Jesus gintama got pushed to the back. Looks like it's about to end soon... hope it's not rushed.
I can see Sorachi being like Hiramaru from Bakuman and crying about working on it and waiting for the evil editor to go away.

I wonder if this is the beginning of a round of two to three new series or just a single new serialization to fill World Trigger's empty seat?
As for the series itself, it reminds me of Seven Deadly Sins, just from the art style.

This arc in general has been really bad. Instead of focusing on Utsuro Sorachi thought it's a good idea to introduce a new villain out of nowhere. Hope this shit end soon.
Oh, okay. I liked that chapter well enough, but something tells me the nips voted it up for chapter one pretty boy return alone like the shit taste faggots they are. I hope he doesn't become too prominent, I like the broventures
I feel both Amalgam and Number One will survive the upcoming round and will die the round after. Jump has been running 2 or 3 one-shots every week since Red Sprite ended and World Trigger went on hiatus, unless they want to keep printing several one-shots a week, they can't cut any series even when the two new ones premiere.
Hero Academia c114
That's the Toga reveal chapter isn't it? It was a good chapter but that's still a higher rank than expected
If the Deku vs Bakugou fight ranks higher than the Twice chapter, Japan will be confirmed for shit taste.
Almost any week OP is absent or has CP MHA takes first, and even a few weeks when OP is ranked, it's not a statement on the popularity of that particular chapter but the incredible popularity of the series itself.
Average over last 8 weeks
01.28 One Piece
02.69 Hero Academia
03.88 Black Clover
06.00 World Trigger
07.77 Kimetsu no Yaiba
07.79 Sesuji wo Pin!
13.43 Red Sprite
14.00 Love Rush!
>04 Black Clover c85
Editors need to chill the fuck off they can't keep giving this shit so much special treatment if they listened to the readers that shit wouldn't be past 16 chapters! Don't they have the Internet can't they see that the majority of their readers despise this disgraceful uninspired piece of bull shit
Average excluding finished series
01.32 One Piece
02.66 Hero Academia
03.89 Black Clover
05.91 World Trigger
07.84 Sesuji wo Pin!
07.99 Kimetsu no Yaiba
Samon continues its bottom 5 streak from the battle arc. At least the editors seem to be understanding that it's not the readers rejecting the series but that arc because they're giving it color pages and extra pages next issue.
Guys, help me out. Do any of you know a manga about a guy lost/dropped to the lower level of dungeon? He drops because he was figtinga behemonth or something. He eats the monsters to get stronger and acquire skill.
>Don't they have the Internet can't they see that the majority of their readers despise this disgraceful uninspired piece of bull shit
It actually sells pretty well, and an anime has been announced recently, so there's no way it's getting axed anytime soon.
>Editors need to chill the fuck off they can't keep giving this shit so much special treatment
Every ranking every week is editor manipulation. Otherwise OP would always, always be first.
>Otherwise OP would always, always be first.
I'm not so sure, if I were a reader, I'd never vote for that or MHA or Haikyu, just because as a voter, I only have 3 choices and voting for them would be wasting it. Those big series are absolutely safe and my vote would be better cast to save a manga that I might enjoy less than them but still like and want it to survive.
>Every ranking every week is editor manipulation. Otherwise OP would always, always be first.
not really, op volumes sell better than the magazine which means the majority of OP reader don't buy the magazine and don't vote
if you check out the number of votes in popularity contests you can see that series like World Trigger have more people voting than One Piece
How do you figure? All I said was that BC sold well enough to be safe and OP's popularity would eclipse all other series if the editors didn't manipulate the rankings every week.
That's a fair point.
I meant the thing you replied to, it came off like the one black clover fan here trying to rub it in people's faces that the series is popular in spite of people complaining online
It does not make much it is not any where near the yearly list and it gets color pages every week and the rankings aren't accurate but the decaying series will in the back and the popular series are going to be in the front but staying there consistently is all the editors choice especially for a shit series like Black Clover
next week oneshot is by Fushimi Kousuke
the same guy that did this oneshot
Why is kimetsu no yaiba so unpopular in this world? No one talk about it and I don't see it going for more than a year.Jump is in very bad shape now. Years ago you will never see a cover for a manga that don't sell at least 100k.
other than obvious baits, no one said it will be axed
most people said it was generic but will succeed because Jump won't have a romance when Nisekoi end nor do they have a full-on ecchi manga
which was fair
That swordsman from chapter 1 and the new butterfly girl are dominating in terms of fan art
Nips love the edge I guess
I wouldn't say he isn't edgy, he's more like a rulesfag and doing stuff by the book
he let Nezuko go in ch 1 after he saw she didn't lose her mind and defended her when butterfly girl tried to kill last week
>Don't they have the Internet can't they see that the majority of their readers despise this disgraceful uninspired piece of bull shit
4chan isn't japan. It doesn't even get as much hate on 2ch or in japanese forums in general. It also sells well and is getting an anime. I doubt that's all fake and it's just editor pushing.
What does anything I said have to do with BnHA? I could just turn it around and tell you a manga that did even better than BnHA in it's first year but that also has nothing to do with my point.
Supposed to be issue next week. Someone just got super advanced release.
Last issue of jump in pic related says Jan 7 Japan time at bottom right
Like 5 new characters in kimetsu
I like the designs
Krone has the Number 18684 and knows nothing about the demons. Isabella is 31 years old (as said in the Volume 1 Extras) and she was born in 2014. Emma is surprised that Mama was born before the book they read, but still grew up in a farm. Neither Mama nor Sister come from ‘outside’ as they are adults who survived the farm system. Emma thinks that there is a chance that Minerva who wrote the books is still alive. Mama makes her move: 'It’s about time now.’
I think that in the year 2001 the audience that lived the golden age spoke the same thing.
>Years ago you will never see a cover for a manga that don't sell at least 500k.
Times change, man. Get over it. Jump is not in bad shape. It is the industry that has fallen as a whole.
I mean it wasn't even a zenitsu chapter
JAPAN FINALLY GOT SOME TASTE
The World Trigger app's main demographic seems to be women in their 20s.
I wonder how 1 to 1 that is with the manga demographic
That clearly shows males in general are the majority. Just because a bunch of crazed fujos like it doesn't mean the rest of the fanbase doesn't exist.
56,85% of the players are male, which means the main demographic is male.
Why jump/shueisha don't serialize this? It was a fun one shot and from a veteran mangaka.
>saw a one shot called canvas on last week's issue
>decide to check it out
Man, I wish some of these one shots were translated.
Whoops wrong image
This page had me in stitches
So how fucking long has this battle royale been going on for Boros and Carlos to have just been given powers? Do they all have to wait politely for the full 108 demons to be revealed before fighting?
Also the whole thing with factions was the main limitation of the highlander part of this plot.
"Uhhhh only one person can win, so why would anyone group up?"
"Oh, there's demons that are so powerful everyone has to team up to beat them."
"But that doesn't really make a lot of sense- you're just kinda offering your back to the people you team up with. Also it doesn't make any sense that the powers granted by the demon's plan aren't balanced in some way."
"No, it doesn't!"
>question is never answered
In Gash you didn't literally die when your book was burned. This is life or death.
You'd think the people with really strong powers that stood out would invite dogpiles from the weaker demons without any factions being made.
>the TLR Killer meme was true
I'm not ready for this
Is it good?
>the free event quests only award the microphones
When I tweeted about how Demon's Plan was shit, some guy replied to me that it was only because I didn't like it, then proceeded to block me when I replied that I actually liked the first chapter.
He had a Shakugan no Shana header too.

By the way here's something from the tank.
That's some good dedication, and probably helps when you're working on WSJ's schedule. He should have put the same amount of effort into creating a good premise and character dynamics though.
shh, kiddies are hung up on the idea that there has to be a "big 3" of battle series even though there's no actual reason that has to be the case. Don't ruin their delusion with silly things like facts
Is this the team of antagonist every shonen seems to have?
The big guy seems cool.
Man seeing mangaka fail is really sad for me.
I thought Love Rush was a lot more unique than previous jump romcoms, MC confessed by chapter 2 and all that.
But eh, I guess not everyone can make it. Or maybe he should try another magazine
I kind of hope they're not, Tanjirou and friends are still rank 10, to skip all the intermediate ranked demon hunters would be lame, because then if a rank 3 or 4 shows up, the audience wouldn't be as impressed. The highest ranks should get more buildup.
the 12 demon moons aren't even really a group, though, they're disorganized and scattered because demons generally don't get along. (I look forward to when the author has to retcon this to introduce a group of super-demons who work together to bring down the demon hunters)
Chika looks like a cutie
I should read World Trigger.
The premise is somewhat unique for a "sports" manga, and the chemistry between the two MCs is simply adorable.
Nah, all he's wearing is that fluffy Halloween scarf over his usual outfit. The "rarest" gem outfits I have are the butler/maid costumes for Miwa, one of his sniper buddies, and Akane.
Yes, read (don't watch) World Trigger if tactical battles and cuties blowing stuff up with armor piercing cannons are your thing.
We had a storytime with Viz volumes a couple weeks ago
That 2nd to 3rd place gap though
At least the MCs dominated the poll together, unlike that Samon feMC who hogged all the votes for herself
It was. He bet his sentient hair horn thing that he would win, and that he'd give it to the winner if he didn't. And then Tesshi won so he had to give it to her.
I prefer Father Mikumo
Technically it was Emi.
I think Samon would've lost anyways, but just not as badly as he did.
We can see the rest of the pillars in chapter 4 along with Giyu and Shinobu, neither of those new characters show up here
The author draws human characters in a simple way by not giving them weird hair colors or characteristics (aside from Zenitsu), so those new characters are obviously
Demons converted to the side of the hunters like Shinobu was trying to do to the spider girl
Neither of them are ranked yet. Neverland slowly fell to the bottom before its first (and high) ranking, while Amalgam was placed around the front to middle of the magazine before its first rank sunk to the bottom.
So if anything, it's possible that Demon's Plan is doing shit while the readers love Ole Golazo.
Why is the Zoldyck Afro Butler who's name I forget appearing?
So how will the new Gintama season be like?
Are we getting more Nobume?
I don't read the manga.
Since there won't be any new series for the next 3 weeks, only one-shots in #8 and #9, and Jump is already struggling to fill pages since World Trigger went on hiatus, Amalgam and No.01 should be safe for the next few weeks. They are currently on their 12th and 11th chapters, and will by issue #9 will be at 15th and 14th chapters, meaning they will have outlasted Love Rush and Red Sprite. I think they will be kept around until they can fit into 3 volumes llike Takuan.
I imagine if Jump had known in advance that Ashihara would go on hiatus, they would have kept around Red Sprite just as a page filler like they're doing with Amalgam and Number One right now. But they decide cancellations weeks in advance, so there was no saving Red Sprite despite it ending 3 weeks after World Trigger's hiatus.
it got extra pages but didn't end, i think that's a good sign since extra pages are usually given out by jump when editorial wants to try and push a series. amalgam was given a small push this week. i think next round will add 3 new manga and will end spring weapon.
/a/'s got a giant hateboner for this for some reason. in actuality it's just an average shonen though. it's not very original, but it isn't particulary horrible.
the art is nice, that already puts it above many other new SJ series.
The thing is, a new series getting axed will end with no fanfare, no color pages and no announcement of the end because Jump knows that it's a waste of advertisement. But for a new, failing manga to get something extra is only a good sign since Buddy Strike, Mononofu, Takuan, Love Rush, and Red Sprite all got squat when they were cancelled, and those were the 5 most recent new series to get canned.
>more like WSJ is a magazine for rookies to try their luck
ths honestly boggles my mind. there is so much unpolished shit nowadays in WSJ. they really are trying hard to make something stick, but i don't think it'll work like this.
i think the fact that OP also was pretty amateurish at the start is what gives them this kind of attitude, but i wonder if it's really the right thing to do in this day and age.
>i think the fact that OP also was pretty amateurish at the start
Pretty much every big manga was amateurish at the start. Even Dragon Ball.
Coming off of Dr. Slump's comedy, that felt like wacky JttW parody adventures for a while
It's actually fucking terrible and it sucks at being an average shonen. It's so barebones it makes anorexics look healthy. There is no plot. There is actually no plot. Author set himself up for success and and he continuously shits his pants. Sometimes he makes it look like he might actually not shit himself but then you realize he has diarrhea. His latest horrendous actions of slapping light novel characters right into the fucking plot made me realize that he's actually incompetent.
But it's pretty so people will overlook it.
Serious arc after serious arc, with some gag enemies in the middle and some small transitory stuff for humor. This formula doesn' work that well though, since it just makes the serious arcs feel slower, although there are still some good comedic moments.
Also, this was announced to be the final season, so it's almost certainly ending right alongside the manga
>Hero Academia c114
>That's the Toga reveal chapter isn't it?
The chapter wasn't all that great, we have seen plenty of better chapters that never got rated this high. No, the reason it took first place was because the Toga reveal and because Toga was wearing different clothes in the reveal. So you can chalk up the No.1 spot to Toga.
I agree that Twice chapter needs to be as high as Toga reveal chapter or else there's going to be some serious disappointment going on in their tastes. That was an amazing week in general
almost as bad as complaining about them everyday.
wait it is just as bad.
>The chapter wasn't all that great
>Deku got his license
>Wrapped up everything in regards to Inasa's and Todoroki's conflict
>I-i-i-i-i-it was because of MUH WAIFU
Don't be a retard. Not everyone is a waifufag just because they point out that a chapters main popularity was due to one character. The chapter was pretty dull and the only thing of real significance was Toga's reveal. In other words the chapter took the spot because of Toga.
>shit that doesn't matter.
Some characters failing and Deku getting a license which was pretty much a given from the starts is not exactly something I would call interesting. We've had plenty of other chapters with similar stuff and they didn't steal the no.1 spot.
Toga reveal was the best part.
On another note every line Mineta says detracts from the chapter, his seiyuu's voice is so horribly annoying that I went from indifferent to being unable to stand him.
