Just a few things:

You go to Babylon to stop the goddesses alliance that want to destroy humans. There you encounter Enkidu first but he turns up to be a fake, it's someone possessing Enkidu's dead body (this tips Roman about who is this "Solomon") called Qingu/Kingu. Gilgamesh (Caster) has summoned a lot of Servants to fight the goddesses, including a projection of Merlin. There's some filler and foreshadowing, remains lightheartened and fairly harem-ish where you defeat the goddesses or persuade them to join you until the part you travel to the underworld to rescue Gilgamesh and bring him back to life because he died of being exhausted in general. Anyway, you kill Gorgon who was trying to do this Apocalypse against humans and foolishly awake the second Beast, Tiamat, sin II of "regression", nega genesis. This is the fellow beast "Solomon" tossed a Grail at to use.

Anyway Tiamat pretty much wastes most of Uruk and everyone including Gilgamesh's loyal secretary Siduri is turned into her monstrous children. From there is an uphill battle to fuck Tiamat up. Gilgamesh dies again to save your life, but returns as Heroic Spirit in the Afterlife to Ea Tiamat (who has gained a concept of Death thanks to King Hassan). It's got a general adventure tone and more or less a bit less serious. There are good moments like Kingu's realization of his love for Uruk and rebellion against Tiamat, even if he's not Enkidu, he realizes he wants to protect Uruk, his people and be with Gilgamesh, he sacrifices himself to become the chains that drag Tiamat to the afterlife. Or Merlin slipping through Avalon to help in the end.

The hints of Roman being more what it seems are very obvious. He acts more serious than usual in contrast to Merlin. Gilgamesh has some kind of mad respect (for his standards) for Roman and out of blue asks him his plan, counsel and shoos everyone to speak to him and do strategy in private. Ishtar is shocked Gilgamesh treats Roman as kind of a peer. Roman also gets set up as "Solomon" opposite and gives Mashu a really wise and touching advice after she has a nightmare with "Solomon" trying to pass as Roman. He explains what's the value of living and history. Fou's foreshadowing he's a Beast (actually Primate Murder, Beast IV) is here too.

It if serves any comfort, nips are speculating he'll be in Extella 2 or something because the butterfly representing his soul was seen flying toward the Moon in the PV. But I'm not sure if Extella is any better than FGO. FGO had brilliant moments and others which were trash. The good things were really fucking good. Roman is great. Roman was the real Solomon. During the Fuyuki's Grail War, Olga's father summoned him as Caster and they won the war, pretended Saber and their Master won so nobody would be after Mauricebilly's money (he wished for that). Nasu wrote America, Babylonia, Camelot and most of the last Order (the main story chapters with Roman). He loves it a lot, he decided since the beginning of the game that part 1 would be about Roman/Solomon, even envisioned his story with "Scrap" from Maaya Sakamoto. Just like another anon said above, he's really one of the best well-written characters he's come up in years and is a shame some are missing out because of the platform (plus some orders were filled of bad writing like some events). But at the same time it wouldn't have the same crushing impact if he hadn't been with us for over a year of adventures, silliness and shared moments to feel the loss.

Leaving aside the fact that the text and the images NEED coding to present themselves like you see in the visual novels (TM has used th kirikiri engine since Tsuki-bako, and Mahoyo has a lot of coding for every damn effect for the text and images), it's not that easy to do a game with a lot of text and arrange it so it makes sense.

Also, it's not that easy to make every design for every thing in the novel. Mahoyo has around 35,000 images (and a lot more which are the ones I don't wanted and just discarded with everything in their folder), going from character faces, to some random tree from the forest.

And everything needed to be coded for the images to look like they do, which is different to most visual novels out there (that's the reason why it's called kinetic novel). Just take a lot at the code for a simple part from Mahoyo, the "All About Ploy #1" accessed through the menu. It's pretty short in game, and very simple, but it has a lot of code for every effect on the screen. So, it's not that easy as you think.

Another thing to consider would be the plot. Making the game could be easy, but the plot comes from Kinoko, and if he isn't making any progress with that, there's no way that they can make it or even with the engine if there is nothing to make with it.

French Bread' staff did state that the Tsukihime Rebirth project had started around June 2011.

From every work, only Tsukihime feels "incomplete" as most of the story from it (and this was told by Kinoko) centered too much on the heroines, and left aside the inner workings and mechanics of the world (we see proof of this when he later released rakkyo, which contains the most info about the world than anything else).

Tsukihime has the most plot points without desciptions or explanations, like the 6th System that Zepia wants to reach, the Aylesbury ritual, the will of the planet and whole lot of shenanigans that he simply hasn't addressed since 2001, barely mentioning them in character entries, random comments inside the game's files and/or random rants on their blog, with no further explanation about them.

It kind of doesn't matter. Sakura is loved and associated with love a lot of the time. Dark memes and all that aside, she has endured through the years and has many fans that are just loyal if you read the reactions for the polls and see the sheer amount of love put into her fanart and birthday art. Amazing fact is she is one of TM's not just Fate's beloved characters even without a lot of exposure.

Noriko Shitaya, her VA, getting married and being confirmed pregnant when she got the green light for the movie was a great thing. Also seems to have no issues working even after giving birth, we never even see news of issues with roles.

It's ironic that of the three main VAs, she just casually has a family together without much fanfare. Shitaya is also pretty cute that she honestly likes Shirou, while Rin and Saber's VA seem pretty ambivalent to the redhead.
