I gotta know dudes,
when and why did you stop watching dubs altogether?
>>151493473
mostly because the incredably small voice pool and the lack of quality. I still take most on a case by case basis.
They have been getting much better in recent years though

I never started in the first place.

>when and why
Both answers are I grew up.

When I realized that manga > anime
>>151493473
In 1998. Tried it a couple of times afterwards, including recently, but the american actors sounded like retarded 40 year olds squeaking like some crazy and disturbed children. It is the epitome of awkward, talentless disney-like shit I ever seen. I'm never going back to watching dubs. Ever.
Also - who would wait for dubs if there is a roughctranslation available within hours to days from the tv release? Even my basic jaoanese is enough for sometitles and waiting fir shitty amerkcan acting for ,months is simply baka and humbug.

i finished mostly but i'm rewatching ultimate muscle because i can't find the manga anywhere and no one has bothered to actually sub it.
the dub is passable execpt for sunshine's voice actor, he was great

>when and why
Basically when I discovered /a/ (2006ish) and realized that there was more to anime than the few shows that get dubs. It only took a few weeks of watching shows in Japanese before I got a taste for it and couldn't go back.

I stopped watching dubs when I found out Johnny Young Bosch was in every single fucking one.

>we need a MC who is "dark"
GEE WONDER WHO IS GOING TO GET THAT ONE
for me it was around 2000 when my dad got me some viz shit when I was 12; from then on I started learning the language and dubs were just horseshit.
