If you have over 1.5 million yen you could get this real life statue of Rem.
Oh also this was just translated: "Rem's very ordinary happy day"
Subaru should be ashamed. Moving a young maiden's heart that much in order to make her lose her self restraint is nothing short of devilish.
Good thing Rem shows how good her self judgment is
until the end
I fixed the 2 bucket lines. Puck and Bucket look a little similar so I mistook it for Puck as my focus dropped gradually over the many hours I worked on it
Every thread until Crusch-sama gets her memories back.
>Oh also this was just translated: "Rem's very ordinary happy day"
In other news, I just started to work helping with the Betty and Rem one.
The beginning seems to be Rem chiding Betty on the messiness of her room.
She did consider her clothes too however, and it came up in her day off. There's also this scene from the first loop.
>[Subaru: It’ll be okay, calm down! Even if I were to get someone involved with damage from occult stuff, Emilia-tan would be the last one I’d involve. Beako would be the first sacrifice.]
>[Beatrice: Why’d you bring me up there? I don’t understand, I suppose!]
>[Emilia: Really? Are you being seriously serious? You’ll make Beatrice your first sacrifice?]
>[Beatrice: You too. What are you saying with your confusion!? I want to beat up the both of you, I suppose.]
>[Rem: That’s right. I don’t get this. The person that Subaru-kun should depend on first for this is me. Beatrice-sama should not be used for this!]
>[Beatrice: Why must I be insulted like this!? This is shameless, I suppose!]
>The arrival of Subaru and the others gets noticed by Emilia, who came to the hall beforehand, and then she raised her voice at them. Everyone else responds to that voice, and Rem rushed over to them.
>[Rem: Good work, Subaru-kun. Leaving Beatrice-sama up to Subaru-kun was the best idea after all. As expected of the person in charge of the mansion’s Beatrice.]
>[Subaru: Heh, I’m embarrassed. Well, this is the least I could do as the best Beatrice worker.]
>[Beatrice: I don’t recall you being the person in charge of me, nor do I recall you being my worker! This is extreme disgrace, I suppose!]
>Beatrice was angry at the two cheerful individuals, but Subaru and Rem calmly ignored her. Beatrice quivered angrily at that treatment, but a small silhouette gently swooped down upon her shoulder.
I love how they team up and annoy Beako this way.
Google translate is giving me a little of how Betty thinks of Rem and Ram too. The translation is as shit as you'd expect, but it's still kind of funny.
>The servant of this mansion, the little sister of the twin sister's rude disgrace ---- Rem.
The pv for the game is uploaded on YT.
Japs are pissed that Rem/Ram reference themselves as "I" in pv beucase they always used "Rem or Ram" when them referenced themselves in anime/novels.
Every thread until Rem wakes up.
Why would I want that? I want one of Saint Subaru-sama
I just realised a thing about Subaru.
His power is that he is quite literally a massive walking spoiler, he is unreasonably obsessed with the not-best-girl, he has little strengths outside the return by death and he was an ordinary japanese schoolboy before suddenly being pushed into a highly destructive world of magic and shit. Now what is Subaru the car maker known for? Massive fucking spoilers, unreasonable obsession with boxer engines, very modest budget by carmaker standards and unexpectedly pushing their ordinary family sedan into highly destructive world of rallying. Suffaru is literally the best car.
In alternate universe my Twitter is full of Ferri X Crusch-sama instead of Juli X Subaru.
Alright. News on the Betty/Rem story. It seems to take place after an Emilia/Ram story where they made Subaru some food with Mayonnaise. Rem's a bit jealous because she wasn't there, so she went to go bother Betty to help her.
Is there? I haven't been paying attention. I sometimes habitually use that after I've been working on something for awhile, but I don't think it's a regular thing for me.
Who does it?
I will. But yes, it seems Rem really is the #2 Betty botherer in the household, and I think there may have been a bit mentioned that she probably interacts with Betty more than anyone besides Subaru. Since she was actually able to go bring a food tray into Betty's room, I think she was actually able to find it. I only have a vague idea of the contents right now. I think they might have regular cleaning inspections scheduled?
I follow people who retweet Re:Zero art. I also can't unfollow one fujo because it has drawn some Ferri.
I think her compensation may be
Subaru removing Sanctuary's barrier thanks to giving support to Emilia, and being able to possess the Lewes Omega in order to escape Sanctuary.
Emilia always tried to hold him back. She was an ungrateful bitch who used his loyalty for her own gains. Rem was a backstabbing little whore who dumped him in the middle of nowhere in an unknown world with just a sack of coins. Subaru did NOTHING wrong.
I dunno, let's see how fast it dissolves into Daphne.
Ferri is so damn pure. I need some heartwarming with Ferri. Him kissing Crusch-sama or something.
>that entire scene and the one where he yells at Emilia after the Julius duel
Satella needs to drop a "you were fucking assholes to Toyota-kun in a billion different timelines and he still got himself mulched dozens of times to save you" bomb on them. At this point I just want to see Emilia go through bloody hell and horrid suffering so she knows what has happened to Subaru.
Not to mention Rem getting knowledge of previous loops where she beat Subaru to death and yet he still helped her would be fun to watch.
That doesn't make sense honestly. Emilia in the true timeline doesn't remember what he did for her and he wasn't the one to ultimately do the final bit of problem solving up to that point. It was Reinhard and Roswaal. He was literally some suspicious random who claimed to be buying back her emblem and shielded her at the right time. He by that point was a recovering servant who had no business or qualifications doing anything political, and even though he was brought along on the trip as a reward of sorts(he didn't need Felix's treatment specifically) he still acted like a spoiled brat.
Emilia is going to prevent her from waking up out of pure jealousy. She's going to realize she's losing the Subarubowl and the only way for her to win is to take out the competition.
Pretty cool that Re:Zero only got beaten by something huge like Jojo.
From her perspective he literally met her at the warehouse just before Elsa attacked, shielded her in the heat of the moment and may've been a thief or spy trying to steal her emblem. She wasn't even sure why he decided to work at the mansion or broke down crying on his second day, and the mabeast incident wasn't even specific to her nor was she present (and Roswaal did all the work once he showed up, his most significant contribution was something personal to Rem). Subaru's loyalty made no real sense to her since it's out of context and it certainly didn't excuse his actions.
If he were truly loyal he could have listened to his waifus and stay put for a couple of hours when asked to. Or not get separated from her by wandering off. And let's not forget he almost died by falling out of the carriage and that's why Emilia was holding his hands. He had a clear three strikes here.
That would certainly satisfy the Emilia = Satella theorists and Rem would be the missing link to this change. However, the vision Emilia was shown involved Rem waking up and we need Aldebaran's subplot to finally come into play.
These people are children.
This country is going to get taken over by children.
She wanted him as a tool to be kept in the background. Like a simple maid. He tried his hardest to stay relevant in her life as her affairs got increasingly grand in scale, but she just threw it away. Despite his loyalty and love. What he did was a last desperate attempt at staying relevant and being more than a simple maid.
He was only in her life for a month and much of that was spent weak from getting chomped on by dogs in Emilia time. He had no other qualifications to prove himself and had no reason to be involved. He also was the one who wanted to be a servant. Just because he wasn't relevant then doesn't mean he couldn't be relevant later. That was completely out of line. Wilhelm and later even he said it was just a front to feel good about himself.
They cut out many scenes involving the two, the most glaring ones being how Subaru says that he can't help but feel his heart beast faster when he looks at Rem under the tree and feels bad for it since he rejected her, and Rem says something like "you know, i wouldn't mind being your second wife" with Subaru replying that if Emilia was ok with it, he wouldn't mind. And the other one where after the tree falls and the whale dies, Rem faked dying and asked Subaru to tell her that he loves her, and he starts to cry and exclaims that he does love her and won't let anyone else have her, only for her to touch his lips and go "just kidding!".
He tells her that if she had really died he would have died as well, and almost kiss, but then Felix shows up and cockblocks them.
And then tragedy strikes and something happens to Rem and Crusch on the way back to the capital.
Anyone got the collection of detailed chapter summaries?
Ok thanks, I didn't see the link.
They're equal in his eyes. He even said they're both #1 where the anime changed it to #1 and #2 (fucking Whitefox) and repeated the sentiment in a few other instances. Everything else is just speculation and/or some personal interpretation that incites a pointless waifu war.
End of Arc 6, Rem wakes up, last page is this but with "Who are you?" instead.
That's painful enough that it may happen.
I expect them to be able to fix her, but it might end up being more complicated than it really needs to, like involving tracking down Ley or some shit. Or maybe they can wake her up and move to track down Ley anyway as the arc boss. Really they've got the main people that need to take a piece of him assembled. If Rem's not awake, maybe her memories can shit talk him while he's losing.
Something along these lines, plus dying or almost dying for him several times helped.
I'd say it's kind of uncertain. The relationship dynamic with Rem is very different from the one with Emilia, to the point where Subaru himself seems quite different depending on which one he's with at the moment. Before the coma hit, it was kind of clear he was a lot shyer and embarrassed with Rem.
People seem to retain emotional attachments even after losing their memories, so that might not be quite so awful as you think.
She does it to look like Ram, who apparently it's the actual owner of the hair style.
She was considering letting her own hair grow out after she fell in love with Subaru though. I'm honestly not bothered by it though.
Well, we also have Ram and Subaru himself as working examples. Ram still feels something when she looks at Rem, and seems to truly love her little sister despite having forgotten her. Subaru feels something for Satella, despite the fact he doesn't remember a single thing she says he did for her.
If Rem wakes up with amnesia, she's still going to have a headboner for Subaru. She's just not going to know why.
Anyone have the comic set where Subaru licks Rem's finger and she debates washing it off, then Ram forces her to do it? Because joke comic aside, that pretty much happened here.
Short hair and peekabangs are both cute and an interesting combo. It's also nice for those moments when it reveals her full face.
What about actual long hair? Like the one from the IF story where Subaru and Rem did run away together.
This is official art by the way.
I don't think that would work because she grew it out like that specifically because she wanted to be more like Emilia. I don't think that insecurity will come into play in the MU, at least not regarding hair.
I think medium hair would suit Rem more. She seems like the type of girl who wouldn't want too much hair to fuss with. She seems like she would be a practical mom.
I like when I can see both eyes, but when it's a giant clump of hair it irks me.
>he just wouldn't be her hero as much.
Well, I'm pretty sure she'd get to hear the tale of a man who traversed great desert full of terrible monsters and death traps, to ascend into the heretofore unapproachable tower of the Sage, all to save her.
As I said, emotional attachments seem to be retained. Even if she forgot his prior deeds, she's probably going to retain a tendency to view him in that light. She'd probably slip right back into calling him her hero, even if she didn't know the history of that title.
I've always thought that she might go with something more Crusch style. In the AU, she's just insecure and thinks she was the consolation prize. In the MU, her reason for having hair like Ram is because she wants to be more like the people she admires, and that was mostly just Ram. However, she started to develop an admiration for Crusch right before the coma, seeing her as an ideal woman even if she wasn't as great as her nee-sama, and Crusch just happens to have long hair.
If she wanted to grow out her hair, that's the kind of look she'd probably aim for.
Rem's not about to let him do that (the IF story requires Rem making an out of character choice in the first place), so he'd have to try running away himself if he really wanted to, so he'd just be alone at that point.
That one Pete fan drew something like that.
This one comes after the one that was already posted.
> Rem was a backstabbing little whore who dumped him in the middle of nowhere in an unknown world with just a sack of coins. Subaru did NOTHING wrong.
That's more than enough money for him to haul ass to Kararagi and start a new life from not quite zero.
He sort of understood why she did it. He really understood once he met the witch cult. He already recognized that Rem and Ram were more of less good people and worth trying to help when he jumped off the cliff, so from his end its not much beyond that. Though there's a bit of aftermath he gets to see in the Second Trial.
Ram is a bully.
Yep. He actually sees the aftermath of that timeline once.
It's right before Lust appears to him as Rem, if I recall things properly. Apparently, he just misses her too much to care that she killed him once.
Evidence points towards her either being Satella or a vessel for Satella. The anime makes this absurdly clear in its last episode too where Satella herself is shown inside Subaru's mind as Emilia's outline and voice.
Unless major shenanigans get involved she can't really be Satella, Satella is still alive so there'd be two of her running around if that was the case. She is certainly a vessel though.
Yeah in the second trial of Echidna. He seemed to accept that he was a stranger to them and that anything could happen after his initial freak out that he was looping again. He also likely doesn't entirely blame them for the loop where he got double teamed by both maids since they made a rational choice even if it was the wrong one. At least now that he knows what the witch cult is this is likely the case.
>there'd be two of her running around if that was the case
Good thing there are absolutely NO SUCH SHENANIGANS in this series
First time when he was wandering around puking in the mansion he got solo'd by Rem.
Second time when he leaves with a stolen kitchen knife to scope out the killer and Rem tortures him, Ram is who cuts off his leg and gives him a mercy kill.
Ram was the one who killed him during Rem's hours long interrogation session.
She whipped him into unconsciousness multiple time during that, and used her water magic to stop him from dying and to wake him up each time.
>They aren't technically the same character.
Here's the author's input on that subject.
>Q: What is the relationship between this Echidna and the Echidna known as the Witch of Greed?
>A: Asking this is just like asking what's the relationship between Emilia and Satella.
Second time. It seems like the anime should have focused on it a bit more since it seems blink and you'll miss it in that adaption. Ram cut his leg and sliced his throat with wind magic. It's also why Rem says nee-sama is too kind after his throat is slit. He figures it out in the next loop when Ram shows off her wind magic.
Do you have a citation for that quote? I've never heard anything like that before and there's nothing in the WN that suggests that the relationship is like Emilia/Satella (whatever that even means).
>could be a product from Echidna herself, much like Puck and Beatrice
This much is already confirmed, at least.
Yes, but there's also a point that's raised when discussing the Lewes clones. Echidna actually did try to copy over her memories to a few of them, though the result was imperfect. In short, we already know Echidna made imperfect copies of her own personality.
From the sound of it, Sphinx might have been one of them: http://rezero.wikia.com/wiki/Sphinx
>Do you have a citation for that quote? I've never heard anything like that before and there's nothing in the WN that suggests that the relationship is like Emilia/Satella (whatever that even means).
Its part of a QA, the author is likely being cheeky by saying sort of something but also nothing at all. He doesn't seem to like to tip his hand and has a lot of fun answering the questions.
>The foundation is the image of a western dragon but since you are overly fixated on that image you might be surprised once the reality is revealed
So maybe the dragon is not just your typical western looking dragon?
I can only imagine how she'd react.
On another note: Does Ram lighten up any more towards Subaru? After the doggo episodes you don't really see her much outside of what lead up to the anime ending.
Oh, this discussion reminds me of something where Echidna said that Betty was for an experiment, and that she left her with that contract to wait in the archive to extend her life, at least until she could continue her experiments. That's what she said right?
Echidna was researching immortality. If she had a way to convert people into spirits, like it seems she did with Puck, why wouldn't she try similar experiments with herself? I think there must be certain drawbacks to being a spirit that Echidna was trying to find a workaround for.
The Echidna spirit might be an experiment of hers from way back, when she was trying to see if she could convert herself into an immortal spirit without any issues.
Could be a humanoid that can turn into a big lizard sometimes or is more like a wyrm or sea serpent than a winged beast. It would make sense for it to be a water based creature if it lives beyond the great waterfall.
Someone start looking up obscure mythologies for the constellation draco to uncover weird dragons
>Q: Even though Regulus has the movements of an amateur how did he win against the sword master Kurgan?
>A: It was because he was fighting against a Metal Mario that has no time limit while there were innocent citizens behind him, even Kurgan will eventually be overwhelmed.
I like the metal mario analogy. It oddly fits.
She always did. Faster than Rem to trust him when he isn't being retarded. Ram just likes to tease him and it can be tricky to tell if she's truly criticizing Barusu or not. In fact, her trust is what prevents Rem from attacking in the mansion arc. He earned her distrust in the second loop by avoiding work (wanted to repeat the same flags by pretending to be as inexperienced as he was last time) and knowing the mansion layout too well. Then there was the loop where he stole and spied on them as a guest. That's self explanatory. In the first and last loops she reports to Roswaal that even though he's shit at his job she feels he's worth keeping and teaching. She does like him in her own Ramlike way. There's also three chapters that lead into arc 3 and tons of sidestories that feature Subaru and the maids.
She was also supportive of Rem pursuing Subaru by the beginning of arc 3, if a little tsun about. But this is mainly to support Rem finally having something for herself rather than liking them as a couple.
Unfortunately, things get tense after arc 3 due to her Stockholm syndrome with the clown and the two bicker over Rem ever since she went comatose, but they also bond over it. They're like a brother and sister pair who only seem to show they care for one another at the most dire moments.
>Does Ram lighten up any more towards Subaru?
There are a few scenes in the sidestories where she's trying to sincerely give him credit for saving Rem and the villagers and helping Rem out with her issues. Then she starts kicking him when he starts moping about being useless and how he didn't actually do anything.
So, she sort of lightened up to him, but also thinks his behavior is frustrating. On one hand, she mentions she's pinning a lot of hopes on him to improve Rem's attitude. On the other hand, she still doesn't think he's good enough for her little sister, and seems to get a little jealous of him at times.
Which reminds me.
Ram wanted to sleep next to Rem in this, didn't she?
>[Ram: I didn’t have good sleep because you haven’t been sleeping with me lately, Rem.]
>[Rem: Jeez, and how many years has it been since you and I slept together again?]
It must seem like Subaru is stealing her little sister away from her. On some level, she really does want her sister to grow independent from her. However: http://pastebin.com/kuRxkWbw
>18. Ram's worst nightmare is Rem declaring independence.
I kind of think Ram has very mixed feelings about Subaru, just as she has very mixed feelings about her sister growing out of worshiping her.
Thank you two.
I'm lazy as fuck when it comes to reading any continuation of a series after watching an anime of it, but I'm pretty eager to find out what happens.
Really hope there's a season 2 in the works.
she does that to block filthy, no taste in superior waifu material, cock gobbling brotherfuckers like you, from her precious sight.
isnt there some shit moeblob pedoshow for you to slobber over somewhere else?
Rem, a freaking oni, can't hold her liquor. That's so adorable.
Three entire arcs. 6 arcs in total. Arc 6 is ongoing. Arc 4 is namek tier and we've been getting near daily translations of each chapter by a kind anon. On 79 chapters right now. Bear in mind this is the WN version. The LNs are streamlining the fourth arc down to reasonable levels
Obsessive and a bit crazy. She has a split personality. The other side of her is the Witch of Envy who is full crazy evil yandere who murders everything if given the chance. However, this "nice" more passive Satella personality is responsible for all her famous evil deeds so she's no angel either way.
puck is somehow related to emilia, when Subie fucked up that one time and emila died, puck lost his/her shit and turned into a giant shadow of the collossus/kaiju/Umibōzu of cold and froze his dumb ass into a shattere popcicle.
The author hasn't explained how the two are related. Their seemingly identical appearances might just be a coincidence.
However, a point seems to be brought up that Echidna hates Emilia's mother, and Echidna generally doesn't fully experience normal emotion. In fact, showing her hatred for Satella is the first time Subaru thought she showed genuine emotion. There's also some other spoilers that have been passed around, like about Pandora commenting on Emilia's bloodline and how it'd allow her to open up a seal. Or about Emilia having some connection to a vast amount of mana, which she doesn't feel is entirely from herself. Oh, and Echidna describes her by a term which is often translated as "Witch's Daughter".
We don't know yet. Seems to be end of story or final arc stuff. If she is it's time travel stable timeloop stuff since they exist separately at the moment. But the last time we thought this with Flugel we were trolled as it was outright revealed and brought up in-story that Subaru looked nothing like Flugel. It's worth noting she doesn't care for Emilia but at the same time has memories of Subaru she shouldn't have if Subaru just came to this world. Emilia could be a constructed vessel or just a very unlucky niece.
>Q: Is there teleportation magic? >(Excluding the mysterious powers of the apostles of the Deadly Sins)
>A: Beako or Ekidna are both able to with conditions attached. Normally it’s impossible though, even for Roswaal.
So for those wondering why Subaru has no plans of going home he would know what conventional magic can and can't do by this point.
>(Excluding the mysterious powers of the apostles of the Deadly Sins)
That reminds me. Didn't the basic Witch Cultists have that thing they did, where they would just sort of appear from the shadows or emerge from the ground? Or am I remembering things wrong?
Where did they get that ability? How does that work? Isn't there also a thing where the mook Cultists speak some kind of incomprehensible tongue? I'm just wondering what the fuck their deal is, since they don't have Authorities or anything. Are there some kind of Miasma-huffing rituals they do to acquire those abilities?
Unfortunately, so many translators are all on arc 4 they left a big hole in arc 3's translation so it's hard to even say if this was in the novels and may only be a cool visual effect for the anime. The next arc to maybe expand on this is the fifth and that's not getting touched until four is done.
It could just be normal yin/dark magic that makes them appear as if they're doing that. It would make sense since high level Beatrice tier yin magic jumps from appearing as if you're teleporting into actual teleportation. So an illusion spell like that wouldn't be out of the question.
It would be nice if a moon reader could clarify.
>It could just be normal yin/dark magic that makes them appear as if they're doing that
Didn't they also do that when Betelgeuse sent them away? What would even be the point?
Also, I think people have mentioned that it really is something they do in the WN. Seeing as how normal people can't smell miasma coming off of people, and teleportation is impossible for most, I think something must have changed those Witch Cultists into something not entirely human. From the descriptions I read, they really don't speak the same language as everyone else either.
Now, all we need is Subaru to start getting abilities like that and reach the same level of power as a mook cultist.
Subaru already has the power level of three bishops, he's just being a pussy about flaunting it.
He can't use it without making his eyes bleed, and the power craps out if he uses it too much. However, it does get easier every time. He probably could reach Archbishop level if he practiced, and paid the toll that practice would exact from him.
Depends on how the spell works. If he sent them away they just went back into stealth mode since it's better to prepare ahead of time. I like the miasma theory since it already makes people murderously violent though.
Aside from Greed being way too conditional right now and Sloth being physically painful and implied SAN/soul loss (seriously, how much more warning do you need?). That's a great way to be put on trial as a cultist and slayed by Reinhard.
>>too much of a pussy to use his megabishop powers.
He basically has to scrape off portions of his soul to buy that power. He wants to still be recognizably human by the end of his adventure.
When comparing his chances in a fight against Julius, he thinks he went from "baby" to "five year old". He's actually able to fight now, but he's not really much good without Betty backing him up.
If he does that, it's probably not going to be very long before he starts chewing his fingernails.
>Aside from Greed being way too conditional right now
Really, what kind of situation do you think will be able to trigger his first use of that? From Subaru's description, Sloth wasn't very easy to consciously activate in the beginning. It's only after he used it more that it became easier.
That conversation between Rem, Roswaal and Puck was kinda confusing, especially after Rem left.
>[Puck: That girl was probably at a place where the wind blew towards, huh.]
>[Roswaal: …...I wasn’t aiming for what just happened right now either, okay?]
What is this supposed to mean?
He has Betty, who does some shadow magic shit with him, and he has a whip which he uses with it. He's also got Invisible Providence, an Unseen Hand that only works short range, that's pretty good at tearing through and crushing shit.
I've also read that he felt something move into him, near his heart, when Regulus died. Regulus basically had godmode powers, so long as he had a duplicate heart safely stored in one of his wives, but Subaru hasn't figured out how to use Greed yet.
For sloth it's summon a very small and limited number of intangible unseen hands. Usually one. It's painful to use and he feels something precious being taken away from him. It's more for utility in the grand scheme of things. Greed stops his heart and makes him almost invulnerable, but it stops his heart so...
Subaru has a permanently fucked gate due to using it a bunch while it was already in critical condition. So no conventional magic for him. He needs Beatrice for that who isn't always around.
Rem gets drunk from the smell of alcohol. She said some very obvious stalkerish lines throughout the whole conversation, especially when Roswaal told her to watch over Subaru. Puck seems a bit uneasy about her attitude throughout it all.
Roswaal and Puck weren't oblivious to how she was taking that order as permission to drop all restraint and go full stalker-mode, and the end of that conversation is the two realizing the monster they just unleashed on poor defenseless Subaru.
I could double check, but those last two sentences make perfect sense to me.
Went and checked this out of curiosity.
If you're talking about the scene where Pete tells the cultists to fuck off and get Rem, the line is:
which is roughly:
>Responding to the screeching orders, the black shadows "melt" into the darkness of the cave and disappear.
(溶ける = "dissolve" / "melt")
I guess you could interpret that either way, but it does look like they can phase through things (if someone better at moon disagrees, please correct me).
The phrasing he chose might be a little awkward, but yeah. Puck thinks she was standing downwind from where the alcohol was, and was drunk when she left. The both of them probably realized she was probably going to go drunkenly molest Subaru or something, which she almost did.
Maybe to make it less awkward he could word it like
>That girl was likely standing where the wind could give her a whiff, huh.
But I have no idea if that's way too overlocalized or not.
He kissed her once, and she thought that made her pregnant. He decided to leave the explaining to the other girls at the manor.
Timeskip to one year later. Emilia still doesn't know what sex is, but she knows kissing isn't how babies are made. There have been no further kisses. Subaru both laments the lack of progress, yet is relieved by it at the same time.
There's that, and he also feels he wouldn't be ready even if she was ready. He thinks he's actually going to need a few years before he'd feel comfortable with it. Which is kind of weird with how eager he seemed in the beginning.
Apparently he wants to keep it at just flirting for now.
Seems consistent of Subaru, really. He was flirty with Felix while he thought the catboy was a catgirl until Felix started flirting back, and Rem leaves him blushing and embarrassed. He has a lot of bark but little bite.
>and Rem leaves him blushing and embarrassed.
Speaking of thoughts of "not going to be ready for a relationship for the next several years" and Rem, that idea never really seems to even be a thing in the Rem AU. Instead he gets Rem pregnant in about the same time it takes for him to land a stable job, some time in their first year together.
After this latest sidestory I'm thinking Rem decided she didn't need to hold back anymore if he was to be her husband and she jumped him.
The way she talks in the Natsuki Rem story, Subaru was actually being quite aggressive himself.
It's kind of odd, since MU Subaru seems to be generally more embarrassed about admitting he loves Rem. Maybe bark and bite have more of an inverse relationship?
Seems fairly possible. So, when do you think he'll learn that Rem's been using her water magic to boost his stamina?
Jokes aside, Subaru really does flirt with just about every girl. He even joked with Rem that he was falling in love with her. It's only after he actually falls in love with her that he gets extremely awkward about the subject and starts stumbling over his words when he's trying to talk about it to anyone else, such as in his conversations with Felis and Betty, at least before the coma happened.
When are these two going to get married already? They're basically a couple already as of arc 3+.
Here is to hoping Rem also daughterus Beako.
Nice things are not permitted to happen.
>2 authorities, 3 if you include envy
>Yin magic with Betty
>Sword and ship training
>Military/fighting experience due to arc 5 as well as a combat tactician
He's still weak compared to others though.
>Wanting him to turn into another Satella
I'd much rather have Subaru go down the path of Wilhelm and become a based that way. Plus what would Rem think of Subaru if he turns into a Witch/Warlock? He's pretty much an Archbishop already.
Honestly I feel like RbD alone is enough to make Subaru conceptually OP and by extension Subaru is presently Very OP, but too caught up in self-loathing to realize it and too protective of his sanity to capitalize on it.
He has a mini-war party of 12-15 individuals running around the Suba- Emilia faction right now. If we aren't counting the 26 Lewes clones he also leads as well.
But he also had to helm an army consisted of multiple factions to defend a Watergate city against a siege of 5 archbishops in the Battle of Pristella. With Reinhardt and other king candidates voting for him to lead the charge.
That's begging for the Echidna AU, and we all know what happens in the Echidna AU. Nobody wants the Echidna AU.
If he gave in to using his authorities he could move up a lot of places in the powerscale. His authority of sloth (while only one hand) has proven to be quite powerful. It does what Subaru cannot, and that can give it various powers such as intangibility and invincibility (able to bypass/resist authority of greed, whom gave Regulus absolute defence and offence). It's safe to say that while the amount of hands is limited, he could fuck Betelgeuse's version up in sheer quality.
In the end its worth though. Although you got to keep reinhardt happy.
Actually I hope tappei touches on him a bit, has to be some downside or depth to the guy besides being the world's most blessed individual. He's always so happy.
Loli-granny is probably one of the most useful assets he has to be honest.
True or he can be a man and become based like Wilhelm.
Which one of Subaru's deaths took the longest?
>Can read the Gospel
>Has friendly relations with Witches
>Can use authorities
>A good portion of the faction he leads are followers of a Witch Cult
Subaru goes on trial before the court when?
Whale letting Subaru go but then getting pissed at stinky Subaru
Rabbit failing to eat unconscious Subaru but then eating awake Subaru
Elsa disappearing without killing unconscious Subaru and then Arlam Meatball Parade
The weird thing is that Minerva recounts herself being consumed by Satella in her final moments. Makes me think her ultimately consuming all of them may have been an attempt to fight a greater threat. Possibly in response to deal with the one who made a few of those traps.
And that would explain why many of them aren't too broken up about her doing what she did. With one glaring exception. Not only does Echidna believe Envy is just an extension of Satella she clearly does not approve of her actions. Could she know something they don't?
This is my current theory too. The greater threat would most likely be
Pandora and Hector. Hector tried to kill Echidna at least once so they were most likely involved in whatever happened back then
I don't even think Echidna hates Satella for consuming the world/witches. There was that part earlier that suggested there was a more personal reason (can't remember the chapter but I think it was in the 2nd tea party)
Even the correct answer would on its own. Here's my completely baseless theory on the events of 400 years ago. Give or take a few details.
>for some reason the witches have a sort of civil war, no clue what they're fighting over
>Hector and Pandora (their cronies too) on one end and the rest on the other
>because organising witches is like herding cats things go poorly
>everyone is self interested or not taking it too seriously
>Echidna, being the resourceful one, foresees a keikaku by Pandora/Hector leading the witches to their untimely demise
>but this only reaches Satella
>Satella decides she'll cut her losses and use this opportunity to absorb their power in a last ditch effort to ensure the enemy is defeated for good
>when Echidna learns of this she insists Satella find a path that can save their friends even if she agrees in part with Satella
>she uncharacteristically resents Satella's decision to finish off her friends and nab their powers
>Satella then rushes to the scene of each incident
>many are at first relieved to see Satella despite being at death's door
>at least she finally came to save them
>but they were wrong, very wrong
>Satella takes in all their power and feels her very being tearing at the seams
>but at least she could win now
>Uh oh looks like Pandora resorted to holding Satella's lover hostage
>looks like he's kill
>Satella loses it
>goodbye half the world
>sealing stuff happens
>Pandora capitalizes on the aftermath
Making Dark Lord is hard, the fire isn't rising properly
>???: “Hey! P-Patrasche-chan, hold... wait! Ahh, hwaah... I-if you perhaps run away, it'd would be a disaster for m... huh?”
>The grey-haired young man, Otto, comes to a stop with an expression of utmost relief as he sights Patrasche. He gives a relieved sigh at Patrasche, then tilting his head as he notices Subaru beside.
>Otto: “Well hello Natsuki-san. What is it you're doing out here?”
>Subaru: “Can't you see, I'm moonbathing. More like what're you doing out here this late Depending how you answer, I'm shunting you over to Garfiel.”
>Otto: “I don't know why you're presupposing that I've committed something improper, but my being out here at this hour with my brow dripping in sweat isn't unrelated to you, Natsuki-san.”
>Subaru jokes around in usual form to gloss matters over. Otto shrugs, shaking his head.
Best bro Otto is back
If you mean phase 3 that was just a scan over for blatant typos, unwise word choice, and gonk sentences that even I managed to catch like five fucking reads later
Actual revisions to compare old translations to the original text to try and catch mistranslations are moving glacially
>Though he speaks lines and lines of heartless words, acting like a bad person, Subaru knows that he isn't.
>Subaru: “Because, Otto. —You're my friend.”
>Subaru: “Because, Otto. —You're my friend.”
>Otto: “She's disregarding me entirely, well though I mean that's fine. So, she thrusts me aside as she bursts out of the stables. I was disoriented for some little while, but then I truly panicked as I realised that if she escaped outside it would be catastrophic considering my standing, and now here is where we are.”
>Subaru: “And since she came to me, you're relaxed on that front.”
>Otto: “Yes, that's correct. Natsuki-san, did you leave Patrasche-chan with some kind of instructions?”
>Subaru: “No leisure time for that. I didn't even hang out with her 'cept to give her her food...”
>Otto: “If you hadn't then you may have worried her. Considering how she left in such an incredible hurry.”
I wonder why this ground dragon cares so much for him?
Maybe it likes his deep pride?
Maybe ground dragons live for an insane amount of time and Patrasche was "Subaru's" mount 400 years ago
When Rem does it, it's endearing, and you know it.
Shitpister-kun is back again today I see. Congrats on riling up /a/ I guess. You also must be the one getting all defensive over the anime as well. Even though its shit.
She was always one of the top girls
Don't worry, he'll be corrupted by power instead.
Don't mind me just posting true end
You already have a no-tit option you clown-faced bastard
>Don't mind me just posting true end
I just kinda realized, but there's no more (You) when someone replies to you, is there?
>1,000,0000+ Rem doujins
>exactly one Ferris doujin
Pretty sure Rem would slap his shit if Subaru started siding with the woman who destroyed half the world and the organization who destroyed her village.
I'm actually pretty excited to see her reaction of Subaru being able to use authorities.
Hey anons, is it just me or is Petra basically Rem 2.0?
I can't help but thnk that way when looking at Petra. A lot of her behaviors and actions are so similar to those of Rem and Petra is pretty much doing the same thing Rem used to be doing.
>10,000,0000+ Rem doujins
>exactly zero Priscilla doujins
Petra is similar to kid Ram? Would you mind explaining it because I don't really see the similarity between them? Does it have to do with Petra's motivation or something?
Something about her enthusiasm and thinking she's already an adult. My guess also based on things Rem has said is that Ram used to follow Roswaal around more like how Petra does for Subaru before she became really jaded. As for the second thing, Ram had actually killed a bunch of dudes by the age of 7 so she probably has more of a leg to stand on there.
Go away, Ferris
What's wrong anon? Can't handle how much of a pig you are in the presence of royalty?
Now all we need is for Petra to follow Ram's little footsteps and kill a man. That man namely being Roswaal.
But can she be as /fit/ as Rem?
>Can't even remember Rem
>Implying killing the country's best court mage won't be a problem
>Implying killing the owner of a fairly influential family and owner of a portion of land won't be a problem
>Implying the clown is easy to take down
That is not the Natsuki family. This is.
>and Echidna generally doesn't fully experience normal emotion.
She is a like a fucking puzzle, can't fugure that girl out. It's true that she fakes emotions in order to give a appropriate responses to situations, but she has shown to be capable to express real emotion. Even Subaru wondered if he might have been wrong about his statement.
The trick is that she won't feel emotions the same way others do, or in the same situations, not that she doesn't have them. She also can't empathize with others on an emotional level.
I just started watching Re;zero, and it is the same mediocre garbage that most fantasy/Isekai harem shows are. Every episode is badly made and full of stupid moments, the characters are either unlikeable or bland (the girls are just a collection of different fetishes). The show has no balls, it starts out by trying to convince you that it is not a typical fantasy harem show (the mc is not special, he has no powers, no harem etc.), then it pussies out and doesn't follow through on it's promise, instead becoming another bland show about a super special self insert and his harem. Why was this show so hype in the first place?
In his mind it's the same thing, dood
Well for one, it never really goes into Harem, and Subaru is still a weak sack of shit even though he can return after death and try to fix things.
How far did you go? Just know that the anime had to cut out on a bunch of things and somehow removed a few scenes that would have showed a little more emotion from the characters, like Emilia being way more sassy and such.
It also removed a lot of foreshadowing for future events and things that would have connected to the bigger mystery, like the fact that Subaru is not the first one to go into that world, nor is he the only one currently there at the same time, and that this has been going on since a long time ago.
Don't "start watching" and expect to understand everything or get the full scope of things.
Anon, that image if Echidna. Not Satella.
Apparently because Subaru "saved her", or so she says, of course, Subaru has no recollection of doing that.
He also inexplicably feels a connection for Satella, and some form of love when he looked at her, but he thought she was manipulating his emotions.
