Extra was an enjoyably fluffy VN with a memorable bunch of characters and some fun, truly Nasu-esqe weirdbuild- I mean worldbuilding. The sections of dungeon grinding that were made either extremely shitty or somewhat interesting (I fall into the latter category, though I'll admit, it's not really good game design) by the rock-paper-scissors mechanic, which could be mitigated by grinding out more and learning the enemies patterns.
I enjoyed it.

Nope, that's a lie. He did his best trying to quell the fire (he gave out the orders personally), and later he spent a lot of money rebuilding the city.
The problem here is that Nero made a lot of enemies when he was alive. Christians hated him, the Roman elite hated him, and they tried to deface him after his death in every way possible. In actuality he was a decent emperor for a while, normal people certainly loved him (and so did the Eastern provinces). He had problems of his own, mostly related to his weak mental health later in life (and the Great Fire of Rome fucked him over BIG time), but he was no Caligula, that's for certain. Actually, Nasu's portrayal of Nero is not as far removed from reality as you might think. He was not a bad guy, he was simply an eccentric artist put in charge of the greatest empire in the world. And he was also a pacifist - Nero hated the sight of blood, probably thanks to Seneca.
