they were straight up at their blandest. About all they had going for them was a lot of snarky dialogue choices in response to Olga's exposition, but that all got cut.

The F/GO MC doesn't really start to become their own person until Camelot, MAYBE America. It was really obvious when Nasu took over more control because your character actually starts doing things instead of passively standing by.

Honestly, I don't know why they didn't just skip ahead to the good parts. Nobody likes the initial parts of F/GO, and the writers are on record saying they phoned it in. It's not even like very much happened, you could do a quick summary of the first six chapters pretty damn easily.

Solomon died because he was human and he was given all the omniscience and omnipotence that comes with it, but none of the freedom. Goetia had freedom and hijacked Solomon's body. While Goetia only saw life as worthwhile because it never ended, death made everything meaningless, so couldn't deal with the pity he felt. He felt pity because he thought himself superior while Solomon never did. He loved humans.

The Beasts love humans too. That's also brought up in the final chapters of Solomon. It's because they love humans so much that they threaten to destroy it, and their indignation and rage is born from said love. Malice is a fleeting emotion compared to that.

But your point still stands. Solomon saw humans enough as they were and wanted to be one as a sign of his love, while Goetia wants to make a new humanity as a way of conveying his love towards them instead of seeing endless despair.
