If you thought bishoujo art was homogenized bishounen fujobait art has it beat hands down. There seem to be like maybe 5 design types that are rotated over and over again with practically no variation that the fujos just eat up. Feathery haired creepy smile dude, stoic asshole looking guy with glasses and lanky frame (I think this might be the most popular one), the sort of younger looking "comic relief" dude in boy shorts and loose tank top both of which he's clearly too old for and the barrel chested tanned muscle armed dude with short spikey hair. That really feels about it and you can see this cast design in virtually every otome game, male idol anime and even FFXV. It's also hilarious that character designers have gotten to such a low point that they can't even reconcile the moe bishoujou and moe bishonen look anymore. Like the industry better be careful if it's current talent pool of favorite character designers it needs to keep itself profitable ever runs into trouble or loses it's popularity cause the next generation does not look up to the task at all. Big heads and small limbs are nothing new. Actually having lips is nothing new. But overall the character design is super unique and uniqueness is pretty rare in this industry.

I've seen the same moeblob designs over and over again. The same handful of character design elements reused and recycled with a few changes ad nauseam.

I'm honestly exited for this show and am more than willing to give it a chance.

Although all that aside I'm sure it'll still be shit. Plus with this design you know it's not selling more than 100 volumes
