I always liked her. And how can anyone who actually watched anime or read VN call her retarded? Mayuri may seem airheded, but she is perceptive and intuitive. After all it was her who figured out that Daru is (will be) Suzu's father in alpha-line.

It felt a bit out of place, but I guess you need fanservice in a movie where a chick is the MC. Also Suzuha somehow remembered everything, and it made a loop of where Hoouin Kyoma came from, and made Kurisu into a child molester. I also liked how they had Yuki in the special, but she looked like Suzuha, while the current one looks noticeably different, and the fact that some random jap cosplayer would own a car like that and would be in America make me kek.

Reading Steiner is actually the power of a God, in its ultimate form - being able to observe all worldlines simultaneously. But I don't think that the human brain and DNA were meant to be understood by humans, hence all the sufferring, war and death resulting. I also hoped that the movie would have Reading Steiner overload to a degree like I stated anove, or he gets ripped from the flow of time, essentially becoming a drifter through time, with world lines changing around him constantly. Instead, he got sent into some shitty little empty parallel wotld.

Honestly I was expecting some more worldline hopping from 0 as the future and therefore the present should keep warping thanks to so many different variables being at play. We got what, Alpha jump (which was admittedly a stellar scene and handled very well), a worldline where the Soviet Union never breaks up and Kagari's memories being overwritten. I guess there's the initial split where Okabe either turns his phone off at the shrine or not but that's hardly what I'm talking about since the catalyst for the split are clear to the player.

Don't get me wrong I loved Zero and I haven't done Maho or Kagari's endings yet so maybe I'm talking prematurely, but I feel like they wasted a lot of potential. Like when Okabe was time leaping from 2036 back to 2011, and it was essentially glossed over. The entire scene before that was building up his conviction and resolve to get back and do things right, but all that build had absolutely no immediate payoff. I get that the true ending in S;G is the actual payoff for a lot of this build up, but what they were going for doesn't really work like that. Maybe they'll get a bit more creative with the anime adaptation.

I liked it. I don't think the new mechanic is really that much stupider than some shit in the show (but I'm tired of arguing about that here) and it had good kurisu/okabe moments and a really good scene with his friends talking about him. Bad sci fi, good excuse to watch the characters some more.
