Arise didn't have to suck. I would've even settled for slick action and a good soundtrack. They couldn't even get the surface elements of GitS right though, let alone the deeper content. All of the fights were terribly animated and the soundtrack tried so hard to be unique and different that it forgot to sound not terrible. Jormungand nailed a unique sound while also sounding awesome, how did IG's prized IP fuck it up?
