It was definitely the funnest Anime of the season
but AOTS is O;9 and AOTY is Rakugo
It wasn't AOTY but it was way more fun and better than I and pretty much anyone else expected. I don't remember why she made that face, though. Was it when they were eating the pro meals?
Too bad ReZero exists or I would agree with you.
The mangaka went to the anime after broadcast party.
Apparently the last episode had some animations problems because it was completed at the last minute, but there should be fixes on the BD.
There was a scene cut from last episode because they didn't have time but that should be on the BD. The author mentions he was surprised when he heard "that character" was going to appear. He mentions about it not being in the original, not sure if it's the scene with that character being anime original or if the character is anime original (and his surprise was about the kind of character that was added).
The mangaka was told that on the extra for volume 6, a certain character which isn't on the actual anime would appear, but they haven't told him who. He had the impression the director and Lynn were grinning when they told him that, so he is looking forward to who it will be.
It was definitely the most enjoyable series to watch. Even if it has major flaws, it's the best anime of the year for that reason alone. No, an SOL playing it safe and making sure no flaws exist because there is no content at all to be flawed, is not a great thing. Sure, it can be enjoyable, but ultimately something that is both good and bad is better than something that is nothing.
I think this reflects the average /a/ user very well, in fact. Because they fear failure, they do not attempt to succeed. And I don't mean success just in the worldly sense of having lots of friends, a nice house, a good job, and a family. They don't attempt to succeed at anything, including those goals which are outside normalfags idea of success. Everything fun, interesting, or fulfilling which they ever dreamed of doing, they won't even attempt out of their own cowardice. I am no different myself. Their taste in anime reflects this, as they cannot stand to see something that wins a little a fails a little, because their own life is a state of eternal procrastination.
The one from the cut scne would be either a completely original one or one that wasn't supposed to appear at that point, so likely a future character.
The one from the extra apparently is one that didn't get to appear in the anime, so unlikely to be beach-kun or the pros that were shown.
It would be nice if they released the fixed/completed version of last to streaming services too, if they admit their own fails, we shouldnt be forced to wait all the way until BDs.
So they actually still exist in the anime, even if not shown.
A teenage girl interested in guys? What a novel concept. Seriously, I know they need to appeal to the yuri-fags in series with all female cast like this, but it wouldn't hurt things to have some more straight ones like her.
Guys who work as engineers, doing things like the design of the lands. The anime changed it but on the manga they study in the same school as the girls, and have keijo theory classes together with them.
For the sake of anime consistency, they should proly change that line to something like "hot guys" like before imo.
But yeah, as >>151460434 shows, in full manga canon the gender roles are split, girls race and guys do basically everything else, build and set lands, lifeguards in the pools, referees, regular stadium staff and administration etc.
It's literally just a jungle gym and a plane look-a-like piece of floating land, why are you impressed?
Absolute degeneracy, women can do all of that, what's the point of introducing guys in a yuri manga? Not like the author needs to have it be realistic.
Who /sayaka/ here?
Does anyone have stitches from the first 4 episodes? I didnt start collecting until the 5th :(
>guys do basically everything else, build and set lands, lifeguards in the pools, referees, regular stadium staff and administration etc.
And don't forget to fuel Fujosaki's fujo tendencies
here is this one in higher rez
>tfw Non will never smother me with her soft buns
Castle is the impressive one, they literally tilted the huge structure without it collapsing
NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER
Don't stop us now the moment of truth
We were born to make history
We'll make it happen, we'll turn it around
Yes, we were born to make history
Born to make history
(Born born born to)
You are right, the start is kinda slow, but it's worth it.
As you've seen in the anime, it only gets crazier, even beyond what the anime covered.
That's the kind of crazy, over the top stuff I was expecting!
I liked that the anime started off at that level, right now it feels like a boring ordinary sports manga instead of one where people scream their attack names as the background is filled with lightning flashes and their power animal.
The TnA is still much better in the anime, Xebec is unbeatable for TnA
They don't deserve to call themselves feminists if they think keijo is bad, or against their principles.
>Main cast is all female in a genre, seinen sports, dominated by MC males.
>None of the girl talks or even cares about someone's cock, except for some secondary character who isn't in a stable relationship.
>All the girls work very hard to achieve reasonable and personal goals (be professional athletes for their own reasons), and once again, these goals are completely unrelated to males.
>The cast is diverse enough: there are small and big girls; they have different skin tones and hair types (although, afaik, none of the them is confirmed to be a niggress); slim, athletic and even a fat ones, like the teacher and the wall.
>None of the girls are truly "evil". While on competition, they do their best, but on their regular lives, they hang around and enjoy their company as if nothing. They are sis to each other.
>There aren't any damsel in distress to be rescued, each one of them is quite capable on her own.
Fuck, if they were fighting with their arms and legs in a gi rather than tits and ass on a swimsuit, the feminists would be giving blowjobs to the author and the studio because this show hits every mark of every demand they have ever made to every popular show.
Fuck, we could made an argument about how using their tits and ass to fight isn't objectification, but empowerment. The author takes something that typically is used as visual decoy for males pleasures and weaponize it. In other words, what other shows use to attract and excite males, in this show is proven to be WMD.
How often have people in 4chan posted about not messing with keijo girls, unless you want your cock being ripped off?
It's doing bad. The publisher has no plans (so far) of making digital/kindle version of volume 14. Lazy fucks almost took two weeks to provide a product description/summary of the latest volume.
It's funny to think of it that way, but I guess you're right. I honestly never really found it all that erotic; the physics were just too out there and the focus more on the characters' personalities to view it in a sexual light.
All of which reminds me of another controversial show...
For most mangas and LNs, the digital version is released some time after the printed one. The ones that get simultaneous release are exceptions.
In Keijo's case, the digital version usually comes out about 30 days after the printed one.
ehh might as well dump that extra, specially now that ppl know the elites more
this page is misleading, Aoba really is pure
I want to see her again. I miss her. I'm glad someone gave her a hug.
I wanted to buy it, but even with the current discount, it's still way too expensive because of the import fee of 95% over both the product and shipping costs.
You must be living in a really shitty place because it's nowhere near that expensive for me.
Sleep well, my sweet princess.
My internet went off yesterday and I got a call from cox today that said that my account was flagged for downloading Keijo and that if I did it again my account would be suspended
It's a good thing it happened at episode 12, unless there are bonus episodes but I don't know if those would count or not
As long as there is ass on Earth the fighting won't end. Ass Graduation Festival, continues…
Time for Mio to go out.
Miyata is in disguise because she have been very popular after beating Naki.
Only Nozomi recognizes her. Don't matter the disguise, there is no way she wouldn't recognize such... poor breasts.
Why didn't she just watch it from home then? But Miyata didn't want to miss seeing up and close this race, afterall...
It's a race between their number one and a goketsu. Her name is Hoshide Hikari.
For this race we have Mio, Suzuho, Hikari, two girls we don't know.
Mio " naisuto shiichuu! (no idea what english she means here) Miss Hoshide! Very very hip fight lets enjoy."
Hikaru (not Hikari, sorry for the miss a few posts back) thanks god for letting her met such an amazing woman who would even shake hands before a race. And then she asks forgiveness...
... for having to crush the ass of a youngling with such promise. Remaining player complains how Hoshide says some really rude things whiler asking for atonement.
As Usagi has been stalking Mio for so long, she learned how to act without being noticed by the target. She not only stay away from their field of vision, but also can act without making a noise, vibration, or scent.
When Kuriyama notices she already has Usagi's ass on her face not letting her breath. One is down.
Gravity Ass. Hikaru asks forgiveness for her actions that will crush the dreams of those young girls, her sinful ass.
Ops, the comment here >>151487088 is actually for this page, last one of the chapter.
>There's a keijo game?
>Where's this from?
They did some collaboration and they have some swimsuits designs from keijo in the game.
>They did some collaboration and they have some swimsuits designs from keijo in the game.
Didn't know about this but I'm not too surprised since they've done a few collaborations like Senran Kagura and Mai Shiranui.
I really wish there was a Keijo game. They could make it work like the Wrestle Angel series of games which are basically sport sims where you create and manage a girl's training, techniques, and stress levels.
I agree, it can definitely be a unique game; in a sense that we already have lewd VNs, RPGs, dungeon crawlers and beat em ups in the genre, but to have something like a wrestling game style gameplay with moe ecchi girls would be pretty refreshing. Even a 3D field fighting game would work (like dragonball xenoverse style), would be more fun than 2D plain like DoA games.
I'd picture it working something like Smash Brothers in that it'd be less about health bars and more about increasing opportunities to sink or cause a down. Like having a meter for fatigue and one for balance. When the fatigue meter is maxed it would be easier to score a down whereas a maxed off-balance meter would make it easier to send someone overboard.
There's already a number of land types in the anime and a large variety of fighters. Even though the manga puts a lot of focus on 1 on 1 fights you could still have the 6 girl free-for-alls the gambling aspect of the sport focuses on and it'd be cool if you could also place bets on such fights to gain money for your gym.
I guess I could just go to JP PSN or search the Japanese internet for more info about it, but I'm a bit turned off by DoA altogether. The characters are great. The fighting system is solid. The DLC that costs more than the base game urges me to play something else.

Damn, I would love this, great idea.
I've seen Keijo's end and I just don't know how to fill the gap in my heart that's been left behind.
I now have to imagine a highly functional autistic child whos only talent is shitposting. Kind of like the Rain Man of shitposters, Bait Man or something like that. It is an amazingly scary thought.
Well well well, now this will surely be something. People here were asking to see Mio in real action and its finally here, and racing against no less than one of goketsu. (rabbit, will proly help too)
Both against the goketsu and against Suzuho, considered the current strongest west player.
I think Usagi will not take long to sink. She already got to show how she improved and even sank one adversary already.
And then Sayaka did beat one of the goketsu. Rin helped and she had to use various tactics, but in the end it was Miyata herself with the fundoshi mode and that attack she made while on it that made the biggest difference. So now I'm expecting Mio to be evenly matched with a goketsu, at least when she goes all out.
No idea. But it certainly has something to do with her using the space suit all the time.Interesting to remember that on the chapter we see her entrance, she does crush the earth where she lands.
I did some research, Keijo's production should actually be making profit based on official Chinese stream views.
Assassination Classroom was around 40,000,000 total views for 22 episodes and their producer claimed streaming was enough to cover all their production costs.
Keijo is 35,000,000 total views for 12 episodes
Ecchi sport anime/manga maybe isn't popular there? Probably the demographic which likes sport is different from that which likes ecchi, idk. It's also a battle shounen / parody mix. Maybe they just don't get the comedy.
I am surprised the chinese of all people are enjoying this series so much, although I never even researched before on what type of anime the chinese like the best.
this reminds me of the SNES Tae Kwon Do game, in which you can knock the opponent out or win by outscoring the opponent when time runs out, or by knocking the opponent down 5 times; the more a character is fatigued (not only by being attacked, but by attacking and moving around, iirc), the easier it is to knock them down (they also take a longer time to recover their balance when knocked back, and their movement and attacks seem to become slower), the fatigue can be lessened by not attacking
I guess that the winning conditions would be either knock-outs, knockdowns or ring-outs (and then, the ero over rule); for the first, either one HP gauge or multiple ones (for different body parts); for the second, another gauge (with less stamina, it's harder to keep standing and moving and attacking, and to maintain balance; if the legs are damaged, the player's body weight becomes even more of a burden); for the third, don't know if another gauge is really needed (stamina affects balance, but although one can fall in the land due to not being able to stand, one can also have her balance affected and fall in the land due to that too, not just fall out of the land)
There could also be 4vs4 team matches (like the East/West war arc ones)
This sounds too good to be true but I would be forever thankful to China if they got us more of this masterpiece.
Well at least we're getting best girl.
Anyone know whats happening in that top right panel? is that the sword hilt? how does that work? it should be sticking out the back
Nozomi a CUTE
It serves as a limiter for her attack that is powerful enough to create a crater in the ground. It's not a whole blade, she just holds it in her cheeks.
uh, they are really kinda butt-shaped
I know how her skill works, I'm asking about the panel itself. I'm no expert but shouldnt her swordhilt tilt backwards when she seats?
even if it does tilt forward, it should be between her legs and not to her side
She clearly controls the sheer weight of her ass as she pleases, allowing her to not only be physically unmovable by others if she so wished it (at least in terms of the lower body) but also to tilt and shift the race in her direction to catch opponents by surprise.
my guess is that she is either somehow making the land right below her gain density (unlikely since the compression would deform the land right below her, like how the ground below her was cracked when she first appeared), or using a strong downward force (say, she does it with her hips and the legs withstand the force, transmitting it to the land), she wouldn't have to exert enough force to push the whole weight of the land (and its players) down, just enough to displace the water below where she's standing.
Now for why did the ground break on her first appearance, either she did it on purpose or she didn't; either she does like to crush things and thus it's part of her personality, or the air inside her spacesuit is compressed, enough to crush the ground as she's landing (I think that the air can't be lighter than actual air because since the air inside the suit is leaving the suit, she wouldn' need to try to use a gravity gimmick to get down, at least unless she does have an S personality, who likes to crush things and people).
I don't think that compressing her own hip or butt (or somehow moving them so fast that their mass increases the closer they approach the speed of light, which would require a lot of energy too) to increase its density would be an explanation, unless there's also an explanation for how they (and the rest of her body) aren't damaged in the process
>Have to depend on the Chinese to wrest control of the anime market away from otaku filth
What a crazed world we live in
>Chink commie wgetting better taste than nips
The chinks are the true assman?
I want to be Nozomi's boyfriend!
I want to support her through thick and thin!
I want to hold her in my arms and dry her tears when she tells me it's all becoming too much and she's not sure if she's gonna make it!
I want to cook meals with lots of meat or fish for her and tell her she needs the protein!
I want to give her small gifts to show I appreciate her and how hard she works!
I want to go on dates with her and play vidya at the arcade!
I want to go to the cinema with her and watch horror movies so she can laugh at me when she discovers how easy it is to scare me!
I want to cuddle her and hold her body against me!
I want her to tell me how strong her butt has gotten!
I want her to tell me to squeeze her butt, and then tease me for being so prudish!
I want to call her every day, to make sure she takes good care of herself and doesn't overwork her body!
I want to be on the front row for every major competition she is in!
I want to be the first to congratulate her when she wins!
I want to be the first to console her when she loses!
I want to support her all the way to the Olympics!
I want to watch her fulfill her dream of becoming extravagantly rich and eating lavish meals every day!
I want to be princess carried by her when she finally earns the grand prize and wants to celebrate!
I want to marry her!
I want to lose my virginity to her on our wedding night!
I want to take her virginity from her on our wedding night!
I want to have babies with her!
I want to be a househusband and raise our children while she keeps competing in the sport she loves!
I want to grow old with her!
I want to look through old albums and reminisce about our time together with her!
I want to be by her deathbed in her final hours!
I want to hear that she has lived a happy life and can die without regrets!
The chinks are not what anime deserves, but what anime needs.
I thought they were joking about her being Iowa.
>feminists jerk off to Utena
>Killer Kill is somehow not kosher
it's interesting to imagine how Nozomi wouldn't have a chance to win in her first matches against Sayaka and Usagi (and maybe Kotone), if the latter were as good as they are now (or vice-versa).
About the current match, I think that, if only one player advances, it would be Mio. Suzuho might save Usagi from Hikaru but won't be able to win against her, Mio will be busy with the muscular player, then it will be a 2 vs 1 match (maybe Mio will finally give Usagi more attention as a result, even if Usagi loses as long as she puts up a good fight, and Usagi might even outlast Hikaru so that the two have a match among themselves).
Maybe Mio outlasts Suzuho because she trained with the other elite class members (where Nozomi and Sayaka went to, instead of leaving with Suzuho), maybe also because she thinks that by doing so she would have the best growth as a player so that she would one day have a proper match against Nozomi, like she wanted.
>it's interesting to imagine how Nozomi wouldn't have a chance to win in her first matches against Sayaka and Usagi (and maybe Kotone), if the latter were as good as they are now (or vice-versa).
Hm isn't that just obvious though? Don't even need to be current. Sayaka who beat Rin would be more than enough to beat Nozomi at her first try at keijo state.
Well, I don't know if you're only following the summary chapter by anon here. But before this clash against goketsu fiasco. We've seen how Nozomi developing her new technique in a match against that soft-and-hard ass on Ai's arc. Based on that, I think Nozomi still able to keep up with Sayaka and Usagi.
if Mio is shown to be a better player than Suzuho (she doesn't even have to play against her), it would be scary for Nozomi and Sayaka, to try to imagine how much better Mio is than them. Wonder if Suzuho's soeur will sit near Nozomi and the others and comment on the match.
current Nozomi would indeed be a balanced match with current Sayaka and Usagi, what I meant was current Sayaka (think of it as a "new game+") vs first playthrough Nozomi, for example.
Keijo wasn't even the best sports anime this season.
Keijo didn't even have the best backsides in a sports anime this season.
would like to know the source too
anyways, interesting thread here:
and a guesstimate of money income from streams (even if the numbers aren't precise):
I wonder though if in case of Xebec's contract, their only mean of income is the BDs/DVDs (or how much of the anime production was paid by the production committee, I don't even know who's part of it in Keijo's case)
The point about producer saying streaming was enough to cover production cost was from a tv program that has long been taken down
The only official Chinese streaming site to have Assclass is bilibili
The only official Chinese streaming site to have Keijo is pptv
Keijo was maybe not the aoty but it was the biggest surprise I thought it would be really bad but it was hype and I like how the story decided to up the ante rather than to make fun of itself.
For a show with a lot of great ass-shots, this one still takes the crown. Was just the perfect way to end the anime
All we need for a Keijo game is a fast-paced 3d Senran Kagura clone. Give each girl a weak attack, a strong attack, a few signature super-attacks that consume a meter of some sort, and change the combat from musou style to 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, etc. and make the arenas an increasingly complex series of lands.
dammit, thats another stitch I dont have
too many to choose from. just watch it, you will be pleasantly surprised
Keijo fights are awesome, I really hope they make a new season
True and good point. This was sobering to read after leaving the hibike threads. This is making me question my taste in anime as well. I usually avoid anything that challenges me morally or emotionally and I try to never get attached to things because I'm afraid they won't meet my expectations. I'm afraid of openly expressing my thoughts and feelings in case I'm wrong, because I'm afraid of being judged, because I fear rejection. Thanks anon, you've given me something to think about.
>inb4 edgy kid says something nihilistic to make me feel like shit
Street Keijo V
character love: Nozomi, Mio, Fuyuyu
grappler: Sayaka, Sumire
heavy-hitter: Kaya, Misaki (a.k.a. bear goketsu)
hard to choose a main.. I'm sure I would have fun playing other characters too
Or two. I presume the second season would mostly focus on the girls moving ahead to A rank, then third would cover the currently running tournament event, which pretty much means season of nonstop action. Would be glorious.
Things got really out of hand in the last episode
copy pasting my thoughts for possible chapters for the end of a second season:
Some candidates for a second season ending would be chapters 126, 138, 142 and 145:
- chapter 126 would be probably the most climactic ending of the 4 (chapter 91 through 126 = 36 chapters)
- chapter 138 wouldn't be as climactic as 126 and would end in a cliffhanger (chapter 91 through 138 = 48 chapters)
- chapter 142 wouldn't be as climactic as either 126 or 138, but would have a nice surprise which might build expectations for a 3rd season (chapter 91 through 142 = 52 chapters)
- chapter 145 wouldn't be as climactic as 126 or 138, would be around the same level of chapter 142, but leaves the audience right at the start of a more interesting arc (3rd season material), and would (imho) wrap up an unresolved matter in the same season, instead of leaving it to the next one (chapter 91 through 145 = 55 chapters)
one thing to consider, though, is that some important parts weren't adapted (such as Kazane's sister, Nozomi's siblings and dad), apparently to save time (in what people, myself included, could consider "adaptation compression"), so some/many not-so-important parts might be changed or not adapted, to make it possible to adapt a larger number of chapters, or adapt a lower number of chapters (so there would be less adaptation compression), or adapt a lower number of chapters while adding stuff that couldn't be added in the first season.
I think is two factors. At one hand, iirc, the dvd are kinda expensive. I don't know if is because they include a lot of stuff, or something else, but 8k for two episodes is a bit more than you would pay for some other series. And at the other hand, the concept is enough by itself to turn away people. Watching on stream or torrenting is one thing, you close your browser or player and that's it. But owning physical evidence of enjoying a show about girls fighting with tits and ass... is an awkward topic of conversation.
Why is she so perfect?
- is the current chapter (162) a double chapter? (meaning that the next one will be released the wednesday after the next one)
- is there any place where I can see how's it been doing in Weekly Shonen Sunday's Table of Contents?
Shows like Keijo!!!!! are always low-budget wich means that they don't have much time to work on the anime and have to sacrifice quality. They would have kept an ideal schedule if they could, but their money and the deadline set by the broadcasters prevented them from doins it.
Probably Rabbit girl. She seems like she would be annoying to play against and I like floaty characters that piss people off.
Where's this week's episode?
