So with ARC-V coming to an end, and things like the legacy characters being hit and miss. If we could have gotten more characters or replaced some of the ones we got, who would you like to see, and what cards would they use?

I keep seeing decklists with the pendulum magicians and Dark magician suport, that would have been great if Yugi could have shown up in Arc-v, but thats kind of Yuya's thing already. I also saw a thread somewhere where someone wanted Ryo Marufuji to show up in the fusion dimension, using a mix of his fusion and xyz cyber dragons.

Personally I would really like Joey or someone to sneak in somewhere before the series ends. Give us some more red eyes stuff, or new cards for his various warriors and beast warriors

Like if you're going to have an edgy character at least give him depth and personality. In fact, lets take a look at two edgelords from the show: Yuya and Shun.

Yuya (albeit starting out as an overly happy character) is an example of a poorly done one. He whines all the time, cries over his girlfriend he never actually kisses, and constantly tries to force his shitty moral code on people. Plus he has the stereotypical "rage-mode". Something finally pushes him to the edge and he goes off and gets mad. Normally this is alright, but generally never good or great; its just a generic anime troupe. But Arc-V managed to make it worse by having his edgy form A) not be intimidating in the slightest B) never letting him just outright obliterate opponents in any way shape or form; he just jobs like always until he's saved by the action card C)his rage is turned off immediately at the sight/touch of a Ruri D) his rage really has no depth besides "muh Yuzu"

Shun on the other hand is a much better done edgelord, albeit not perfectly. Unlike Yuya, he A) is extremely intimidating, especially when we first meet him. He absolutely destroys his opponents with a sense of control and calm rage that was both impressive and demanded respect B) His appearance is more suited to someone who is actually trying to fight. Without the hair, he actually looks moderately normal (for a YGO character) C) he actually has a reason for his rage and fury that's legitimate. Yeah, we see him freak out about it sometimes, but normally he's able to stay calm and collected until provoked. In addition, this rage is a driving force in his character, and we see him learn to accept what happened and try to forgive those responsible, in a sense maturing as his playstyle/xyz monsters evolve.
