This witch comes up, removes your checkpoint and stops you from saving your waifu, and says she loves you and that you saved her.
Every thread until Rem wakes up.
What would Subaru do if he woke up one day to see this?
What if she acts like she doesn't know who he is, but is still trying to snuggle up to him?
We've seen more than one instance of characters retaining emotional attachments even after suffering memory loss.
Anons, I am so in love with Echidna. I want to protect my Witch of Greed smile foreveeeeer. Would contract with her anytime, want to be her guinea pic for her experiments and her greedy search for knowledgeeeeeeee.
I just did a typeset of a little Christmas comic.
Here you go.
Don't underestimate my autism.
How so? I feel like being able to manually slider back along your 4D-timeline and choose the best save-state where to recontinue would be substantially better than random respawn points.
Every thread until Crusch-sama gets her memories back.
Well, if you could set your savepoints to before your last one, then that would be great. If you can't, then it's quite likely you'll save at a point where you're already screwed.
I really wonder what will actually happen if she wakes up. A lot of people say that they would start making out on the spot but knowing this author this will most likely not happen.
It's a mystery. She claims that Subaru "saved her", and did a lot of things for her. Of course, Subaru doesn't remember doing any of that, but for some reason, when he looks at Satella he feels some form of love for her, even though he wants to hate her.
Follow in the footsteps of Ani-ue and save everybody while trying to figure out how to kill her.
I would suspect Satella can control the savepoint at will. It's because she's trying to push Subaru to some conclusion that it keeps being bumped forward. Comprehensive spacetime-fuckery would probably preclude any notion of back/forward/past/present wherein savepoint is concerned.
It's possible that her power has limits as well. Too much time passes and she may be unable to take him far back enough to his old save.
Fall into darkness and become her eternal boytoy.
STILL no doujin
He knows what Earth is like, but has no memories of his own life there. As he has no memories of his own life, it's actually pretty hard to tell much about him. For all we know, he lost his memories at some point well after he was isekai'd.
At the point where his memories begin, he was already in the fantasy world. He actually thought he might be crazy because he knew a ton of shit about another world, but nothing about ever actually being there and no evidence of its existence. He was really fucking happy when Subaru confirmed that Earth actually existed and that he wasn't crazy.
I want a S2 just to hear whatever semen demon voice they'll give her.
The term used is definitely "amnesia". It's pretty clear, since it's a pretty decent-sized conversation and there's nothing much else they could be talking about.
Not sure if it's in the LN though.
In the WN version of arc 3 he sneaks into the castle with the help of Rom and Appa Man. Then Priscilla and Al catch him by coincidence in a random room he hid in. LN saves time of course by merging it.
He has good taste in nee-sans at least.
>He sneaks into the castle in the WN
Is he fucking retarded? If anyone else caught him he'd probably face some real problems for it.
Glad they changed it to Priscilla giving him a ride in the LN. Even if the intention was to see if Subaru would make things interesting.
>The day of the introduction of the royal election
>Bunch of nobles and knights in one place to oversee it
>The five candidates chosen by the prophecy in there as well
I figure they'd restrain him and not kill him, since he was just hiding unlike Rom who actually tried to kidnap Felt. But still, it would have shamed Emilia for Sure since she'd probably hear about it and have to explain herself.
This bishop comes up, retrieves your insignia and embarrasses you at your political debut, and says he loves you and that you saved him.
It was somewhat interesting in that it had more foreshadowing with Rom being involved in the demihuman war since he knew a special entrance. In fact, it makes me wonder why they spent so much time with Rom in the anime instead of the luck competition or Rem beating up the thugs when it didn't have much follow up aside from Felt.
Julius dueled Subaru to save his life because some knights wanted to kill him to restore their honor. Don't underestimate medieval society.
>Dude talks shit
>Kill him to restore "honor"
How does that work? Is it something like "If you let the guy, who clearly doesn't know how to fight, and is just a crazy dude get away with it, shame on your family", or some shit like that? I mean i'd figure the knights would uphold honor, but not on the basis of murdering someone who clearly has no chance even if given similar chances to fight back in a duel.
For the record, in real life terms I think it's a samurai thing and not a knight thing. And the author is basing it on that. Medieval japan was a society that did things like seppuku if you brought enough shame on yourself so this sounds par for the course.
You mean his book has good taste, he's probably disgusted she's not a greedy witch. Like this, but with more clown fucking.
Nah, knights and other nobility would do that too. The mark of a noble was to be allowed to carry a sword and you could use it on randos that shit talked you. Dueling was a noble vs noble thing mostly, you could just smack a peasant up.
>It's just a matter of time until you fall in love with me
From then on for some reason he's really good at giving you exactly what you want before you realize you want it.
That just gives me more questions!
Obviously this guy is stalking me. I guess I'm just going to have to ask a reliable knight to stay over for the night to keep me safe.
Now I'm picturing Rem with a time power of her own trying to woo Subaru. Fear heartboner.
>most effective stalker ever.
Couldn't help but remember pic related
Well, shit. In that case, I better go call my Uncle instead. He's already in town on a business trip.
In a shocking twist it seems your uncle and your stalker are colleagues?
Your stalker invites himself over.
I guess I'll just have to find someone else who can protect me for as long as I live.
I really wonder what that scene is like in the LN. The WN doesn't really have her consider the assault angle, though I have to say it's still in her character to have those kinds of thoughts.
That second part was only in the manga I think, but given some stuff she said about him being forceful I wouldn't be surprised if that were still true.
Then there's all this.
>said Subaru looked like an infant while observing the lap pillow Emilia gave him
>“It appears she’s fallen asleep. The Fannel fruit has a strong drowsiness effect, after all.”
>“I’m not even going to ask what you planned to do after making me honest and putting me to sleep…. Well, at least now I see why you kept the game going.”
>“The fainting…is connected…to mayonaise…”
>“Huh? Yes, I know. Rem will do her best for Subaru-kun. And the dawn…fufu, I look forward to it.”
>She interpreted Subaru’s words as he was fainting in agony, and leaving behind an unusually cute smile, Rem fled the room.
>I love Subaru-kun’s face when you sleep. You become defenseless like a baby and I notice that your eyelashes are a bit long. I touch your cheeks and you become calm, then I play with your lips and you don’t notice
Might've just been in the manga version, she says something about him being able to sneak up on her in her sleep means he could also take her while she was sleeping. Oh, and also that the witch cult can sneak up and murder them, which promptly happens.
He means the manga version of this scene after she noticed Subaru snuggled up to her without noticing. It's not in the wn version at least.
>That second part was only in the manga I think
We'll have to see the LN version to be sure.
Fine. I didn't want it to come to this, but I guess I have to do it.
I run home crying to my cat dad.
The forceful part was said later iirc when Subaru leads her by the hand somewhere so he can propose to run away together. That's probably why they were able to add this other line in since it's not necessarily out of character.
A hero appears!
Your dad is dead!
But it's okay, you're in good, possessive, and loving hands if you ever need a support figure!
Well, it's more like it lowers inhibitions. So yeah. She was probably hoping that lowered inhibitions and a cute girl snuggling up to him might help things progress before she got her chance to watch him sleep. She also tried to offer him a lap pillow during those events, so that seems like it was probably the plan.
>That's probably why they were able to add this other line in since it's not necessarily out of character.
Well, we need to see the LN to know if it even was added in.
When she's taking care of him while he's catatonic, Rem thinks about driving the carriage elsewhere so he could escape the trouble he would likely be in once they arrive at the mansion, and so she can have him for herself. Subaru wouldn't be able to say no if he woke up many miles away from both the capital and the mansion. Nothing she seriously considered though, and dismissed those thoughts shortly after.
I yell at him to leave me the fuck alone. Then I run. Get a hood to disguise myself, and try to return to living my life as a forest hobo.
LIVING IN A FOREST IS MORE LUXURIOUS THAN ANY MANSION WHEN ITS WITH YOU EMILIA-TANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
>Doujin that actually gets the chest size difference right
WOW EXCEPT FOR THE FROZEN DEAD ELVES ITS LIKE WE'RE THE ONLY ONES HERE
HEH IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT THIS IS A PRETTY RACY SITUATION. IF IT WERENT FOR THE DEAD PEOPLE WE MIGHT BE IN DANGER OF FLARING!! UP!!!
THE SNOW MAKES THAT A LITTLE HARD TOO, BUT HEY CHECK THIS OUT EMILIA-TAN. I MADE A SNOWMAN, OR ACTUALLY A SNOW ANGEL! SEE BECAUSE IT'S YOU EMILIA-TAN. BUT WAIT!? DOES THIS MEAN THERE'S AN IMPOSTER!?!?! TRYING TO FOOL ME, TAKING THE SHAPE OF MY EMILIA-TAN!?!?!?
DON'T WORRY EMILIA-TAN, I'LL GET RID OF THEM! WITH MY SPECIAL POWER: MELTING KISS! HIYAH! AH! AAUUGH!? EMILIA-TAN MY LIPS MY TONGUE MY TONGUGE IS STUCK HELP EMILIA-TAN
AH PHEW THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT EMILIA-TAN I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT HOW ALL THE TREES MEAN YOU CAN'T SEE THE STARS HERE. BUT THAT'S OKAY! EMILIA-TAN, YOU'RE MY ETERNAL NIGHTLIGHT! NOW THAT THE STARS ARE GONE, YOU SHINE EVEN BRIGHTER! AUG! OH NO! IF I KEEP STARING I'LL GO BLIND, BUT I CAN'T LOOK AWAY! AUGHHHH ALL I SEE IS WHITE NOW! THIS MEANS YOU'RE BURNED INTO MY EYES FOREVER, EMILIA-TAN!
EMILIA-TAN, IT'S PRETTY COLD HERE. IF YOU'RE EVER FEELING CHILLY, WE COULD KEEP WARM BY SNUGGLING TOGETHER. ITS FUNNY I THINK YOU'D FIT PERFECTLY IF I SPOONED YOU. BUT WE'D HAVE TO DO IT TO CHECK FOR CERTAIN, WHAT DO YOU SAY EMILIA TAN.
EMILIA-TAN LOVE YOU.
There's no way to stop him, is there?
Fine then. I'll agree to be his girlfriend on the conditions that he'll satisfy my fetishes. Specifically, NTR. There's nothing more that I'd like than to have my boyfriend completely ignore me to go run off with some other girl, and for him to act like he completely forgot all about me. If he can't pull this off, then he can't satisfy me.
Well he got killed by Regulus but that was probably because he allowed him to hit him since that was the term of exchange for his hostages, which was a lie. Basically he stopped the blessings that stop him from being hit in the first place.
So i assume that if Reinhard did not wish to come back he would die for real. But that's just my guess
I don't think I've ever seen one where they're the same size. Maybe the one where he starts off fucking Ram without dialogue, but that's full of random continuity errors anyway, I don't think they remembered who they were drawing half the time.
>Subaru struggles and ultimately fails to hide his feelings while getting snuggled by Rem in front of all the mansion residents
Hnnnng whyboner. Do you think her plan went that deep and intentionally devious as to have this happen in front of everyone?
I mean, he already regularly pets her while having conversations with other people, and gluing herself onto him during the alcohol panic story. I don't think it was particularly subtle.
I think the drowsiness would prevent it from going too far, though who wouldn't want a doujin where he's under the influence and starts taking things a little too far and feeling her up in front of everyone?
But in this case Rem might be interrogating him about his feelings more directly since he can't deny them or beat around the bush. And everyone, including Emilia, will hear it.
Look, there's one simple way to tell what Rem's strategy was. She probably didn't realize she switched the cups until later, and might have thought it'd just take a little while for everything to set in.
So, what does she try to do? She gets his heart racing by snuggling up with him for headpats. She later offers him a lap pillow when it looks like he might need a break. She keeps trying to use the King's game to get him closer to her, to make him hug her or kiss her forehead.
Her plan was essentially "lowered inhibitions + close physical contact with Cute girl = ?????". Basically, she was trying to make it very easy for him to make a move on her, rather than trying to interrogate him.
Well, I'm not sure how well I read that line. You should be able to see it soon.
It might be non-H, with various characters consulting with her.
If you really want to make it better, you have to have Subaru accidentally catch Rem with the panty-stripping order, which she seemed more than willing to follow through with if she had received it instead of Betty, and then have her offer a lap pillow at the same point she did in the original. Which was immediately after that order, though something might need to replace Betty's force blast.
>everyone calls Roswaal-sama a wife beater who doesn't deserve Ram
>no one calls Satella out for being abusive to Barusu
Really makes you think.
I call out Satella, mostly because the line between her and the Witch of Envy seems to be a little blurry to me.
Which one gave Subaru RbD? Both seem to act like it's their doing.
Subaru gave Subaru RbD when he ate the envy witch factor 400 years ago
WoE and Satella double-team to help him manage it from their spot in the void zone as he taps on their power.
Because we don't know who exactly she is yet. Roswaal is the most irredeemable sack of shit you'll ever come across, even his logic is detestable. Satella on the other hand is ambiguous at best.
Plus she hasn't bathed in 400 years so who can blame her?
Merry Chirstmas all! Remember to worship your favorite Oni today!
Merry Christmas, I will worship mine with all I have
You seem to be have posted a hornless, red-haired, small-chested, impure Oni with a horrible temperament as opposed to a blue-haired goddess. It's okay! We all make mistakes! Just remember to correct it by your next post!
I'm not him, but how could you say that about Ram?
I don't have enough Ram pictures saved. Think you could help me out?
What is with Ram that makes her so hot?
Ram is a very nice girl for plebians, but she is merely an impure mortal not worthy of your affection. Unlike Rem.
Rem it's okay! It's not your fault you're best girl!
>Implying Rem isn't an impure mortal as well
>Implying that isn't why we love her
If you love one you gotta love both.
What does /a/ see in the future of Subaru's daughterus?
Japan please! Stop cockteasing us!
>Su- I mean Emilia faction
Hey. Emilia does things. She passes the trials and wins the loyalty of the inhabitants of Sanctuary.
Though it kind of seems that Subaru has done more political work than Emilia, doesn't it? He's always the one who gets the different factions to work together, and deals with all of that kind of tricky shit.
Apparently it's not.
Subaru seems to be the one running the entire faction rather than Emilia at this point, with most of the camp joining because of Subaru rather than Emilia. I'd be nice if it wasn't so one-sided. With Subaru heavily dealing with politics and Roswaal as well now.
>Pure love vs. Prostitution
Not the same thing anon, Rem loves for love and Ram just wants to keep her job and get some mana boosts.
I cry when chapters reference things I have no idea about
>From a glance, the WITCH OF WRATH Minerva would be the witch of sin who was easiest to like— you could even call her a harmless witch.
>The entirety of her actions are only healing, and to enumerate number of lives she saved during her lifetime would require more than a 5-digit number.
>—However, the one that brought about casualties of equal measure was also Minerva.
>So where does she get the mana for her attacks? The answer is simple: she steals it from the nexus of the world.
>Ordinarily when people use magic, they inhale the mana in the atmosphere through their gates, convert it into magical energy, and again release it through their gates to cast magic.
>In Minerva's case the gate isn't the atmosphere, but a direct linkage to the core of the world. Said in more complicated terms, the core of the world is a supernaturally great concentration of mana —call it the place where mana is created. Minerva's attacks withdraw mana from that, converting it into strikes of healing.
>Though continued repetitions of this act, mana which should be provisioning someplace in the world becomes unable to reach it. With a starvation of the mana which is important in constructing the world, an extremely dangerous possibility spawns for these unsupplied regions to suffer natural disaster and calamity.
>The number of people Minerva had directly punched into health exceeded five digits.
>—But the number of lives she had indirectly snuffed by bringing about natural disaster was on equal par.
>And so the WITCH OF WRATH Minerva was the witch most regarded as dangerous, and considered an enemy by every nation.
Minerva didn't deserve this shit
Minerva gets mad, Sekhmet entertains her conversation, Daphne comes in with teasing, Camilla
soothes Typhon so that she doesn't explode, Echidna watches on happily from aside—and Satella
watches over them, smiling at the safety of the six others.
Those were the days from four hundred years ago, never to come again.
Satella went mad from the witch factor, Minerva died insane in a trap, Camilla burned to nothing in
a great fire, Daphne wasted to death in a sea of sand, Typhon drowned in a flood, Sekhmet fell
down the Great Cascade as she decimated the Dragon, Echidna gathered their souls and yet remains
bound to the present world in soul only.
This was an imperfect reproduction of those forever-gone days.
Camilla: “Y-you look, sad... Echidna-chan. You look, very... sad.”
Echidna: “Hm? There's no reason at all for me to be sad. You're here, and I get my chances to
interact with the outside. —No necessity, at all.”
Camilla: “A-are, you... okay, with that? We're... w-we're just, souls, so... we're not, really us. We're...
mm, al-already... dead. There i-isn't, anyone... really with, you... Echidna-chan.”
Camilla's stuttering words strike Echidna momentarily silent.
—Echidna's power was what gave the witches, lost of their flesh and existing only as souls, their
temporary bodies in the form of mental constructs
So Echidna is lonely.
She's just REAAAAALY tunell vision mode when it comes to healing others.
That can turn into pure love quick enough
All Ram needs is to find the right man is all. What's more vanilla than un-mindbreaking a person?
Wait the Witches are all Echidna's constructs of already dead people? Wouldn't that mean Betty and Puck are as well?
Wouldn't that mean Subaru's daughter is already dead?
Ok so from that intermission we finally got a confirmation. The others aside from Echidna are just dolls stuck in time. Their bodies are gone so they're not capable of forming new memories, and are stuck to their old ways, Echidna aware of the fact, and that they may not even be the "real" witches, or at least, not how they would be if they had managed to live for long enough.
Puck was apparently human, and i think spirits work differently, and so does Betty. They are alive and they can form new memories unlike the witches. We don't know the process of making a spirit, but i doubt it's on the same vein of taking the soul from a dead body and placing it on a doll.
Are we really going into that territory?
>They are alive and they can form new memories unlike the witches
This is true.
Don't underestimate the power of the faction's best dad anon
>Echidna: “You sure look angry, Typhon.”
>Typhon: “'Cause you're not honest—Chidna. Not being honest—means you're a liar? And liars are baddies? Chidna—you're a baddie?”
>Echidna: “I act sincerely in accordance to what it is I want. Telling lies is something I have no present recollection of doing.”
>Echidna's roundabout phraseologies do not work on the young Typhon. Should Echidna get Typhon in a bad mood, she knew that everyone present would consequently be in danger. Condemning criminals and judging sinners amounted to nothing more than a fragment of Typhon's authority of PRIDE.
>But, seeing Typhon puff out her cheeks in assent with Echidna's mental tightrope walking, the next one to speak is a witch buried in a ball of hair.
>Sekhmet: “Hiding your real intentions while speaking—haa—makes what you're saying not a lie— huu. Very convenient for you—haa.”
>Camilla: “E-Echidna-chan... is, is really such... a huge, pain... i-isn't she...”
>Echidna: “You two...”
>Echidna scrunches her face beneath the concentrated attack. In seeing it, the other witches smile.
>The only one whose brows are still peaked low as they watch on is Minerva.
>Sekhmet: "Are you planning to be crotchety forever, Minerva? Of course we'd all be talking together. You knew this'd happen if a sage candidate came..."
>Minerva: “Yeah I know, shut it. I'm saying I agree with having a real talk. Just, unlike you guys I'm not in a position where I can rationalise about it. I'd like you to understand that.”
>Daphne: "For Met-Met who hangs out all the time with Ty-Ty, she wouldn't understand. Everyone just spends way too much of their life on things that aren't eating."
Just what the hell do these Witches know and what are they hiding?
>Minerva: “Do you think he'll do okay? I am soo worried.”
>Echidna: “What would unmistakably go okay was my hand which he rejected. Regardless, he'll be struggling frantically for everything to go well. Doesn't seem he can get the answer yet, though.”
>Minerva: “What is that, that phrasing. You guided him so that he'd reject you, and then you're trying to hide your feelings from us, when we know what you're really thinking That's just pointless.”
>Echidna: “It wasn't really that I was trying to be rejected. —Since whether he declined or accepted, I would've been glad with either.”
>Echidna seats herself at the regenerated table, clicking her fingers to produce a teacup, ferrying the steaming thing to her mouth.
>Echidna: “I affirm choices, and the outcomes of those choices. I don't much think the particulars of how that choice came about as a problem. The reality of having chosen, the reality of having not chosen, those are what is important. Whether the outcome be bad or good, I can brag of my dispositional ability to enjoy either.”
>Daphne: “But that does-n't, mean you don't, have your pre-fer-en-ces.”
Wait Echidna wanted Subaru to reject her contract? Why?
A character who has been killed off could never be relevant
>True, though we don't actually know if there's a connection or not.
We do know that the artificial spirit Echidna was created by witch Echidna, so there's definitely a connection. What exactly is still a mystery.
Fucking Tappei. Am I wary of Echidna or am I meant to see her in a good light?
I'm confused. Did she end up getting compensation for that last meet up or did she actually feel emotion for the suburu mobile?
Regardless I still feel bad for her in that in a way, she's just using the mental image of her friends to pass the time. I think having suburu at the very least was a sort of light in that he provided fresh stimulus to the ever consuming greed.
How many years has it been since the last challenger?
I'm more concerned about the talk about a "sage" and how apparently the witches are involved in it, and having done so previously, most likely 400 years ago i assume.
I wonder if Sages are people who use witch powers since apparently Flugel smelled like Subaru.
Lemonwater is presently on the last part. Fantastic.
>I wonder if Sages are people who use witch powers since apparently Flugel smelled like Subaru.
I wonder if all Isekai'd people are "Sage Candidates".
I agree but I feel like thats a topic where we have to wait for more tidbits and snips.
Wouldnt the archbishops be considered sages if that were the case? Heres something I'd like to consider.
What if sages are all individuals from beyond the waterfall that gain connection or powers to a witch?
I mean all we have alive and kicking right now are Al and Suburu; so I hesitate to say that its powers refering to time. If all outsiders have powers related to time from outside the waterfall, wouldn't that sort of make them witch male equivalents?
Beat me to it.
>Lemonwater is presently on the last part
Wh-what is it about?
Well's thats true but I dont think even witches would refer to someone as a sage just for that. They live pretty long lives for something so cute.
That and they said Suburu wasn't there yet, so in terms of having powers and bringing knowledge which he has in both; its not the condition for qualifying for sage.
Maybe it has something to do with entering a specialised contract or relationship with a witch? I'd like to say maybe it has to do with his ability to resist and absorb witch factor as well.
You didn't think you could figure out the heart of a young maiden so easily, did you?
Missed any details of a warlock whilst I was reading. Or is that in future arcs?
Possible. But then that would lead to the question on what exactly having all witch factors leads to. Satella went mad from hers or so I assume, would he just become a container to hold these or maybe become the evil lord like we memed ages ago.
Hope he doesnt pull a Satella tried doing this but wasnt a candidate so it failed sort of deal.
Maybe by having a full blown sage its possible to kill him and have the world rid of all witch factors entirely. Which may give purpose to isekai otherworlders existing here in the first place.
She's a q.t. and a maiden i'll give you that.
Spin off series like Spice & Wolf with her and suburu when. Hell i'll take even otto at this point.
>having a full blown sage its possible to kill him and have the world rid of all witch factors entirely
It feels like having witch factors would give you at least three forms of immortality.
I'd say sealing is a more likely route than killing
What if Beatrice's original purpose was to make the sealing space for the sage, but the plan got upfucked
Ah right, I assumed it might be him but I only got minor info on him based on prior threads. All these fucking questions popping up. I wonder if Tappei even knows for some of these.
Pretty sure subaru won't end up pulling a satella. I mean he got infected with the dragon aids but it only made him stronger. He has a lot of compatibility with the authority stuff, even though it seems weak.
He has to eat seven though.
People have pointed out how Subaru tends to strongly represent all the sins, but tend to struggle on gluttony. Maybe he'll have kind of shitty affinity with gluttony.
He's started seeing dead people. He feels it eating away at his soul and sanity as it becomes easier to use and rely upon the power they give him.
There's no reason to seed that plot development unless he's meant to start going crazy. Even if we look at all of the Witches who were compatible with their Authorities, they're all blatantly insane in one way or another.
Thats a possibility but that poses questions on how far flugel might have gotten and what his involvement was. But I kind of feel its a what you see is what you get sort of situation; i.e. its a repository for information that Greed collected over a lifetime for reference. Once you get your hands on something I would assume out of greed you don't want to let go either.
Ah good, I find endings the hard part as a write-fag.
The fact he's compatible is something I wonder applies to him only or all isekai'd. But we don't know enough Al besides him being an answer to one of the three great mysteries of Re: Zero.
Him having an issue showing gluttony might be a thing. He doesn't seem the sort to just consume/want things without some semblance of thought behind it and Japanese culturally are fairly reserved and Suburu besides his emotional outbursts towards Emilia from time to time seems the type to not want to show that side.
Greed, Envy, Pride and Sloth are easily apparent.
Fuck I feel like i'm judging the poor fucker now.
So technically he doesn't have much time as "suburu" left?
>So technically he doesn't have much time as "suburu" left?
Well, his condition has definitely progressed significantly. Usually he only sees Satella when he dies, and sometimes senses her when he tries to share the secret. The last time, he wasn't dead at all. He was just unconscious. He no longer needs to die to go into Satella's dreamworld.
Lately, he's also noticed that it's become a lot easier for him to use Sloth, and that makes him nervous. He still feels it shaving off a piece of himself every time, but now it comes easily. In Arc 6, he really is using it a lot more frequently, and not just as a last resort.
But really, Gluttony isn't as hard as you might think. We can joke about mayo addictions, but let's leave that as a joke. Our three Bishop buddies aren't trying to fill their stomachs. They're trying to fill a very different emptiness. Ley starves for chivalry, hope, despair, love, joy, triumph, and whatnot. He wants these passions to fill the emptiness inside.
So, does Subaru have an insatiable emptiness inside that he tries to fill in? Actually, that just reminded me of Ram's quote from the beginning of Arc 6.
>[Ram: I’m all too familiar with the depths of men who lack composure. Barusu’s especially is one that has an open hole where your contents are being poured out, so you should be careful. To have people become aware of your depths and then finding out you’re empty inside is the worst.]
Maybe, and I think Suburu is like all neets and wants to fill the void in his life with purpose. Or like we saw from his talk with [not] Dad that he wants to be acknowledged.
I always get confused on the boundaries of gluttony and greed. Very easy to confuse the two for me.
You're right now that I think about it. I'll give it to Suburu at least that he has managed to incite conversation and emotion out of all the past witches. I don't think any of us would get many of them that interested.
Oh, and speaking of Authorities, how did Echidna describe Subaru's Greed? Striving to protect everyone and move forward, while also preserving his own heart?
I can see a variant of Regulus's abilities being described in that manner.
>you will never sleep with Carmilla using her authority
>she will never say she doesn't like you
>you will never realize it's because she dislikes slutboys who NTR their waifu and get boners over her authority instead of her
You can't win with her.
Gluttony traditionally focuses on physical over indulgence rather than Greed's mental and how it can damage the body instead of the mind. It does have mental aspects like dining at expensive places that prepare overdone art piece dishes is a type of gluttony and so is the opposite end of the spectrum where you eat and multitask instead of taking the time to have a proper meal. That's a super paraphrased version though.
Well, he's actually on the editing stage now, so it's probably not too long until it's done.
However, I will say just one thing. The ending is fantastic, but I don't want to spoil it for everyone. I usually don't think this, but it's better if it comes as a surprise.
I am 100% certain this applies to him and would certainly apply to any type of suffocation.
My art folders aren't properly organized, but I found this one quickly.
It could just be a justification for why subaru doesn't abuse his hax authorities to solve everything instantly, he recognizes the risks and chooses not to use them because going insane for power isn't worth it when you can just loop
>It could just be a justification for why subaru doesn't abuse his hax authorities to solve everything instantly
He hasn't gotten to a point where they're hax yet. They're just a bit useful, but overusing them is extremely painful. The thing is, Subaru is very much overusing them.
All the witches are like that. They are walking natural disasters.
What are the chances Satella killed them to save the world from their presence? We know it's not Envy but Satella that is responsible for their deaths.
Well Satella also "consumed half the world", so if that was the case, I guess her plan didn't work out too well.
Wasn't it made quite clear that was Satella?
Not I really wouldn't call it hax yet as he can't kill much or any of the things he's combating. Even if most of the things he is fighting against are raid boss-tier
Get mad at it because it was a an ok adaptation with butchered plot and characters while also not including the real ending.
doublechecked it to be sure, and Echidna definitely says it was Satella. (from ch76)
>Echidna: “The consuming of half the world, and the consuming of us six witches of sin, was entirely by SATELLA's actions, not the WITCH OF ENVY.”
There's hardly enough Oni kissing.
We need more.
Kind of. Someone was explaining bits here and there while dumping the images. They skipped about 10 chapters, Subaru presumably kept both eyes in the assrabbit loop (LN art), Elsa holds Petra hostage, and Ram seems to have gone to the mansion to get her ass kicked by Elsa this time around. Also note Frederica has her own minor beast transformation. Volume ends at the start of the Envy sperg out.
I've heard various things from reading random twitter/2ch posts, but obviously that's not 100% reliable. From what I can tell though there are quite a few things changed.
When there are reliable spoilers or when the raws get scanned I'll make a new pastebin or update the old one (unless someone else does it first)
Too tired to hunt it down myself honestly. Try using the md5/image search on desuarchive that shows all the times that image was posted. Though I think there were two separate instances of this where someone posted proper scans of these images that I didn't save any of for some stupid reason and that had new details as well. Everything I mentioned is probably the most significant and there aren't detailed analysises of the differences that have been noted yet anyway.
For what it's worth here's a list of everything I've heard so far (mostly from 2ch). Obviously, take with a grain of salt.
>Ram accompanies Subaru back to the mansion, and they talk about Rem on the way.
>The Guiltyraw (Meili's demon beast) attacks the mansion along with Elsa (and other demon beasts? not sure) and there is some kind of a fight
>Frederica's beast transformation jobs and Ram is unable to fight because of stamina problems.
>Petra dies, Ram and Frederica "missing"
>Instead of Subaru getting transported to Sanctuary by Beatrice and surprise killed by rabbits, he is killed by Elsa at the mansion (putting Elsa in the lead at 4 kills)
>Some changes to Garf/Frederica's parents heritage, now apparently Garf is a half-blood while Frederica is still a quarter.
>Something about another Lewes called "Lewes Shima/Cima" (リューズ・シーマ). I have no fucking idea
>Discussion with Roswaal happens after Subaru has escaped from confinement (but why was he confined??) and Subaru has both of his eyes (I think Garf beating the shit out of him and maybe the strangulation were cut, but not sure)
>Otto protects Subaru from Tiger Garf and Garf kills him
>Typhon appears in addition to Minerva/Daphne at the tea party. No Sekhmet or Carmilla.
>The scene where Daphne shows Subaru his eye and he starves is gone.
>At the Witch of Envy's rampage, "Roswaal says weird things in the darkness and then dies"
>Volume ends in the middle of Envy's rampage, and I believe Subaru is still alive.
And miscellaneous things:
>Almost no screentime for Emilia
>"Petra is cute"
>Lots of people liked Otto's parts
>"Dona is cute and the true heroine"
Well it definitely was a meme in the WN. Can't say for sure if it is definitely in though, but I have seen a lot of people mention it.
>At the Witch of Envy's rampage, "Roswaal says weird things in the darkness and then dies"
Calling it that this is the most important change in the volume
Well for speculation purposes at least
I want to know what weird things Roswaal said
That's not good for making people care about her.
Anyhow, Remonwater says it'll be ready in the morning. Goodnight all.
We all know Emilia is going to play an important role, but most likely she is going to be more despised. She is getting...quite envious. Emilia likes Subaru and she says she will do her best to steal him away from Rem, but that's simply not going to happen...thus inviting envy.
It's less about combat outcomes and more on what that means regarding his past and long term goals. That's a notable difference that doesn't have the worryingly implications (for now) that the WN contract raised.
Well, I mean.
That's not really a change.I'm sure the handful of convos Subaru has with her is still there and mostly unchanged but a good deal of anons said the same thing about her screentime while Summaryanon has been translating the WN version. She's just kind of there until she goes nuts in a bad loop and then she picks it up in the last loop.
Anon you know it will happen. Each of the candidates will get fucked over by a sin they commit somehow. Crusch and Anastasia were fucked by Gluttony (or sloth indirectly) and Greed respectively. Felt is guilty of Wrath, Priscilla is guilty of Pride, Emilia is guilty of envy.
Those are some massive changes you have there anon. Are the Rem scenes still intact at least?
>"Petra is cute"
>Lots of people liked Otto's parts
>"Dona is cute and the true heroine"
Nips getting some fine taste nowadays
At least she was tweaked in vol 10. I really don't think there was much she could do in this part of the story. Her objective just wouldn't let her do all this leaving Sanctuary stuff. The most Tappei could do is make the conversations between Subaru and Emilia more frequent and maybe make her look more assertive again. Who knows. Maybe that's what he did.
Yeah, the man
who went out of his way to ensure Ram was left crippled, homeless, and orphaned then more or less forced her into a de facto lifelong contract to survive certainly is a good choice.
The interesting thing about the maids is that you can't reasonably share them with the same man if you care at all for Rem's well being. The poor girl has spent most of her life in Ram's shadow (most of it self imposed) trying to be the expendable substitute out of guilt and a deep rooted inferiority complex that had her believing she had little to no individual worth. Nee-sama being after the same man would open a huge can of worms. Yes, you can argue Rem would be "okay" with it but Ram, who understands and worries for her, definitely wouldn't.
Eh I still don't get why you guys hate him. Granted I'm at like episode 6 or something. The one where Subaru talks with the old man and meets Farris but this >>151475553 doesn't sound so bad. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation.
I mean, I know clowns get a bad rep in media because of the Joker but come on they aren't all bad.
Roswaal and Ram would heal Rem with plenty of love and affection.
that would be what Echidna was trying to do in life, while encountering the same problem that then: a witch souls doesn´t fit in a normal body. Dona´s body "plays" in real time because the dragon sealed it properly, while the others are frozen in time.
So i guess that yes, they would be able to come back to life again
>I'm confused. Did she end up getting compensation for that last meet up or did she actually feel emotion for the suburu mobile?
Dona is Dona. she acts on greed, that much we know for sure, and so Subaru being greedy about the ending he wants surely makes her sympathize with him. Also she has been talking to dolls of her friends for about 400 years, so I guess that she also appreciates that. he compensation I assume is what happens after subaru frees sanctuary
The witches, from my point of view, aren´t meant to be something a human can relate with that easily
Actually the entire reason why Roswaal is doing this is
because he also owns a copy of the gospel to revive a witch and is responsible for almost everything from arcs 1-4.But I think you already knew that.
Probably a moment of anger. It means nothing.
Come no guys. Why would he hug and kiss Ram if he wanted to hurt her? Why would he take her and her sister? He clearly loves her. Roswaal just has a lot on his plate. His life is very stressful. Give him a break. Not everyone has Subaru tier "just go back man" power.
See he isn't doing anything bad. He just wants to revive a girl.
Because Roswaal is planning to possess her firstborn so he can have the body to meet Echidna.
Also the person he's reviving is a Witch, you know, the ones that can destroy half the world?
Oh my mistake. He only has a book that can predict the future and deliberately used that knowledge to exploit Ram instead of saving everything she held dear and sits out of events he could easily solve to further his plans.
>Getting rejected was part of the plan
Nothing wrong with that. Roswaal doesn't intervene, even though he desperately wants to, because that would change the future and upset the balance of the world.
He can only tend to the fallout as best he could otherwise he risks causing even worse disasters. He's a tragic hero.
>Because Roswaal is planning to possess her firstborn
He's just saying that. If he only wanted Ram for that then why didn't he just put her in a dungeon and impregnate her? He clearly cares for her.
>Also the person he's reviving is a Witch, you know, the ones that can destroy half the world?
That doesn't mean she doesn't deserve a chance. What if she decides to help? Imagine how many people might be saved. Roswaal can't give up on someone like that.
Yeah I know but Roswaal isn't bad, just misunderstood.
Because its more useful to use her as a pawn plus their contract already forces her to obey his order no matter what. Considering it was Ram who left Emilia to get ambushed by Elsa so he can carry out his kekaiku. Used and abused. Worst way to go.
>That doesn't mean she doesn't deserve a chance. What if she decides to help? Imagine how many people might be saved. Roswaal can't give up on someone like that.
Witches are not to be measured by the same standards as people. Also Echidna would never help for free, and her contracts, without fail, fuck you in the ass somehow
No, he only cares for reviving Echidna and believes the gospel is his infallible path to that. He also wouldn't enslave Rem with raw deal contract terms that couldn't be broken unless someone like Subaru came around.
If he cared for the natural order he would have died of old age instead of bodyhopping his descendants for centuries. And his gospel sometimes predicts his shitty selfish meta keikaku decisions instead of a natural, rational human choice like helping out during the third arc.
He also killed Ram without any hesitation to let know Subaru that he figured out Subaru has a reset button.
>But I like Roswaal.
Good for you, nobody is going to tell you not to like a monster, that´s up to you. I´m merely pointing out that he is not a good person at all as you were trying to defend, but if you still like him anyways then fine
>Maybe he gets redeemed?
He's got a lot to make up for if he does. Don't get us wrong. He was a nice guy for a lot of the post arc 2 sidestories and in general, but he is also a huge bastard. A fun villain though.
And putting the twins in the same ship is a big no no. Ram being the cause of Rem's complexes is something Ram herself could never fix and certainly not through having them share the same man. That pretty much reinforces everything Rem believed about herself. It's not nee-san's (direct) fault Rem is that way but that's just the way things are.
>Christmas came and went
>No art of young Crusch-sama and young Fourier giving presents to Ferri
>No art of Crusch-sama's father dressed up as Santa surprising Ferri
>No art of Ferri giving presents to Crusch-sama
Got a weird flashback of this with the witches being dead
>Camilla: “Y-you look, sad... Echidna-chan. You look, very... sad.”
>Echidna: “Hm? There's no reason at all for me to be sad. You're here, and I get my chances to
>interact with the outside. —No necessity, at all.”
>Camilla: “A-are, you... okay, with that? We're... w-we're just, souls, so... we're not, really us. We're...
>mm, al-already... dead. There i-isn't, anyone... really with, you... Echidna-chan.”
>Camilla's stuttering words strike Echidna momentarily silent.
>—Echidna's power was what gave the witches, lost of their flesh and existing only as souls, their
>temporary bodies in the form of mental constructs
>So Echidna is lonely.
Why are you trying to make me like Emilia less? I'm trying so hard to like her already.
FOR 400 YERS ALL I DID WAS DRINK PISS
Rem's very ordinary happy day
Rem is not a stalker ok?
[Rem: You can’t do that, Nee-sama. If you don’t hurry, change, and get ready, then you won’t set a good example for Subaru-kun, who is an apprentice. Moreover, Subaru-kun still hasn’t recovered from the mabeast injuries, so I don’t really want to make him do work, and I feel bad……]
[Ram: …...You’re more worried about Barusu than you are worried about me, so I don’t want to wake up.]
[Rem: Nee-sama, please don’t say such pitiful things. …….But, if you take a day off, then just me and Subaru-kun will do the work. Okay. Nee-sama, today you can…....]
[Ram: Actually, I’ll get up. Alright, help me change, Rem.]
[Beatrice: Oh? You keep a diary? Quite methodical, I suppose.]
[Rem: Yes. I started doing it lately to record the daily things that happen with Subaru-kun and Nee-sama. There are still six volumes, so I’m embarrassed about being poor with writing, but……]
On second thought, maybe Rem is as bad as the UTV guy
[Rem: I wonder if it’d be weird to wear different clothes every now and then…..]
>Rem looks down on the boy lying down on the bed in this dim room and calls that name. However, that voice also seemed like it was vanishing and that it was something fragile, so there was no way it reached this boy, who was still in the middle of dreaming.
>But, she said her greetings before she entered the room, so she called out to the sleeping boy.
>[Rem: So, Subaru-kun is an oversleeper, considering how he still isn’t waking up.]
>Rem uses that type of reason to justify her actions as she stands besides the bed. And then she looks at the sleeping boy----she looks at Natsuki Subaru’s sleeping face, and the impulse she experiences inside her causes her to loosen her lips greatly.
>[Rem: Th--that’s it for today…..I can’t take much more. I have to let it go……]
>Her heartbeats speeds up. She becomes aware that not just her cheeks were having a fever, but her ears were too. Rem somehow restrains herself and pulls her attention away from Subaru’s sleeping face. She steps back. The boy is completely remotely removed from her field of vision, and she somehow recovers herself.
>[Rem: That was close…..a little more and I’d lose control of myself.]
>Rem puts her hand on her forehead, and gives herself credit for her self-control. Taking a peek on Subaru’s sleeping face was her daily routine “every morning”, but not once did she test if her offensive lust and her defensive self were settled down.
>It was always a close battle.
Wew lad. Also, why do I get the feeling I've seen this somewhere in arc 4 before with Subaru?
[Rem: Beatrice-sama, a little while ago you said that Subaru influenced both me and Nee-san……but I kinda think he’s influenced you too.]
[Beatrice: That’s some pretty severe sarcasm.]
I want to see Beatrice's tsun attitude melt off.
>Subaru was lying down on the left side of the bed, and was sleeping while holding onto the blanket with his arms. Subaru was sleeping with a black jersey. They were reproduced clothes that Rem made by copying the foreign appearance Subaru had originally. She felt warm and fluffy inside from seeing him use those clothes as his sleep-wear.
>[Rem: I really did try my best this morning, if I may say so myself. Jeez, Subaru-kun is a sinful person…..]
>If he was awake, then surely he would have asserted false accusations from those brief words.
She even shittalks him while he's asleep my word.
[Roswaal: It wouldn’t be right to make you stay here where there is the smell of liquor drifting about. Soooo, I will quickly go into the main topic…...Subaru-kun’s body.]
[Rem: Tell me about Subaru-kun’s body.]
>She didn’t just feel warm and fluffy, though. He would usually have his bangs up, but he had them down on his defenseless sleeping face and it had a childish cuteness to it. He had lips that let out surprisingly quiet breathing and pretty fingers that were holding the blanket and fiddling with it. His legs were short. He was drooling on his pillow. It was cute.
>Ram was Rem’s twin sister. “Their appearance made them look like two peas in a pod” is what she’s been told various times, but Rem did not believe it at all.
>She had a stern face and light pink eyes that were full of strong intellectual self-confidence. She had beautiful, brilliant pink hair that even had transient glossiness. She had a perfectly balanced body and slender, flexible limbs----her sister was perfect no matter what she looked at, while she was a younger sister who improperly copied her only with her outward appearance.
So Rem views those two quite differently huh? It seems Rem can only see perfection in nee-sama.
It is, I enjoy how she pokes fun at Subaru and insults him sometimes to even justify herself but with Ram its really different.
>She was always full of confidence. She was always right. She was always strong, no matter what. That was who Ram was.
And then she had conflicting feelings with the gap between her usual lust and her feelings of guilt, but today they were clear. This is because tonight wasn’t out of her self-interest, but it was a duty given to by Roswaal.
[Rem: I’ve been ordered to watch over him at a distance where I can feel him. So, it can’t be helped.]
It can't be helped.
Why doesn't Ram just let those two work alone together?
>Working alone with Barusu of all people
Disgusting, of course someone like you would say something like that.
She just doesn't want Rem to one day suddenly rape Subaru.
He embraced Rem even closer with his surprisingly strong arms as she recognized the reality. They were both in each other’s embrace, and it made Rem’s heart jump so much that it seemed like it would explode.
The angel and devil inside of Rem start fighting once again about the situation.
Then suddenly this became a Doujin plot
Rem gets too distracted and it significantly impacts their work. Plus she wants to keep at least some distance for them or Rem will rape Subaru.
>The next day, Ram came to wake up Subaru, and she saw him and Rem, who both slept in and were in an intimate situation. A situation where Subaru was given a violent scolding broke out with him not being able to argue about it.
Busted by Nee-sama
>The next day, Ram came to wake up Subaru, and she saw him and Rem, who both slept in and were in an intimate situation. A situation where Subaru was given a violent scolding broke out with him not being able to argue about it.
Holy fuck you people were not lying Subaru and Rem really did sleep together
OH MY GOD!
>Rem puts both of her hands together on the bed, and she breathed roughly. Arms went around the upper half of Rem’s body, and the man used his physical strength to forcibly pull down that girl who stiffened up.
>That sudden event causes her to blank out once more.
>She loses her cool in embarrassment as a fever rises on her face, and Rem understood the situation she was in with a blush on her face.
>She was laid down on the bed facing upwards, and she was embraced. Her uniform gets wrinkled from that reckless action, and her felt like her skirt was riding up too. ----It was a really shameless appearance.
>h a hot, rough feelings. Rem’s thoughts climax, and she falls into a state of confusion.
I am physically shaking right now
These two I swear
Rem really had no resistance to sake, although that was pathetic to the oni clan.
All of the Oni were heavy drinkers who liked sake----that was some well-known gossip, but Rem really did see adults drinking excessively while having drinking parties many times. Also, unlike Rem, Ram stayed calm even after drinking. She was the real heavy drinker. A true oni.
I guess Rem literally got drunk off the smell then, and it wasn't just nee-sama fucking around with her?
[Puck: If it’s you embracing Emilia with a bright red face, then it’s cute. Even if Betty and I want to get drunk off sake, we can’t…….I wonder if Betty is different. Her circumstances are a bit different than mine.]
Puck recites the event in a calm way, and Rem didn’t know how to respond.
Hold the fuck up. What exactly is "different" here? Is Beatrice slightly human or something?
If Betty is slightly human is there a chance that once she finds "him" she actually starts aging or something?
Maybe Echidna made a spirit that slowly turns human?
Crack theory time.
[Roswaal: He has achieved something great from the incident that happened the other day where the damage didn’t spread in the village and the mansion. Which means that I have the biggest obligation to reward him for thaaat. Thus, I’ve made various sinister plans with the Great Spiriiiit.]
Roswaal spreaded his hands and joked around, but Rem felt relieved by the sincerity of those words.
The way Roswaal spoke meant that he already had a solution. That was what Rem understood, as someone who worked for him for these past 10 years.
The question was what was the solution, and how would Puck be involved.
[Roswaal: There’s merit. There’s even a long-awaited opportunity. Soooo, I thought to guide the kingdom’s best healeeer for him. That’s why I requested a present from the Great Spirit.]
So it was Roswaal and Puck who arranged for Subaru to get healed? Didn't Crusch/Felix state that it was Emilia who asked for that? Or maybe Roswaal giving an incentive to Puck, was to get Emilia to ask for such a favor instead of then?
Just what do those two know exactly? Also maybe Roswaal or Puck explicitly said to Crusch and Ferris to say it was Emilia who arranged for Subaru to be healed for his plans? I mean he did smile when Subaru fucked up so he must have knew.
Well she does a number of things in arc 4 and 5 so don't smack her around too much.
If only Subaru would have woken up while he was doing that. The Rigel making can't come sooner.
This got very intimate very quickly
>And then she had conflicting feelings with the gap between her usual lust and her feelings of guilt, but today they were clear. This is because tonight wasn’t out of her self-interest, but it was a duty given to by Roswaal.
>[Rem: I’ve been ordered to watch over him at a distance where I can feel him. So, it can’t be helped.
Fucking hell, she just takes any possible excuse doesn't she?
She even makes excuses by shittalking Subaru to justify her position. This oni I swear. But making up excuses to salvage her pride its jsut another check on how similar she is to Subaru.
It's not really hate, as much as it dissapointment towards how little she manages to do on her own.
She did try to stand up to Regulus, but quickly was overwhelmed, which i don't fault her for since Regulus is OP as fuck. But damn do i wish she'd do SOMETHING without having to rely on others.
Winning her own trial also was due to Subaru's cheering and talking to her. She did finish it on her own, but in the end she wouldn't be able to without his support.
>[Rem: Nee-sama, do you hate Subaru-kun?]
>[Ram: Me hating him and me feeling that he isn’t appropriate for my cute Rem are two different matters.]
>Ram gives a flat denial, which makes Rem reflexively open her eyes wide at her.
>However, soon after, it changed into a smile filled with emotion.
>In other words, Ram’s reply just now meant she didn’t hate Subaru.
Don't be so tsun nee-sama we all know you love your little brother-in-law
What the hell is this woman planning?
